Super Smash Bros Headcanons

The Pokémon that come out of Poké Balls are all owned by the Pokémon Trainer. However, he doesn't use them in battle because they all only know one move each.

I think I have a few (they are crappy ones I may add)....

• They're where once Three original Miis. Anyone others Mii created is considered altered clone of these three Miis, and their DNA are link back to these three. This is why when you beat classic or all-star mode and get the Mii's trophies, no matter How bizarre a Mii looks, the trophy will always show the original Mii fighters.

• Toon link, Ness and the (default) Villager are considered friends.

• Behind the scenes, Viridi is secretly recruiting some of the Smash fighters for the Forces of Nature. These characters include Lucario, Dark Pit (already did), Link (and possibly Toon Link) , Yoshi, Charizard, and trying to make Rosalina side with her to join her forces (this is because Viridi finds her as a threat to the FON).

-All newcomers are trained prior to the tournament. They're taught how to fight in the Smash style, as well as face up against experienced veterans. Only a small percentage of newcomers are actually chosen to participate in the Smash tournament. To participate in the Smash tournament, a newcomer must prove him/herself in battle against an experienced veteran, and tie/beat them. This is why in all newcomer trailers you see newcomers beating up veterans. There is a committee of veterans that decide the newcomer picks, but ultimately Master Hand and Crazy Hand have final say. (Crazy Hand is the reason we have Mr.Game&Watch, R.O.B., Wii Fit Trainer, and Duck Hunt Dog)

-, , , and train newcomers during newcomer training. Roy teaches Swordsmen, Lucas teaches Magic users, Wolf teaches Futuristic/Blaster users, and Ice Climbers train the misc. characters.

- and understand each other on a deep level. They're both cute and underestimated due to that fact. So, they work together to beat the **** out of anyone who underestimates them. Don't even get started on , she's insane.

- has been off on a long training journey after Melee. Being one of the weakest characters in Melee was an embarrassment for him, and he's been training ever since to make sure he'll be stronger next time. The reason he wasn't in Brawl was because his training took too long and he missed the cut. A similar thing happened this time around, but Master Hand and Crazy Hand were convinced to add him as the first late applicant. Of course, it takes time to to catch a late applicant up to speed, hence why Mewtwo is entering the tournament so late.

My head canon is that kirby has a crush on jiggly puff, and that's wear she got here flower alt from. (That was inspired by brawl in the family) Samus and Capt. F are dating, and go on missions together. Megaman and Pit are good friends, and Pit finds Megaman to be an inspiration. Link and Mario have a fierce, yet respectful rivalry and team up quite often. Nearly every girl has a sort of crush on Link.

Lucina is androgynous and considers her gender to be incidental to her overall persona. She concerns herself with defending her people and ensuring peace is maintained in the world, rather than considering whether she is suitably feminine enough. Her adventures in the ruined future ensured that this sense of latent gender uncertainty was forced to be suppressed and disregarded in favour of training to fight for her homeland. The aftermath of this is that she feels that she has no connection to her biological sex and, indeed, feels equally comfortable being addressed with masculine references. She sometimes adopts her "Marth" persona to experiment with living as a boy. She is demisexual, preferring to wait until she meets the right person and is able to devote herself to them fully before entering an intimate relationship.

Palutena, as a pseudo Greco-Roman deity, is pansexual and admires the beauty in all things. She remains celibate, though, as her duties as the Goddess of Light precede her moral urges.

Pit is asexual, having not yet developed an interest in physical intimacy due to his youthful age. As with Palutena, his duties come first, meaning he has little to no time for exploring his sexuality. Phosphora is well aware of this fact and relishes teasing him to this end. Pit, for his part, remains firmly confused and unclear as to the intent behind her flirtatious advances.

Dark Pit is aromantic and just doesn't care about intimacy in any form. Viridi is admittedly a little smitten with him, but withholds her affections owing to the nature of their professional relationship and out of deference to his own sentiments. This manifests itself as classic tsundere teasing and insults. Dark Pit grudgingly puts up with her nonsense because his one true love is finding and dueling with Pit.

Both Robins have different approaches to physical intimacy: male Robin is romantic and a little shy, preferring to present himself as an amorous knight in shining armour, whilst nevertheless appealing to others more so because of his earnest personality and tender affections; female Robin is more vivacious and enjoys the thrill of being pursued, though she is utterly devoted to her partner and would brave any obstacle to make them happy and content.

