Should I maybe rewrite certain things again... these are all pretty fun to read.

- Lucina was genuinely upset for Chrom not being "viable" to Smash after getting defeated by Falcon- even worse being that she was chosen over him. She begged Master Hand to give Chrom another chance. Master Hand protested on due being unimpressed but noticed that Lucina wasn't willing to take part in the tournament if it meant leaving her father behind, he was left pretty conflicted.

After noticing Robin and Lucina help Chrom was recover after the Arena Ferox-battle, he witnessed something he hadn't before: the loyal and compassionate bonds between the three, and how it ultimately lend the way to the result of the battle - Lucina fighting for Chrom, Robin helping Lucina and Chrom giving a major support for Robin, before and now.

At the end it was agreed that Chrom would constitute the main part for Robin's Final Smash to represent this, and was sent to the same apartment where Mega Man Legends and the Nooks live.

- Lucina meets her father regularly and tries to let him sneak in to the Mansion now and then when none's watching. The Smashers weren't too against this after finding out, but state that the Smash Mansion is still a residence strictly for the fighters per Master Hand's norms, and letting rumors about other people being there would open "floodgates". The Smashers now arrange the possible times for Lucina to bring Chrom over together with her.

- Pit wasn't too high on Palutena joining in because it meant that A - he'd potentially be teased or even punished out of sheer competitive spite from Palutena if gaining victory on her, B - Palutena might embarrass him in front of the audience or the Smashers in somewhat common basis. Pit's competitive nature took bit of a step-back due this, and he would constantly hold back if he was dueling with Palutena. Not to mention how him being whisked off from the battlefield during duel with Link was a quite a moment killer.

The goddess didn't notice it instantly but after finding Pit being downbeat when it came to her, she felt kind of sad too. She only wanted to join in to the tournament to truly fight for her own success and prove to be best (kind of doing something she wanted to do for a long time), but she wasn't the type to show, or spread bad sportmanship. Not to mention she was happy to be around with Pit in more light-hearted and friendly competitive setting, so him not being his usual self to her there didn't feel right.
Both talked up about it, and came to promising both give it their all to see how both stack up when not being a goddess and a bodyguard servant with an army in his disposal. (At least Palutena does want to see how much Pit has grown while the angel boy gets to go all out on Palutena and feel kind of liberated as he knows it's all part of a friendly, or competitive match.)

Headcanon Time. "Holy giant wall of text, Batman!" Just a warning. Hold onto your hats, folks...

