Getting back to Smash-related topics. Why do you think they immediately cut the scene after Samus's Final smash and choose not to reveal Zero Suit Samus? Do you think they just wanted to delay ZSS's reveal or is there a hidden message behind it? Discuss.

Probably to delay Zamus's reveal, if you ask me. I mean, she's become a pretty significant addition to Smash Bros., and is the only rep for Metroid other than suited Samus in the series (assuming we don't get Ridley, Noxus, etc.). Let's assume we do get Zero Suit Samus, you think the suit pieces will still be a prominent feature?

I'm not sure, it's almost like Sakurai wants people to speculate on her considering he showed Samus's final smash intact yet not the after effects of it.

I think it's more to do with them wanting to redesign her to her Metroid Other M look as well and thus they want to hold off revealing her until a later date. Kinda like how it was with Zelda and Sheik during the Brawl updates.

Yeah, she's for sure in still. I'd be willing to bet a hefty sum at it. But i'm just curious as to why they are hiding her when she was there right away with Brawl. It makes me wonder, as people said its probably to do Other M style stuff for her.

Only thing about the Other M redesign speculation is that Zamus in Other M looks pretty much exactly the same as the Zero Mission/Brawl Zamus design

Well, ZSS is considered a top tier character with the armor pieces. As a ZSS main, I make sure that I get the required damage done with the armor pieces (in rare cases I don't and in some cases I get an early -1:00 minute kill). The armor pieces are quite important and significantly improves ZSS in her early game, potentially mid game if the pieces were maintained. Even though the armor pieces were removed, I still see ZSS as a powerful character with a strong airgame and an balanced landgame. Her doubles Down-smash to aerial of attack is powerful enough to place her as the second most punishing character before Iceclimbers (obviously). If the pieces were ultimately removed, I'd still main her.

So I've got to thinking, and thought about the possibility of online tournaments. Sure, they're not going to be as upscale as, say, Apex or EVO, but I think it could be a legitimate means for people who simply lack the funds for travel to play on a competitive level. Of course, this was pretty much impossible with Brawl's horrific wi-fi, so with Smash 4 coming in the next year, and Namco-Bandai at the helm, it would stand to reason that given their treatment of fighting games (and the hype and high expectations for Smash 4), the Smash 4 servers will be far better than Brawl's, allowing for more fluent online matches, making online tourneys a viable option. Any thoughts?

Actually, SmashBoards had a tournament with like a few thousand entrants. I still remember that I lost in the round of either 32 or 64 to my pal Eternal Phoenix Fire (CURSE YOU FRIENDDD!!!!), and then he lost to the campy as hell ROB that won (the guy's shortest 3 stock match was like 11 minutes, lol).

But yeah, online tournaments would be something more than like 300 people do then. And trust me, the online will be a thousand times better, because quite frankly, it can't get any worse than what we already got in Brawl! Well, it actually could; instead of taunt parties we could have starring parties!
