Something I've been thinking. Looking at the roster, there are 6 3rd-Party characters in a roster of 58 characters. Altogether, including Brawl, 7 3rd-Party characters have made an appearance in Smash. And not just that, but these characters are characters that people have just wanted to see fight against their favorite Nintendo All-Stars. And some of them are characters that many thought could never be possible, yet it was made possible by a man with a love for video games.

Do you think at this point, Smash has matured from a game about duking it out with your favorite Nintendo All-stars to a game where everybody gets to release their inner child with their favorite gaming All-stars of many gaming eras? After just how many boundaries were broken for this title, how do you think this might affect future titles? No doubt that Smash to a sense would still be mostly about Nintendo characters, but how would you feel about more 3rd-parties and more boundaries being broken?

He wore it at a costume party a week or whatever prior, it wasn't a part of his actual clothing before Undertale, it sure as hell doesn't make him an ACTUAL Starman.)

As well, Starmen rely HEAVILY on PSI powers. Neither Sans nor Papyrus use anything remotely similar to them, and even the loose "Sans gets around using PSI Teleport" doesn't make sense since he's literally just casually walking instead of the massive speed you need in Earthbound.

We all know that Tropes Are Not Bad, but since Tropes Are Not Good, are there any tropes that annoy you guys when played straight? I'm looking for some things to make a list of what to avert/play with in case I finally get off of my lazy butt and create some sort of project.

Does Flanderization count?

Almost every case of Flanderization I know of is something that ended up being for the worse (when it's changing up a character dramatically so that a few characteristics evolve into the defining trait that makes up that character's personality, it's to be expected) and so, it's probably my most disliked trope. The entire main cast of Spongebob has suffered from it and it's among the many factors that has lead to it's diminished quality in modern episodes.

And I will say the Liar Revealed trope is essentially a cliche and for the most part is a crummy way to add a twist to a story, but some movies can make it work for one reason or another. How to Train Your Dragon did it pretty well, IMO.

The starman part of it isn't really the focus. That's the weakest part of the argument and I think that Papyrus needs a theory on his own to try and figure out what his real relation is.

Yeah this just has way too many gaps for me, I'm sorry. Unless you expect to tell me Sans somehow learned photoshop to mess with us, Frisk has no reason to recognize Sans as clearly as he did. With that in place, everything else is purely wild speculation. A Badge being there doesn't make it a Franklin Badge, maybe it's a badge for the Underground's Science Division prior to Alphys or something. Again, we don't know that it is or know that it isn't.

Aladdin and the genie argue about whether to tell Jasmine the truth. Later on, Jafar reveals Aladdin's true identity, but Jasmine isn't angry with Aladdin for lying, mainly because the princely exterior was mainly a cover for the street-rat she first met and fell in love with.

I might recall the part about Aladdin and Genie talking about dropping the disguise, but when did Jafar reveal his identity to Jasmine? Last time I checked, Jasmine figured him out after that the Whole New World song and the stuff just before that. I don't remember ANYPART in the movie where Jafar revealed Prince Ali's identity. Heck, last time I checked, Jasmine figured it out before Jafar did.
I could understand the second and third movies, in which Aladdin didn't talk about Iago or his father being the King of Thieves, but I am more than sure that the Jafar revealing Aladdin's true identity never happened.