  • The Super Smash Bros. Universe is just a game. Not in the sense of a video game, but it's just the figment of a child's imagination. An unnamed child who, presumably, has poor social skills. Regardless, the child has a wild imagination, and would rather shut him/herself inside of their room all day and play by themselves. One day, the child is given a set of twelve toys, all based on Nintendo characters. The child recognizes them, but doesn't care that they aren't "meant" to coexist in the same universe. And it would be neat to make them fight. In some spectacular, ridiculous locations that need to be meticulously arranged. This is all represented at the opening of Smash 64, with the toys and building blocks being plucked from the toy chest. The toys, the trophies, never actually come to life. They're just fighters because the child sees them as such. And thus, the stage is set. Super Smash Bros., the "game" being played by the child, has begun.
  • The Master Hand represents the child's creative thought process. Meticulous and calculating, making sure everything is just so. Every last detail is precisely accurate, and has purpose. That's why the stages are so incredibly rich and complex. The Master Hand is a manifestation of the child's desire to create a unique, living and breathing world of their own design. Perhaps because he'she doesn't fit in well with the real one. The fighters, of course, are "brought to life" by the Master Hand. Determined to validate their own existence, they rebel against their creator. The Master Hand's rage of being challenged by the fighters represents the child's anger of confronting the real world. That's why Final Destination constantly shifts between fantastical and realistic environments. When defeated, the Master Hand disappears in a bright flash of light. The fighter, unwittingly, is reduced to a trophy. Forced to confront reality, the child's game has ended. The sound of the door closing at the end of Smash 64's 1-P Game punctuates this perfectly, I think.
  • The Crazy Hand represents the child's potential for destruction. When a creation doesn't meet his/her criteria, it has to go. Torn down to nothing. Radical and uninhibited, the Crazy Hand is what happens when the child loses control. This, of course, could result in a big "mess" to be cleaned up, and rebuilt later. The Master Hand picks up the slack for this. The Crazy Hand is enraged by being challenged by fighters because it fears being restrained, shackled, and unable to vent its incredible power. The child may feel this way in the real world and, again, doesn't want to confront it.
  • Each new installment in the Smash series represents a change for the child. New trophies and set pieces are acquired. That's why some characters and stages return, and some don't. The child just can't let go of certain toys. The original twelve trophies, clearly, mean the most to him/her. Others, however, are disposable. Some trophies don't return because the child simply grew tired of them (Dr. Mario, Mewtwo) or replaced them with someone new (Young Link -> Toon Link, Roy -> Ike).
  • The SSE is canon. The Subspace Army represents the fears and nightmares of the child. Fears of growing up. That's why the Subspace Army is so dark, gritty, and realistic in comparison to the crazy, vibrant, and imaginative environs and denizens of Nintendo's multiverse. The Subspace Bombs, throughout the story, are the primary weapons of the villains in their quest for conquest. They tick down before exploding, just as time ticks away at the child's youth. His/her fate seems inevitable. Tabuu is what the child fears he/she will become: a lonely, selfish,power hungry "grown up" who only wants to consume more. That's why Tabuu resembles a thin, emaciated old man. Starving. Wanting more and more until there's nothing left. In the child's nightmares, it's the world itself. In reality, this could represent anything; money, resources, power. Perhaps this fear comes from a parent? Regardless, Tabuu shackles the Master Hand, stifling the child's creativity. Another fear. But the trophies, the heroes of the child's dream, save the world. Innocence has won, and the nightmare ends. The child doesn't have to grow up for a long time, and when he/she does, they won't be like Tabuu.
Am I reading too deeply into this? Probably. I have more for the characters themselves, but I wanted to mention my views on the series itself first.
Wow. This is like 1,000 times more creative than my Mean Girls summary.

I once read this from a fanfic a while back, and it was too good that I just accepted it as headcanon. It sums up the general idea of Smash Bros. and encompasses 64, Melee, and Brawl. It's really long, so I put it in the spoiler tab.

Twelve heroes appeared in the foyer of a great hall, all of them summoned from far off lands. Two creatures called Pokémon from a land of battle and adventure. A child from a land of psychic horrors. A hero from a land of fantasy. A bounty hunter from a universe of racing and intrigue, and another from one of endless war and death. A mercenary pilot from a system locked in combat. A dinosaur and an ape from peaceful islands, and a puffy pink creature from a land of dreams. Lastly, two simple plumbers from a kingdom ruled by a beautiful princess and constantly besieged by powerful enemies.

They had all been invited to join a tournament, though the method of invitation was certainly an unorthodox one. Great comets had screamed out of the sky and landed near them. Only when they managed to translate the strange runes upon the invitations were they allowed to open a portal to Smashworld. And once there, they were met by the Master Hand: A massive, ethereal hand, bigger than all of them put together.

The Master Hand introduced himself as the ‘Spirit of Creativity and Imagination,’ and he lived up to his name. The spirit seemed capable of conjuring anything from his fingertips. He claimed that he had a hand in creating all their worlds, and that he’d been watching all of them, and many more worlds, for eons on end. He said that he wished to see which of his creations was the most powerful of all, and that he would grant the most powerful of them a single wish, should they fight and win in his first ever ‘Super Smash Brothers’ tournament.

The purpose of the tournament was not merely to fight, however, as the Master Hand encouraged that all of them get to know each other and forge friendships with one another.

It was difficult to create friendships with those you were ordered to fight, but it was soon revealed that it was incredibly difficult to be hurt in the Smashworld, and downright impossible to be killed. The violence soon came to be treated as a mere sport; a sparring match between friends.