Samus is asexual and does not express interest in physical intimacy. Her relationship with the late Adam Malkovich was strictly platonic, though his loss took a toll on her emotional well-being, and she resorted to suppressing her emotions in order to better focus on her mission.

Little Mac is actually very shy around women and doesn't know what to say to them. He is interested in pursuing a romantic relationship, but is concerned about how this will affect his boxing career. Doc Louis, as a surrogate father to the young athlete, encourages him to follow his heart and often coaches him on how to woo women.

Ike is gay. He is nevertheless devoutly chaste, knowing that he cannot express his true feelings until his homeland and people are safe. He is secretly an admirer of beauty and can often be found appreciating the aesthetic wonders inherent in the world around him. He confides his feelings in Palutena, whom he regards as a confidant and sisterly figure.

Yes, another person who believes that Ike is gay. However, I wouldn't have Ike look up to Palutena, because in my stories, Palutena is a strict Christian and considers homosexuality to be a sin, as does Pit, since both consider it unbecoming of a heavenly being to condone it.

Of course, I'm for LGBT rights myself, though I myself am straight.

Zelda is best friends with Zelda Williams, and was there for her when her father, Robin, committed suicide (RIP).

Drew Rose (from Pokemon) is trying out for the LA Angels of Anaheim as a pitcher so he can get a steady job. Doc Louis is training him, he has expertise in all sports, not just boxing.

• is so serious, he's borderline negative. Even is disconcerted with such a...lifeless attitude. (Geddit? 'Cause he's a robot. This version doesn't seem to sense emotions.)
• really feels it for no reason. Rumors say he does this to feed his fans' kayfabe, in which case he wouldn't dare feel it. Not for a second. Also, outside of Smash, he does surprisingly well at Guitar Hero.
  
• is a strict Expansionist when it comes to whatever "Dong" is. This weirds everyone out; even wonders if his big buddy was dropped on his head as an infant.
• Before first entered, Master Hand thought a certain genie with long, purple hair - among other nifty picks - would be more than enough, but then Crazy Hand countered that notion by dragging the Blue Blur over to newcomer signups ("Come on. Pitting the blue guy against would equal a cure for cancer at this point!"). Sonic gained more favor with the veterans than the purple-haired girl, making Master Hand realize his wacky sibling had struck unexpected gold. The half-genie still awaits her inevitable day that she joins next tournament.
• Speaking of the siblings Hand, they both might as well be agender. Being vastly masculine compared with the feminine Crazy, Master prefers male pronouns; Crazy leans toward female pronouns. Both Hands will answer to they, though.
• As ow the edgy as he is, is objectively more sentimental and empathetic than anyone thinks he is. He just likes to mask it for fear of embarrassment around ol' Stain.

Main instance being in Chapter 2 in Uprising, Palutena teases him about having naughty thoughts (possibly in relation to her) when pretending she can see into his mind. She didn't mean it, but Pit shows a face of pure guilt, but then tries to take Palutena's ignorance as a chance to shrug the situation off.

 

[Meta-Kraid]

The initial tryouts for Smash Bros are different each tournament. This time it started out with a race to the finish, the characters had to battle their way through a horde of enemies without being defeated. Veterans are given a huge advantage and almost always make it through, Ike for example didn't get a head start, but he did get a fair amount of boosts and items from fans. The honorable mentions will get trophies to commemorate them (not all trophies are from failed fighters, the rest are chosen by the main character from each universe).

Popo and Nana almost got through, but Nana was cornered by a group of metroids. Nana told Popo to go on without her, but he refused to leave his best friend. He tried to defeat the creatures with his ice abilities weakening them, but he couldn't defeat the queen metroid.
Wolf lost control of his wolfen and crashed.
Roy gave up after Lucina, Chrom, Lyn, Ike, Marth, and Robin all made it through to the next round.
Snake sacrificed himself to help Samus.
Young Link and his adult form were permanently banned for having twice the experience being the same person, so Toon Link Twilight Princess Link replaced them.
The Pokémon trainer sent his three Pokémon out on their own after he was attacked by a Tyranitar. He knew that they couldn't beat it without losing. He was a little sad when he found out that only Charizard made it though.
Mewtwo was 'sorting things' out with Giovanni during Brawl. Eventually he heard Giovanni had a son and set out to destroy him out of fear, but he saw himself in Silver. He flew off to a quiet cave in Kalos to rethink his life. After a few months, he asked Master Hand if he could join late.

