Much like Reggie on his daily routine... the 2014 Digital Event still kicks ass to this day. Rewatching it propels me to paradise. I remember the first time I watched it with a bunch of friends. There's nothing inherently wrong with clones if they do something to stand out from the originals.
Which is why Dark Pit and Lucina are lackluster IMO.

I basically checked Smash's roster, saw it had 58 characters, so I thought that 29 characters(almost half of Smash's roster) would be good for a start. I also looked at the Racing games' characters, hence 6 Sonic characters since Sega likes to give Sonic attention. And I know there are no Atlus characters, but since 6 slots were already taken and there are a tone of Sega characters, I decided to do all Sega. And hey, I'm more than certain that if a Sega Smash ever happened, this would not be the roster, but hey, I can be at least more original than what they would do.

Yes, he was recent, but he wasn't put in for popularity in the slightest. Sakurai specifically stated he was put in for advertising sake, not popularity.

Because I wanted to wait til it was all out so I could take it in one massive sitting.
And I'm gonna sit this one the hell out, just like the FF7 remake if this is what they're running with it.

Let me just say that I'm a fan of Dark Pit in Uprising, and was actually a character I had supported, but I've got to say that 1, he was executed rather poorly, not to mention there was only one reason for his inclusion, his Final Smash being different from Pit. Only thing is that there's no real thing preventing him from using the Three Sacred Treasures, it's a suit of armor, not like it's damaging to the canon or anything (Alph using the Hocatate and the Koopalings turning into Shadow Mario are admittedly much more damaging to the canon then Dark Pit sharing Pit's final smash) so I've got to say, he can be made more unique, but I've got to say that I feel that an alt would be the best direction for him, but that's just how I feel.