The tournament lasted for eight long months, and in that time, the twelve of them ended up forging friendships of some form or another. At the very least, they all grew to respect one another, and all of them became better fighters, and arguably better people because of it. Eventually, though, the tournament began to draw to a close.

Eventually, one fighter won the tournament, and the fabled prize that the Master Hand offered: one wish from the spirit of creation and imagination himself. The multiverse was in his hands. Whatever he wished for could shape the destinies of countless realities and the fates of all beings within. The winner was none other than Kirby of Dreamland, and that wish was something simple... A slice of strawberry shortcake.

The Master Hand was contented with his work in the previous tournament. The most powerful of his creations had been chosen and had gotten his wish. However, not all was at peace in the Master Hand’s world.

The Master Hand’s brother, the Crazy Hand, took every chance he could to provoke and prod at his sibling. The Crazy Hand, the ultimate spirit of Destruction and Ruin, proposed that the Master Hand had not found the most powerful of all of his creations. For while he may have found the most powerful champion of good, the Crazy Hand proposed that evil was far more powerful a force. After all what good is creation when anything that is created can be destroyed in an instant? What good is it to promote peace and the creation and preservation of life and civilization, when but a single horseshoe nail could bring it all tumbling down?

Indeed, the Crazy Hand made an interesting case. Which was the more powerful force? Good or Evil? Creation or Destruction? The question troubled the Master Hand’s mind, and the Crazy Hand proposed that he host another tournament to put it to the test. Eventually, the Master Hand agreed, and summoned up even more champions from even more worlds. Most of them good, but a number of them evil.

Bowser, the King of the Koopas, was summoned; A powerful sorcerer and kidnapper. Ganondorf, the king of thieves and wielder of the Triforce of Power too was called; A dark wizard of the cruelest intentions and scourge of the land of Hyrule. And Mewtwo, the world’s most powerful pokémon bred and tested upon in a cloning lab; The most powerful psychic anyone had ever seen and hateful of all human life.

The tournament began anew, but this time there was an air of tension over the whole thing. The heroes were forced to work together to keep these three villains from ever obtaining the Master Hand’s prize.

Mewtwo watched as all of the creatures he fought against forged bonds and friendships that he had never known. Mewtwo’s thoughts were troubled as he watched these humans laughing, dancing, sparring, and living together in friendship and harmony. It was all so different from Mewtwo’s experience with humanity. The humans that Mewtwo had known and hated had been cold, analytical, and cruel, prodding him with needles and shocking him with electrodes just to test his limits. The humans Mewtwo had destroyed were different from these people. Mewtwo considered this. If he were to destroy humanity with his wish, would he be destroying innocents the way his humans had nearly destroyed him when he was once innocent? Would he be any better than his tormentors?

Mewtwo still fought with every ounce of his being in the tournament, and eventually won. The Crazy Hand gloated over his brother. The Master Hand seemed crestfallen as he offered Mewtwo his wish.

It was tempting for Mewtwo to wish for the destruction of humanity. The destruction of humanity in all universes. But as he looked over the faces of those who had fought him, he felt too conflicted to wish for such a thing. Instead, he looked at the Master Hand and wished for one thing.

“Understanding”

That was all he said. Mewtwo wished to ‘understand.’

The Master Hand and the Crazy Hand both were surprised. The Master Hand granted the wish.

None of the fighters in the tournament ever found out exactly what happened. All they knew was they looked into Mewtwo’s eyes as the wish was granted then and there and they saw something different. Mewtwo looked as if some great puzzle had finally been solved. His posture was more relaxed and his telepathic voice softer.

He stood there, reveling in his epiphany for a few moments, before turning to the Crazy Hand and speaking only four words.

“You are a fool.”

The Crazy Hand cried out in rage. Somehow, even in his victory, he had met with defeat. In his rage, he attacked all of the fighters, even the ones he had summoned to fight for him.