Characters that don't make it in can try out for a late entry by surviving two hours in the dreaded Smash Run. Mewtwo survived by setting up a Psychic barrier around an entire room to protect himself. He then mind controlled the stronger enemies in the room to stand guard, teleported the weaker enemies off of the edge of a cliff, and fell asleep. Master and Crazy Hand were extremely disappointed, so they had the other smashers participate for five minutes each.

Isaac, King K. Rool, Wolf, Snake, Lucas, Pichu, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Mew, Captain Toad, Tetra, Roy, Dixie, and Plusle and Minun currently filling out applications. The Ice Climbers found out that shields were rewired to differently in their absence, and they can't work properly with them.

Ridley was rejected since Master Hand tried to make him work, but his flying mechanic was too over powered. Crazy Hand, however, thinks Ridley would be a great addition, and he helped Ridley prepare a presentation of how he could work better.

Absolutely. Hence why I'm implying he's asexual for now, though he may very well develop an interest later on in his developmental process.

Spinning off of the sexuality thing, I think Rosalina would be demi-heterosexual.

Her entire character is representative of and revolves around pure emotional attachment to those she loves and she seems to have a degree of love for all things, so if she were to be sexually attracted to someone, the main reason would be because she just loves them deeply.

However, I believe she would only be attracted to males in order to fill the void left in her heart by the loss of her father and brother. Rosalina herself already carries on her mother's ways in taking in the Lumas. So she'd wish to have a father for the Lumas. Especially since some Lumas have probably asked her about it on occasion.

I don't think she ever could settle down and would do all in her power to resist expressing her romantic affection/sexual attraction to someone, but I believe that's what she would want, deep down in her heart. She doesn't act on it because being the deity she is, the weight of her responsibilities does not allow for her to engage in relationships like that.

- All / are average, everyday citizens in Smashville. Some of them also assist Master Hand and Crazy Hand in keeping things in check at the Smash Mansion. Kind of like butlers and maids, if you will.

- and come from two separate timelines which were potentially created after Super Mario Land 2. is from a timeline where Wario becomes a game developer and founded Wario Ware Inc. is from a timeline where Wario becomes an adventurer in search of great treasures in the Wario Land games. Idea shamefully stolen from this.

After the events of the Subspace Emissary, a meeting was called by Master Hand, dubbed "The Smashville Summit", which planned and discussed on how him and the smashers would prepare if another Tabuu like figure emerged again.

Considering how much terrible damage had been brought upon many universes during the events, many representatives from all the corners of the Nintendo multiverse appeared at Smashville to discuss the subject matter alongside MH and the smashers.

The summit itself lasted a week, and while many arguments and controversy's broke out during it, they were able to agree on a small number of things to form a plan of sorts.
Through out it, the phrase "the Common Enemy" is used to describe a foe that has a power of Tabuu like proportions.

1. The Backup Plan.
One of the more major agreements was the implementation of Assist Trophies. If it became apparent very quickly that the smashers would soon be overwhelmed by their foes, or if they would simply need more help, the AT's would soon come to the rescue!
While we only see a handful of them in Brawl and 4, but in reality there are hundreds upon hundreds of them, with the handful we truly see being the main Assist Trophies, while the ones we don't see are either the captain or minor Assist Trophies.
For example, Lyn is the sole Fire Emblem AT in both Brawl and 4, below her are all the captain AT's who lead the minor AT's that come from each others native games, and combined they form a small army of sorts with Lyn as the main AT, the leader of them.
So to simply put it in terms of rank: Main AT > Captain AT > Minor AT.


2. To Bury The Hatchet And Face The Common Enemy.
Agreed on by many at the summit, those who shared rivalries and or hated each other, would have to put aside their differences and face the common enemy that everyone else was fighting. All wars and conflicts happening at that point in time must either cease to exist or a simple truce be agreed on. After the common enemy has been defeated, those wars and conflicts may or may not proceed, but it is up to to those fighting it to decide if they want to continue, and it is not up to those sitting on The Halberd Council to decide that.
Also, speaking on the Halberd Council...

