Geno and Lloyd basically are going off of bias picks.
Tingle... is VERY debatable.
Viridi's chances are miniscule without another Kid Icarus game.
Zoroark... I can't see the hopes of being brought in at this point. The only time we've gotten a pokemon not heavily relevant in the current gen is which had a star power behind him.
Fiora's going to become irrelevant because the story of Shulk is closed. The series is moving on without the original cast and it'd be like suggesting Paula from Earthbound.

And you know how I feel about arcade bunny.

When adding Geno and Lloyd I was thinking less of iconism and more of fan requests.
Tingle I felt was worthy due to having a series of his own.
I thought it'd be nice to have a sythe weilder on the roster and thought that another goddess would also be cool, so I added Viridi. (Also because Sakurai bias)
Zoroark I added because of his unqiue illusion abilities and because gen. 5 really needs more love.
Fiora I feel is slowly building a reputation for herself with Project X Zone 2 and (Sorta) Xenoblade Chronicles X.
And you're supposed to feel weird about the bunny, because he's a WTF character.

Good criticisms indeed if I do say so myself.

I feel the exact opposite haha.

I think both of Corrin's designs are utterly spectacular.

Robin still looks good and all but they don't hold a candle to Corrin for me.

I may prefer Ridley but assuming it's the original trilogy design this is an acceptable alternative.

I guess that's a matter of opinion, but they did try to differentiate them this time by making them either historical Japanese or European based. To be fair, I wasn't a huge fan of Awakening's designs at first because I felt they were a huge departure from the other games in the series. Probably once I play Fates I'll like them.

Shulk's first encounter with a Telethia. In the actual game, he first encountered one on a beach near a huge lake. This is also where he meets Alvis and learns Monado Purge. In the Smash screenshot, a similar scene is depicted, just it's an ocean and not a lake outside of the beach.

And of course they put him in his swimming trunks for added humour.

Regarding the Robin/Corrin comparison, I prefer Robin's design because I feel it's much more distinct and has a better mix of colours, while Corrin is just a white blob with a ton of armour lines here and there.

I also just really like how Robin looks in Codename STEAM. In general, I actually think the FE characters look more likeable in that art style. That's part of the reason I would love for Roy and Corrin to be added to the game.

Yuuri is the main character of Fatal Frame, I added her due to her moveset potential and because I wanted to represent the horror genera.

Lloyd was added for fanservice.

Dark Pit was cut because I really couldn't find ways to semi-clone him, due to only three differences between him and Pit.

Lucina I wanted to cut in favor of Anna, and I didn't want FE to be too overrepresented. Since she was the least unique she was low priority.

And now you know.

You know, watching the Final Smash Presentation reaction videos, pretty much everyone was seething with hatred right off the bat.

And yeah, Corrin was pretty uncalled for and unnecessary and we would have been fine with just Marth and Ike for that matter, but my gosh the level of salt everyone had and likely still has is depressing.

I don't think it helps anything that outside of Mewtwo and Mega Man, there have never been any characters even close to having a unanimous sense of agreement on their deserving the position in this fandom, at least in the Smash 4 speculation era. After all, Bayonetta won the Smash Ballot, and look how many people hate her!

Considering the number of people screaming for Owain and Tharja of all things during the pre-E3 2013 era and the sheer amount of bullying that occurs when nearly any character is suggested, the Fire Emblem overload kinda strikes me as a sort of sick Karma. Ask for ridiculous characters and show your community to be literally unpleasable outside of two characters we actually did end up getting? This is what you get, kids!

And if this fandom tried to actually get along instead of constantly trying to rip itself apart, I'd even go so far as to say we'd have gotten less Fire Emblem characters and more of whatever our consensus was for our trouble.

Geno's fan requests have only been growing worse and worse since Brawl closed and Lloyd was never a powerhouse on that.
Tingle's DEBATABLE, not "unworthy."
I stand by my point against Viridi.
Gen 5 got a stage and a fair amount of Pokeball summons (Kyurem, Genosect, Meloetta, Snivy, Victini, Zoroark, etc...)
Fiora has no ties to Xenoblade X don't you lie. Being used in a crossover isn't much either when the point is she isn't being touched again. It's the same as suggesting Dark Samus.
I don't feel "weird" about the bunny. I feel that adding a character for the sake of BEING a WTF character is a bad basis.

Can't think of "Decloning" Dark Pit? Just take a glance to the wide arsenal of weapon types in Awakening not present. Claws, Palms, Blades, Staffs (outside of DP's final smash). You've SEEN me make a case for how he could be decloned.