All of the champions were forced to fight the most powerful foe they’d ever faced: The Spirit of Destruction himself. In the end though, they succeeded in defeating him against all odds. Mewtwo struck the final blow, sending the Crazy Hand hurtling into the void of the Final Destination to lick his wounds. And so, the fighters were all sent home, and when the call came out once more, Mewtwo did not join them.

Once again, the champions were summoned, in even greater number this time. However, this time there was no test awaiting them. The Master Hand said nothing about a test between good and evil or a test to see who was the strongest among them. Instead, they were merely told to fight.

Behind the backs of the heroes though, the Master Hand was making pacts with the nefarious Ganondorf, Bowser, Ridley, and Wario. He claimed that although Mewtwo eventually relented and claimed that Good was more powerful than Evil, he was still technically aligned with Evil when he actually won the tournament. Therefore, whatever he said afterward must have been wrong. The Master Hand claimed to have had an epiphany and proposed an alliance with the villains. He claimed that he would make all of them the rulers and gods of their own worlds if they agreed to help him destroy those who were obviously inferior: the champions of Good.

For seven months, the tournament was waged. The heroes all eventually became complacent as the villains were supposedly all eliminated from the tournament early on in the games. However, that merely allowed those who followed Evil to gather together in a mysterious realm called Subspace uninterrupted by the heroes. There, they constructed weapons, armies, and entire cities, all with the purpose of destroying that which was good with the help of an enslaved army of robots called “R.O.B.s” or “Robotic Operating Buddies.”

And when they struck, none of the heroes were prepared. The R.O.B.s were made to sacrifice themselves to detonate bombs that absorbed the power and energy of the Smashworld and powered the subspace engines that they would use to destroy the heroes. The heroes attempted to fight back, but in all the confusion ended up fighting each other as much as they ended up fighting their aggressors.

Eventually, the heroes managed to get themselves together and coordinate to destroy the R.O.B. army and the bomb factory, defeat Wario, and seemingly thwart the plans of the evildoers. Ridley was beaten twice, and the heroes gathered together to invade Subspace and thwart the villains. Only Ganondorf, Bowser and the Master Hand remained. Ganondorf attempted to pin the blame of their imminent failure on Bowser to save face with the Master Hand and stabbed Bowser in the back. It was then revealed, however, that for the Master Hand, everything was going according to plan.

For you see, the Master Hand was not actually the Master Hand that the fighters knew. The Master Hand was being controlled by a villainous lord of emptiness. A vile creature known as Tabuu: Lord of the Space between Spaces.

Tabuu discovered the Smashworld when the Crazy Hand was defeated by Mewtwo. When such a powerful entity was broken, it caused a rift to open in space and time and alert Tabuu to the existence of the Smashworld. For Tabuu was obsessed with expanding subspace and consuming all worlds to become the ultimate being, but his imprisonment in the space between spaces made that impossible. The Smashworld, being by nature an amalgam of many worlds’ energies mashed together, was a perfect way to worm his influence into many worlds at the same time and eventually give him the strength to consume all worlds. But he was too weak to do it on his own, so he slowly and carefully weakened the Master Hand from the safety of Subspace with his corruptive influence. The Master Hand was already in a sorry state from his fight with his brother and eventually he managed to break the spirit of creation. From there, he immediately summoned the means to construct an army that would absorb the Smashworld into Subspace and thus grant him the energies of the world and its heroes, making him more powerful than ever.

Tabuu revealed to Ganondorf that he intended for the heroes to catch on and reach his lair. That way, he could absorb their powerful energies along with the energies of the world itself. He had played Ganondorf, Bowser, and Wario for fools. The only one who had known about Tabuu was Ridley, who sided with him when Tabuu promised to make him his highest general. Tabuu set everybody up and revealed that he fully intended to betray Ganondorf, then stole his energy and left him for dead. The weakened Master Hand attempted to fight back, but Tabuu swiftly defeated him and absorbed his energy as well. He then went on to do the same to the heroes and with that, he managed to absorb the whole of the Smashworld.