3. The Halberd Council.
The Halberd Council is essentially the HQ and senate that was formed and created during all those arguments at The Smashville Summit. Named after Meta Knight's prized airship that was sacrificed to defeat and overcome the Subspace army, it is where all the politics and the ideas for the planned defense's go to be discussed.
Every universe has at least one representative there, some even more, to discuss other issues that are happening in other universes.
It's location is unknown to but only a few, but those few that do know swore never to tell where it is hidden.
Should The Common Enemy truly emerge, the location of The Halberd Council would be used as a HQ to plan the defenses and begin the counter attacks on the enemy.

I might build further into this.

So I was fighting Peach today and the thought struck me:

Just how powerful is this gal?

I'm convinced that Peach is actually an incredibly talented fighter and is capable of utterly flooring Bowser if she felt like it. She just lets herself get kidnapped because it breaks up the monotony of ruling a kingdom and she knows she isn't any any real danger. Bowser is clearly smitten with her and is actually good for keeping her safe and content, at least relative to the other villains that want to kidnap her, so it's not a bad lifestyle, all things considered.

The reason she doesn't fight against said other villains is because they're legitimately more powerful than she is. Bowser is good at hiding behind armies and castles, but as long as Mario has his wits about him, he's not too difficult to outsmart and defeat. Yet in any of the RPGs where a new villain appears as the big bad, Mario needs to spend the entire game leveling up and gaining new powers before he's able to take them on. Peach is actually in legitimate danger when she's kidnapped by the likes of Cackletta and Grodus, though she's smart enough to not make a fuss. She's proven to be very good at causing trouble from behind the scenes, though, and is clearly skilled at using her innate wiles and deceptive charm to subvert and undermine her captors' wicked ambitions.

Now I'm considering the other damsels in distress in the Smash roster. Zelda seems to be kidnapped a lot because she's a legitimate threat to the ambitions of Ganon and the other villains, being blessed, as she is, with the power of the Goddess Hylia and bearing the power necessary to truly defeat their evil ambitions. She's willing to go along with it in order to stave off unnecessary bloodshed and is actually instrumental to the defeat of the villains, making her a classic example of the "big good" archetype in action.

Palutena was kidnapped a couple of times way back when, though she's since gotten better at avoiding it. Pit has been training hard to avoid it happening again, and security around Skyworld is much better than it was in the eighties. She jokes about it now, of course. Most other gods are too afraid of Palutena and her legendary saltiness to actually attempt it, though, so she's pretty much safe nowadays.

Lucina, as the princess of a small yet prosperous nation, has undoubtedly been the target of many kidnapping attempts. Her father's legendary prowess with the sword, not to mention her own dab hand at hacking and slashing any would-be intruders, have ensured that this has since become a rare occurrence. Damsel she may be, but the only ones that'll be in distress are those that don't learn their lessons the first time.

Jimbo Kern was not the Duck Hunt team's first choice for hunter to join them. They originally sought Elmer Fudd, but rejected him because they thought he was too childlike for the way he talked.

Pit and Palutena, as they are not fans of South Park, have objected to Jimbo's presence in the mansion. Master Hand refuses to listen.

(There are some actual interesting connections between South Park and Pokemon. South Park released its movie in 1999; its international distributor was Warner Bros., which also brought the first three Pokemon movies to the Western world, the first the same year as the South Park movie. Also that year, South Park made an episode spoofing Pokemon called Chinpokomon. The US distributor of the South Park movie and the current video distributor of the show worldwide is Paramount, which released the sixth Pokemon movie in the UK. That movie was in turn released by Miramax in the US, at which time it was owned by Disney, whose brand of animated musicals was spoofed in the South Park movie.)

There are several butlers in the mansion, as is expected. All of them are English, and one of them is Pip from South Park.

The Pokemon characters are aware of Chinpokomon, and think it is a poor rip-off of Pokemon.

The Smashers are themselves celebrities for their participation in the competition, and all have dedicated fanbases.

The storylines that drive many SSB fights are real, unlike WWE, so any feuds or friendships Smashers have in the arena also are found outside the arena.

The in-game announcers in Smash do not provide commentary on televised Smash fights, instead they are provided by top commentators who work for Smash's television partners (currently ESPN and Fox Sports).

