In the end what I think matters is uniqueness and importance.

Junes had no hatebase from what I saw.
And Corrin's main reasoning for the hate is just in series representation; not negative feelings about the identity of the character.
The closest thing is because HE IS SOMEONE DESIGNED TO BE HATED.

90% of the time it's worse though.
Also don't play racing games while drunk.

Wow we're pretty lax with that stuff here.

But I have not. I am a pioneer for life.

I know people who have though. A couple of years ago, my brother and his friends tried playing Sonic Unleashed (Xbox 360) while intoxicated. It made them much worse at the game though.

They wasted over 60 of my lives in the game (they played my save file, lol) on the final boss.

Nowadays people don't seem to hate him as much (Other than the fact that he's now confirmed to be Bowser's one and only son whilst the Koopalings are confirmed to be only his minions). From what I've seen at least.....

Honestly, before Sm4sh, I had SOME interest in Bowser Jr., as long it didn't involve Shadow Mario.

But I absolutely LOVE how he was handled in the end. Not only did he had a bad*** Clown Car mechanic/moveset but making his alts the Koopalings only sweetened the deal.

Being in Smash is what made people like him more.

He's in Smash so like a lot of characters, people automatically like him and respect him more. He also had a cool trailer so that helped.

Unfortunately the opposite happened for Rosalina.

People didn't seriously hate DHD.

It was like saying how you hate that one boss you couldn't beat as a kid.

It's not serious hate for the character or anything it's just a joking kind of "hate".

Is it really that rare? Seems pretty common honestly. Either way, I hardly saw anyone clamouring for Bowser Jr. to be in anything, no matter where I look.