He would have gone on to absorb all of the heroes’ homeworlds and eventually the entire multiverse, but after absorbing so much energy and with his foes seemingly defeated, he decided he could spare time to rest. It was merely serendipity that the heroes managed to ever fight back. Kirby, the most powerful fighter from the first tournament, was saved by a strange artifact he had taken from his on-again-off-again nemesis, and proceeded to restore every other champion. The champions united and managed to fight through the mangled Smashworld that now floated about in subspace and confront Tabuu.

They reached him too late, however, as Tabuu ripped holes into every world in the multiverse. It was only by luck that Tabuu was startled out of his feast by a speedster from one of the universes he ripped into, and in his confusion, the other fighters managed to take him down. The last of the R.O.B.s managed to strike the final blow, angered at the loss of his race through Tabuu’s manipulations.

With Tabuu destroyed, the Smashworld was set right once again and Tabuu’s influence throughout the multiverse was severed. The Master Hand was restored and, though the tournament was ultimately a farce, he offered a wish to the last R.O.B. for his aid in defeating Tabuu. R.O.B. wished for the restoration of his race and the R.O.B.s went on to return to their pacifistic ways of aiding and serving those who are in need.

And so, the fighters were all sent home, having saved the multiverse itself from being destroyed by Tabuu and the armies of Subspace...

And so, a new story will be forged with the new game. But I have some ideas on how their relationships with other characters are like.

:4link: has a friendly rivalry with :4myfriends: and the two spar often.

:4lucina: has feelings of animosity toward :4falcon: because he defeated Chrom in battle and is why Chrom is absent from Smash 4. Lucina will stop at nothing to see Captain Falcon eliminated from the tournament.

:4fox: and :4samus: have a mutual respect for one another and have a form of kinship due to being in similar situations of losing family.

:4kirby: thinks of :rosalina: as something similar to a mother figure and gets along well with the Lumas.

:4robinm: and :4robinf: are two different Robins from different Outrealms. Both found a loophole so they can still get help from Chrom.

My headcanons for smash are more of a "after hours" sort of deal.
I enjoy putting all of these varied characters into social situations with one another.

~~~~~~~
:4link: is a total loner because he can't effectively communicate with the other fighters.
His best bud is :4greninja:, because he doesn't mind sitting in silence with someone, and through their silence they've formed a sort of brotherly bond.
~~~~~~~

:4falcon:,:4samus:,:4littlemac:, and :4myfriends: are all drinking buddies and spend their afternoons chillin at:4falcon:'s tavern "Show Me Your Booze", playing billards and shooting the **** after a brutal day of fighting.
They will occasionally be joined by :4mario:,:4dedede:,:4robinm:,:4greninja:,:4link:,:4fox:, or:4bowser:.
Although :4greninja: only ever orders water, and :4link: only ever orders milk.
:4falcon: scoffs at them every time.

~~~~~~~
:4kirby: and :4pacman: often have eating contests.
There is never a winner and usually a few injuries will befall the bystanders if the two combatants get heated.
~~~~~~~
:4bowser: and :4charizard: often have fire breathing contests.
There is never a winner and a few injuries will always befall the bystanders if the two combatants get heated.

~~~~~~~
:4lucina:,:4zelda:,:4pit:,:4wiifit:, and :4peach: have seemingly overnight formed some sort of clique.
:4littlemac: and :4myfriends: have a running joke that :4pit: is the playboy of the smash tourney.
~~~~~~~
:4mario: becomes quite scary when people refer to him as a plumber.

~~~~~~~
:rosalina: and :4palutena: have an intense rivalry and display unbelievable amounts of jealousy towards each other.
Although the rest of the cast knows the two of them both like each other and are just a bit too proud of their status.
~~~~~~~

:4diddy:,:4kirby:,:4megaman:,:4pikachu:,:4villager:,:4pacman:, and :4yoshi: are usually found running about and playing games to unwind after each day.
:4sonic: occasionally joins in, but only on games of tag because he always wins and he's a cheap little **** like that.