Lately on karaoke nights (every Wednesday night), certain Smashers have sang certain types of songs:
Rosalina sings songs from Frozen
Lucario and Sir Aaron perform songs that were originally duets between a male and a female, each one takes turns doing the female part
Donkey Kong does rap music
Whatever the Duck Hunt Dog does depends on what personality he has at the moment
The child Smashers sing songs from the South Park movie that were performed by at least one of the boys
Mario sings songs in Italian, as does Luigi
When the Ice Climbers were part of Smash, they always sang Christmas songs on karaoke night, even during the summer
Snake performed love songs when he was part of Smash, in an attempt to woo Samus
Little Mac sings Eye of the Tiger and other Rocky franchise songs every week
Wario always sings songs related to money

Bowser's favorite band is Led Zeppelin, he fought for their inclusion in Super Smash Metal Fest

Pikachu brings power back to the mansion in case of an outage

Mewtwo came over to Mansion for Christmas to meet the Smashers that have joined since he left, he will become a permanent resident in the spring

Lucario wants to meet Elsa and Anna from Frozen too, they are chocolate aficionados like Lucario.

Mario and Luigi's restaurant contains all kinds of gourmet pizzas that can't be found at other pizza joints, such as buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese pizza. They have no plans on making it a chain ala Olive Garden though.

All the Smashers regularly watch new episodes of Pokemon and Sonic Boom on Cartoon Network, and the new Pac-Man cartoon on Disney XD. The Smashers think that Pokemon doesn't have the same luster it had in its first five seasons though (a sentiment I agree with, and I think you know why).

Ness wants to be a Pokemon trainer too, and is learning from Ash Ketchum on how to be one.

All the Smashers are part of the US Army Reserves.

The Smashers want to take part in their own "Hunger Games", but Master Hand says "no" each time. (In the next Smash, the Wii U Version should have a mode heavily inspired by The Hunger Games.)

The Duck Hunt Dog laments that he doesn't have a cat to chase around all the time. (I think it would be nice to have Meowth as a DLC playable character, which would of course remove him from the Pokeball summons.)

Every year in June, Samus takes Pikachu on a tour of Wisconsin's cheese companies. Ash and Misty will be joining them starting next June.

I believe SmashVille is where all the characters go to celebrate after a successful tournament or the entire game is finished. Also I believe it's where they rest before/in between battles.

Master Hand requires all Smashers to have Facebook, even the Pokemon. All current Smashers are required to be friends with each other and with Master and Crazy Hand (who both have fake names and pictures to deceive others). Former Smashers are required to be friends with Smashers they once fought alongside with in order to maintain contact, but are not required to friend newcomers if they are leaving (meaning, the Smashers that departed before Brawl did not have to friend the Brawl newcomers, and the Smashers that departed before SSB4 did not have to friend the SSB4 newcomers). There are no limitations as to who else the Smashers can have as Facebook friends.

Some random headcanons regarding Robin:

- The two Robins are weird when it comes to naming each other. The male version calls himself "Robin" while he refers to his female counterpart as "Reflet". The female version goes about the same thing as well, which often leads to confusion from the other characters as to who's "Robin" and who's "Reflet".

- The interview process for Robin is considered to be one of the most bizarre interviews in the history of Smash Bros. When the interview started, the judges (Samus, Link, Falcon, and Mario) were not expecting an entire crowd of people consisting of the many MU templates from FE:A. It didn't help matters that all of the avatars went by the name "Robin", gave the same answers for some of the questions, and had conflicting personality traits. It was reported that Falcon threw his helmet to the ground and stormed out of the room due to how annoying and confusing the interview got. It got to the point where the judges just simply decided to pick two avatars to best represent "Robin", in which they decided to pick the two main avatars.

- M. Robin attempted to ask out F. Robin once, but because both of them thought it was weird to date "themselves", the relationship was dead on arrival.

- Both Robins are close friends of Chrom and Lucina. They have also became friends with Marth and Ike due to their legendary status.

- If both Robins are on the same team, they have a habit of finishing each other's sentences.

- Some characters like Dedede, Pit, and Luigi are weirded out by how the Robins are technically the same person while Sonic often jokes about F. Robin being a cross-dressing M. Robin with hair extensions. Sometimes, F. Robin actually masquerades as M. Robin and vice versa as a joke.
