My problem is that the Undertale fanbase won't ever ****ing shut up. EVERY fan is all 'OMG PLEE UNDERTRASH IT'S THE BEEEEEST GAEM EVURRRRR' and as someone who disliked almost everything the game had to offer, I'm tired of it. It's the gaming equivalent of Kim Kardashian, everywhere, yet I don't give a **** but it's everywhere, meaning I have to see it all the ****ing time. With everyone hyping it up, I was led to disappointment. THAT'S why I'm absolutely sick of Undertale being the conversation here. It was suggested PLATINUM ****ING STUDIOS of all people work on Undertale, so quite frankly, I've had enough

IDK to be honest, perhaps a Starmen just got itself hiddenly attached to Mr. Saturn time machine and became corrupted to the point where he was good. I don't know about the Starmen too much nor the plot of Earthbound as a whole, so correct me if I'm wrong.

They talk with whirs and beeps in the english version, and in the Japanese version they are given text which is commonly used for robots

However, they have "ghosts"...so, maybe they are living beings in mechanical suits? Although their ghosts are in suits

Not much is known about their species but they've always been high ranking soldiers in Giygas' army

Starmen don't seem to be able to walk around and constantly teleport. This is seen as well in Super Smash Bros where they teleport around and fire their weapons.

The only time it bugged me through was Malificent, but only because it was full of tropes and cliche's

I really like Undertale not just because of the story, the music, the characters, and the fights/dates, but also because it's definitely helped me in real life.

I've been undergoing heavy depression and not really wanting to live anymore, but Undertale's theme, living with determination, no matter how hard life may be, has definitely lifted my spirits. Knowing I have people who care for me, and knowing that if I stay determined and continue to have my hopes and dreams I can press through life, one step at a time, and accomplish what I want to do in life. While I'm still depressed, it's not near to the extent of what it was before and honestly, I feel a lot better about myself.

That's really why I love Undertale as much as I do. It's lifted my spirits, and made me determined again.
Damn it, now I'm crying.

Boobs And Butt Pose. Like... I get it. Boobs are awesome, and butts are awesome. But twisting a woman's spine to look almost alien looks more horrifying (and painful) than sexy.

Alternatively, Liar Revealed. You know it's going to happen, you can tell when it's going to happen, and when it does you have to deal with the moping and crying until they get back together. Rinse and repeat.

I'm going to echo Substitution and the Nostalgia Critic and say the Liar Revealed trope. It's just way too predictable at this point. Even if the movie is otherwise good, I'll still groan at this. Especially since there'll inevitably be a montage or long segment dedicated to everyone moping about what happened.


Oddly I wasn't bothered by Aladdin though. Maybe because the actual story's so old it gets grandfather claus'd in.

I don't think Smash Bros should be used to support your claim.
Perhaps somehow, Ness combined with a Starmen after the battle with Giygas and forged into a skeleton, who we now know as Sans. I'm kinda stretching it though. Maybe Giygas himself was able to mesh with Ness in the battle to become a skeleton monster. Wait a minute...

OR MAYBE...

DR. ANDONAUTS IS SANS.

See the striking resemblance, especially the smile in the final boss of the Earthbound hack.

And Papyrus is a Starmen who chose to transform into a skeleton monster when Dr. Andonauts, now Sans, decided to aid him in his quest to help him save the Jeff's friends, with the Starmen becoming embodied to it for a very long time after many time travels with Sans.

Yes it's perfectly ok to think undertale is trash, but you shouldn't get worked up over it. it's like when people disliked the final smash broadcast, no one here really bashed them even if they didn't disagree. They were respectful. Which is something you should consider. No one is attacking you over this, just letting you know you shouldn't get angry over something. If you don't like it, ignore it. It's better that way.

It's like the old saying goes:

" If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"

I'm trying to sound mean by using that, but it's a fair statement to use.

As I've said before, I don't intend to play undertale( even though I like earthbound), and the fanbase can get out of hand sometimes, but here it's been fine. I do like to see a fanbase when it's not outrageous.

For example, theories like these I find interesting , even if I'm not a fan myself. It's good to have a dedicated fanbase.

I don't mind seeing things like these, and I don't think it's worth getting angry about if it doesn't interest you.

It may be good to just cool off a bit, and think things over. If you want to come back, then we won't shun you away, if you want to leave the site, then I wish you luck!

Either way the choice is yours, and I hope you understand and aren't offended by anything I've said.

Stephen really wasn't a believable villain.

While Wicked took the concept and it worked, I felt Maleficent was just...kinda dull. Like, Jolie acted well, but that was about it for me. Like, it's one thing to take The Wizard of Oz, where the movie's known for a lot of things (more than just the Witch). But when you take Sleeping Beauty and make a movie about Maleficent, who is far and away one of Disney's most popular villains to this day, and change her entire character, it kinda seems unnecessary.

That and I'm still salty that Disney Infinity used the Jolie version instead of the Classic version because marketing.

I'd go so far as to say that Liar Revealed is the main reason I'm reluctant to watch movies unless I've done a massive check of the synopsis. The dead horse has been beaten to a powder at this point even without mentioning the "hero does something they were specifically instructed not to" plots that have essentially the same fallout. Before troping I thought I just had an issue with conflicts that weren't a clear cut "good guy Vs. bad guy" and just had horrible taste in media, but thinking on it I don't really mind a plot without a proper villain or with a side Man vs. Self conflict if the conflict isn't set up to have the Liar Revealed situation ready to beat you over the head at any second. I like movies that other people consider garbage because they're some of the only ones I've seen that don't utterly beat you over the head with Liar Revealed.