Kinda goes against his actual personality. From the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing biogaraphy for Sonic:

Sonic is the world's fastest hedgehog, capable of running at the speed of sound (768 mph). His other abilities include a “Spin Attack”, a “Spin Dash” and his “Super Sonic” transformation which makes him indestructible and gives him the gift of run-flight. Sonic is not an expert swimmer, but is fearless – even of Dr. Eggman. Alongside his best friend Tails, Sonic runs around the world stopping Dr. Eggman's schemes. He drives the Speed Star – a car built by his friend Tails – it helps to make a fair race as no one can beat Sonic on foot.
He's perfectly willing to make things fair for people, and he generally hates cheaters.

Marth is the only Smasher that doesn't speak the same language as the others (he speaks Japanese). However, he manages to learn some English from Pit, Ike, Lucina and Robin.

Sometimes some naughty books can be found among Robin (male only)'s tomes collection. :troll: and of course he burns it if anyone else finds it, just like a comic I found with him and Lucina. (I apologize if this is inappropriate.)

Here's mine (don't know if someone already put some of these up already)

-Peach sets up tea parties and invites all the other ladies. On some occasions, Ike, Marth, DK, Mario, Pikachu, or Toon Link join them.

-Palutena admires Link and Captain Falcon for their strength and once considered them to fight alongside Pit during battles. (The Palutena trailer tells all...so does Captain Falcon's pictures on the website)

- Wii Fit Trainer spars with Little Mac.

- Whenever Villager sets pitfalls out of battle, Robin is the only one to notice and avoid them.

-Lucina tries to avoid Marth often as best as she can.

So, I'm here to reiterate and reinvent some of my own (and some other people's...) headcanons. If you see a modified version of your headcanon here, then let me tell you that imitation is the greatest compliment!

- Zelda/Sheik: While this was one character in the past, as of now we have two separate people. Sheik is a different "Zelda" from the magic-wielding dress-wearer. Sheik is a princess dethroned and trained in the ways of the Sheikah (aka, Ocarina of Time Zelda). And yes, she's still a she. (that's just fact)

- Samus/ZSS: This is the same character, obviously, but whenever ZSS is in play, "Samus" is actually just her suit running on AI. (think Iron-Man 3)

- Link/Toon Link: In the Brawl days, TL looked up to and admired Link, considering him a mentor. Link, however, was oblivious to this. Over time, TL considered Link's seeming ignorance of his existence a rejection and now is back with an intense rivalry in mind. However, Link remains oblivious, and TL creates hilarious hijinks while trying to "get" Link.

- There is a "Fitness Club" of sorts, basically comprised of Smashers who enjoy training together. They're slit up male/female, both clubs led by the respective WFT (who are twin siblings). Regulars in the male WFT's club include Little Mac (that guy who's there before the trainer), DK (the showoff body builder), Diddy Kong (scrawny guy there for approval), Ike (the intimidating guy who is actually really nice and helpful), Link (the quiet one with the smile), Marth (just for the cardio), and Pit (reluctantly there by command of Palutena). Toon Link shows up whenever he doesn't oversleep, and King Dedede wanders in once in a while, in order to peek at the female club. Speaking of which, the female WFT's club consists of ZSS, Sheik, Peach (imagine: pink spandex, sweatbands, and legwarmers), and Lucina.

- Peach's Tea Parties: These are infamous in the Smash world. For one, because they are very exclusive. All the ladies are automatically invited (including Nana, F. Robin, and both F. Villagers), and Kirby, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff are also givens. Yoshis of all colors are welcome, though only Pink and Yellow habitually show up. Mr. Game&Watch, Pit, and Marth are also honorary invitees. The remaining male fighters are insatiably curious about what goes on in these parties, particularly Bowser, King Dedede, and oddly Pac-Man. Their curiosity turns to obsession, causing them to recruit many of the other males in their crusade to infiltrate the tea parties. They are always foiled, showing up too late to only find the partiers cleaning up an inexplicably large mess. Recently, they've enticed Robin to aid them in their attempts (Robin viewing the parties as a tactical game opportunity), but F. Robin teams up with the F. Villagers in setting up traps and such. What the men don't know is that the parties start off perfectly fine, but to Peach's chagrin they always end in a giant (though friendly) brawl. Now, they've evolved beyond tea parties into full-blown tournaments. Also, Peach doesn't intentionally leave out the men, but it's now become a fun side-betting-game among the partiers as to how horribly the men will fail in their attempts to get into the party.

