Altough, I am consistently optimisticIt's because we somehow see negativity as smarter.
It's the same reason why optimism is usually disregarded as childish and naive.
There is no monster buried in the ground that will wake up if you ask what the meaning of life is.This conversation is too deep for Super Smash Bros.
You could ask that question anywhere.
Well, I would say that explains it, but YouTube has a downvote option and it still has a reputation for nasty comments.Because when they like something they can just press the like button.
That would be the logical explanation, but I feel like there's an underlying mentality by some that we really have no influence.Seriously?
Why would you hate your favorite food on your plate? Because you dislike it. Want it to change? Say something about it. Thats human nature
I would ask why, but the answer seems to have clicked in my mind. It's because we somehow see negativity as smarter.

I'll be frank.I read Youtube comments on the new Fire Emblem Fates trailers....
How many people THAT opposed to censorship are there?
Valuetown? The only person I've ever had a discussion with about DR censorship who was against it is a casual Trump supporter who watches Monster Musume.
And you know what they say about Trump supporters and anime.
So I watch the video and all of a sudden, nothing came of as serious as soon I saw the cat faceLook guys, let me go over something.
I'll be the first to admit that I didn't get everything I wanted. In fact, you know, you can argue I got what I didn't want. I don't care for anymore Fire Emblem reps. I thought the base roster was already pushing it. And I don't like the Bayonetta series and personally find the character annoying.
Hell, people took my initial reaction the wrong way, and I guess that turned me off to the idea as well.
But am I mad? Nope. Am I upset? No. Because others are happy. That's what matters. Smash is a game for everyone. I'm not going to complain because my idea of a roster isn't the same as someone else's. Life doesn't work that way. Life isn't fair.
Whether or not I like the choices. How can I say they aren't good additions? Corrin has cool gameplay, and Bayonetta is also interesting. While I think Bayonetta doesn't really fit in, it's fine. You know who else doesn't "fit in"? A two dimensional sprite that makes silly noices. But he's in the game.
I want my Ridley, my Ashley, my Captain Toad and my Pichus... but at the end of the day it's not about what I want. It's about how the game comes together in the end. And there's always the opportunity for next time. So there's no reason to complain about choices now.
Because we got Megaman Pacman Sonic and Mario. And isn't that what it's all about.
Change is something that has always been seen as a threat, hence the existence of the New Media Is Evil trope.I read Youtube comments on the new Fire Emblem Fates trailers....

On the other hand, the natural drive to procure genetically half-identical offspring is also quite strong.I'll be frank.
For a good amount of them, it's less about censorship and more about "how dare you not let me touch my waifu inappropriately and have her say suggestive things back." Sad as it may be, I'd bet good money on this.
I mean yeah, some may just be that opposed to censorship, but...let's be real here.
It might've been cut because Sonic and Snake were supposed to be in
Such a life for Roy and Lucas. Too bad Cloud is an exception now. Corrin is gonna be there as well and Bayo too. That frame dataThere was a problem fetching the tweet
True.
I never got laid so I'm always happy or angry, never in between.Because we haven't gotten laid in a while.
It is possible to be vocal over how good something is. Though it often delves into Undertale Fandom-like situations.I guess it just begs a new question, then:
Why are people usually only vocal when they hate something? It would be one thing if they felt like they could incite change, but that is clearly not the case in most cases.
You know this reminds me of the time Dunkey beat Sky in smashThere was a problem fetching the tweet
True.
I've 100% agreed with pretty much every bit of localization misconstrued as censorship Nintendo has done.I read Youtube comments on the new Fire Emblem Fates trailers....

I actually love youYou know this reminds me of the time Dunkey beat Sky in smash
Power to ya. I was disappointed that they got in over Wolf, but I got over it by accepting what we have and looked at the positive things such as the return of Mewtwo. It could've been so much worse if there wasn't any DLC or more character cuts such as Bowser Jr. and Pac-Man. Both Corrin and Bayonetta seem really fun to play as and have unique movesets. I mean who wouldn't want to play as a Witch or a Dragon? And as for Wolf, he will probably return unofficiallyLook guys, let me go over something.

Fixed it.. I just dont like censorship when it removes from the game and really i want FE even if its censoredThe only person I've ever had a discussion with about FE censorship who was against it is a casual Trump supporter.
And you know what they say about Trump supporters.
i love this i dont care i love this@Substitution so I browse Tumblr, find an image and immediately think about you
lol, I just like that one
Um...I'm just going to go ahead and apologize for being ridiculous and rude.
Pretty much everything I did was way out of line and I'm sorry.
I keep forgetting what I really want to do and doing the polar opposite.
I guess. . .I keep putting my own perceived happiness first when that's just selfish, and then I lash out because I don't understand the way other people think.
Wow that voice though...
It uses minimize.
I'm compelled to ask what you did that made you feel so bad.I'm just going to go ahead and apologize for being ridiculous and rude.

I'm opposed to most of the decisions NoA has been doing as of lately, and feel they need new higher ups. They've been constantly showing their asses ever since they fired the employee for going on a podcast.I'll be frank.

Any examples?I'm opposed to most of the decisions NoA has been doing as of lately, and feel they need new higher ups. They've been constantly showing their ***** ever since they fired the employee for going on a podcast.
Because they "censored" the game?I'm opposed to most of the decisions NoA has been doing as of lately, and feel they need new higher ups. They've been constantly showing their ***** ever since they fired the employee for going on a podcast.
Wow, Chandelure's voice is nothing like I expected. It's so high-pitched. Kind of cute in a way.
It uses minimize.
You do realize they fired an employee, not for going into a podcast, but for breaking a NDA, right?I'm opposed to most of the decisions NoA has been doing as of lately, and feel they need new higher ups. They've been constantly showing their ***** ever since they fired the employee for going on a podcast.
LOL, Sky will never live this down will he? XDYou know this reminds me of the time Dunkey beat Sky in smash
Well firing the employee.Any examples?
Not entirely sure what you mean.
Implying they need to give us a replacement?Well firing the employee.
Not giving us Mother 3, as its "too risky" when its been translated by fans for years, and those same translators have offered their services for free.
The Fates censorship is a big part, not because of the content removed, but the lack of a replacement.
The Fates Special Edition is a huge middle finger, as it sold out the day it went up, and scapers are charging between $250-300 for the title online, with no sign of restocks.
Also Bayonetta 2 was running pretty high. It did get a restock, but now it lacks Bayonetta 1 for no reason, which gives scalpers with the original release reason to overprice it.
Amiibos are starting to get easier to find, but the pacing is terrible. It feels like they are releasing way too many too quickly, and requiring ownership of newer amiibos to unlock content in newer releases. This isn't so much because of NOA, yet I feel they do have a say when to release certain amiibos, as Japan usually gets them earlier. Also, WHY does NOA choose to go with 3 pack amiibos and no alternatives?! This is so dumb, as I want KK Slider and not Cyrus and Reese, yet they force us to buy all three, while the rest of the world can get them separate.