I have more, but the tea parties took too much time and effort to type up. ^__^

The third party characters are treated as outcasts by the Nintendo fighters.
Classic Mode is the quest for the character to become apart of the World of Trophies.
Crazy Hand is Master Hand's annoying little brother.

I know a lot of fanfics depict the Smashers living in a mansion or something, but I'm thinking more along the lines of a swanky apartment complex in a big city. Almost like a five-star hotel, but they don't have to pay for every night they're staying.

Which also -- Greninja once saved the apartment complex from burning down. All by himself.

(I have no idea where I'm coming from with this. Just go with it.)

I've always thought Sonic and Pit would be adorkable bros behind the scenes. And I noticed that they both have artwork in a very similar pose that makes this even cuter to imagine:

I've always thought Sonic and Pit would be adorkable bros behind the scenes. And I noticed that they both have artwork in a very similar pose that makes this even cuter to imagine:

I want to see Pit in modern day clothing. With a hoodie or something.

Sorry if any of these sound familiar.

- :4link:, :4luigi:, and :4villager: Are all really good friends. Link even invites the other two along when he hangs out with some of the others. :4mario: Doesn't know how to thank them for befriending his brother.

- The Smashers are all Potterheads. Even the villains.
- The Smashers all know who the main Lords of Fire Emblem: Awakening married. However, :4robinm: And :4lucina: Troll them whenever they are asked what the other pairings are.

- Shockingly, :4dedede:And :4bowser: Willingly signed up for :4wiifit: Yoga class. It shocked everyone else too.

- :4zelda:And :4pit: run an archery class.

- :4zss: was ready to duel :4palutena: if she took advantage of :4pit:. However, they ended up becoming pretty good friends.

- :4myfriends: met :4lucina: before :4marth: and thus had a video camera ready when they met. He's keeping it for blackmail material.

There's an ongoing power struggle going on behind the scenes in Smash. Every franchise looks out only for itself and is constantly trying to gain more representation.

Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon are the big three obviously. They hold the most power and are constantly trying to one-up each other.

Fire Emblem and Earthbound used to be rivals. Now that :4robinm: and :4lucina: are in, FE is ready to challenge the Big 3 and Earthbound is falling out of favor.

Kid Icarus, despite having joined in late and having only two fighters :4pit: :4palutena:, is doing surprisingly well.

Kirby's Franchise is a neutral force that doesn't get involved. Star Fox acts as mercenaries for the others, same wtih :4samus:.

The smaller franchises band together, biding their time. the third party franchises as well.

...

... what can I say, I love political thrillers.

All the trailers seen so far represent a journey.

Villager's trailer, the very first newcomer trailer shown, represents the start of the journey, with the Villager getting an invite to the Smash Bros. tournament and excitedly running off, followed by the start of Mega Man's journey with his own trailer.

The "middle" of the journey is evident in Rosalina's, Little Mac's, Greninja's, Palutena's and Pac-Man's trailers. The Robin trailer signifies that the journey is nearing its end, and I have a feeling the last few trailers (probably for a RH rep + Xenoblade rep(s)) will signify the journey's end (especially if "Dreams of Our Generation" plays in the RH trailer), and in the case of the Xenoblade character trailer, a promise of a hopeful future.

I have a script/plan for a Xenoblade character reveal trailer, I posted it in page one of my Fiora support thread.

The games are a mix of Toy Story and childhood imagination, except it's the fighters that are imagining things. The Master Hand is just a kid playing with his toys, but the toys think these are great battles to the death on the battlefields of various worlds, but really they're just on a desk of a child's bedroom, like the intro to the first game. Crazy Hand is another kid who sometimes comes round to play. The entire Subspace Emissary plot was actually just their father (Tabuu) finding out that his kids are playing with his toy collection, so he tries to reseal them in their original boxes (turning them into trophies in the eyes of the Smashers).

The Villager isn't aware that he's fighting other people. In his eyes, he's just playing and dancing. Every time he throws a deadly weapon at an opponent, he thinks he's giving a present to a neighbour. Think Pyro from Team Fortress 2.

Marth only speaks Japanese, and relies on Ike as his interpreter for everyone else.

I just found this thread, and I must say, I really like your head cannon between Sonic and Rosalina. I always found it odd Sonic of all characters has an interest in literature, but I like it. It gives more depth to the character. But, when Sonic's not hanging around Rosalina, I always imagined Sonic as sort of a prankster, particular towards Mario and some of the older(in terms of actual age) characters. I can also see Meta Knight and Greninja being rivals, and R.O.B being jealous of Mega Man, and his fancy sleek design.

PlayStation All-Stars and Smash takes place in the same universe. Shadow Bugs and All-Star Power might even be a similar substance.

The existence of the Fighting Polygon Team in both games is what makes me think this the most, along with little things like Snake/Raiden, and the fact that the last stages take place in a very Subspace-like area.

It's Mario who writes fanfiction about his series (whether it's yaoi or not is anyone's guess) and I can prove it too! See, at the end of Galaxy 1, when the universe was rebuilding itself and Mario was in that weird limbo with Giant Rosalina and the crying Luma babies, he began imagining a fanfic in which all of them were turned into babies. This included himself, his brother, the two princesses, Rosie, DK, etc, etc. However, since he was outside the universe, those thoughts were turned into reality as Rosie was rebuilding the universe with her thoughts. Ergo, when reality was restored, the baby versions of the cast became their own separate entities, explaining why Baby Rosalina exist when looking little like she did in the storybook: it was from Mario's image! (How Bowser Jr. and the Mario Party Koopa Kids relate to this is also anyone's guess.)

This message was brought to you by a plot point from a certain book written by Orson Scott Card.
Makes sense.

Master and Crazy Hand are Polygon Man's hands, and Polygon Man is their head.

Still fits with them being separate beings. Master Hand is the good half, looking for a worthy opponent and trying to keep balance. Crazy Hand is the neutral one, acting on pure instinct. Polygon Man is the evil half, working only for his own entertainment with no regard for those he affects.

I've always assumed, and Smash Bros. seems to be with me on this one, that Princess Peach never seems to genuinely be aware of where she is.

Massive explosions? What a lovely day for a stroll!

Ninja fight right in front of me? Tea is ready!

The streets of Silent Hill? Let's make snow angels!

-Female Robin is married to Chrom, hence making Lucina her daughter. She loves showing the other female Smashers Lucina's baby photos.
-Male Robin has tons of blackmail material on the other Smashers.
-Nobody can beat Male Robin at chess. Only Female Robin ties with him.
-Marth considers Lucina to be a younger sister, and looks out for her.
-Marth is subtly protective of Ike, Roy, the Robin's, and Lucina. It extends to Chrom, too.

I don't think they had cameras back then.

Midna's a complete prankster and loves to scare Luigi at night.

Bowser was never taken too seriously as a fighter due to his low standing on the tiers, but now thanks to WFT's mandatory yoga classes, he's ready to wipe the floor with Mario's behind!

The Smash Run area is a huge training ground built by both the Hands just in case Tabuu should return. (this is why there are SSE enemies)

For reasons unknown, Lucario gets along well with Kirby.

Also:
There's an ongoing power struggle going on behind the scenes in Smash. Every franchise looks out only for itself and is constantly trying to gain more representation.
This is the reason DK and Diddy aren't too friendly with the Fire Emblem characters. They're both trying to get Dixie Kong to join.

Yoshi's kinda chill about the whole thing because he's rides on Mario's coattails.

:4littlemac: and :4samus: don't like each other.
:4megaman: thinks :4samus: is a robot.
