We had yet to have a wild and feral fighter like Wolf.

That's what makes him stand out.

As for Lucas, you got me there. Though he definitely sticks out a bit more than Ness with his heavy reliance on supernatural power, even if he's mostly a "Ness for the less technically skilled".

EDIT: Or a "Ness Lite", "Diet Ness", "Ness Ten", etc. :troll:

Wolf differentiates himself from the other space animals, absolutely, but he still doesn't stand out as much as a character from, say, a completely new series when compared to them.

Also, Bowser was already a pretty feral fighter who had claw slash moves.

I have no problem with Wolf or Lucas being in Brawl, I just think that they pretty clearly fall short of a criteria of complete uniqueness and therefore we need to take what Sakurai has said here with a grain of salt. Unless he's revamped his process completely, of course.

After Melee, people asked if Marth and Roy were related and in the same game.
After Brawl, people asked if Marth and Ike were related and in the same game.

If Chrom gets in SSB4, people will likely ask if Marth and Chrom are relat--
Well, they are actually, but they didn't live in the same time period.

And the funny thing to add to this is now THEY ALL ARE NOW. Thanks to spotpass/dlc stuff in Awakening

Bowser had a style more like (as Snake put it) a cheap movie monster rather than a feral beastman like Wolf.
And with his newer style in Smash 4, it's hard to tell if it's less that style or more considering things like the Showa era of Godzilla. (I swear, if Bowser starts flying by propelling himself like a rocket with his fire breath....)

Yeah, but still, he's a character with feral claw attacks. I'm not suggesting that they are by any means closely related, but neither is Wolf filling a completely vacant and unique niche, aesthetically or with his gameplay.

I'm pretty down for a Bowser with atomic breath. The drop kick is certainly reminiscent of Big G.

...I would main him in a ****ing heartbeat! :troll:

Seriously, I'm looking forward to playing as Smash 4 Boozer. Always had a soft spot for the Koopa King, and I'm liking some of the aesthetic changes seen thus far.

Then perhaps it's time to re-evaluate your wanted newcomers.

@Moon Monkey: Do you mean "implementation"?

Why would I reevaluate what I want? So I can be right? No thanks.

I see a different style from Ridley altogether.
An overall brutish and sadistic style befitting his nature.

Also, claws do not determine a feral style.
What determines a feral style is how the being in question performs his/her actions.

Wolf, despite being an intelligent anthromorph, fights tooth to claw relentlessly as comparable to a savage hunter in the wild. This in opposite of fellow Star Fox characters Fox and Falco, who fight with traditional hand-to-hand combat (or in Brawl Falco's case, wing-blade style using actual wings).
Bowser, while also an intelligent creature (can't really claim as an anthromorph), relies mostly on brute strength comparable to a lumbering kaiju like Godzilla. And now, he's become more of one arguably with his very Showa era-esque dropkick.

I'm pretty excited for this new Bowser too. I didn't even really use him before though.

He should totally get the hurl gloves from SMRPG so he can throw Mario's at Mario

People are going to wonder if Marth is the younger sister of Chrom.

Chrom talk aside, is there anyway for me to play FE6 legally in English? I know it's Japan-exclusive, but is there a reliable patch of some sort I can use to play it in English on my GBA cart? Don't have a GBA, but thankfully those are region-free and I plan on getting one again.

When I imported my cart I just stumbled through until I learned what everything did. I'm not sure how to apply patches to the cart themselves I'm afraid.

From what I understand you would need to acquire the ROM file from the cartridge itself, extract it to your computer, and apply the English patch which can be found online, I am unsure if you are able to replace the original ROM in the cartridge with the new, translated version though.

Edit: If you purchased a GBA Flashcart you could move the new, translated ROM into that and play it.

You know, you could just simply use an emulator (recommend Visualboy Advance) to play Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. You don't need to waste your money on a cartridge, considering used games don't lead to any profits. Especially since carts/discs for Fire Emblem games are surprisingly high.

There might be a Gameshark SP code to translate it, as is. But I'm doubtful of it. Of course, that assumes you're getting a GBA SP and the Shark itself. But eh.

He said "legally". I'm not sure if he considers ROMs and emulators to be legal.

I swear, everybody going on about this Reggie for Smash stuff is just going to lead to a trailer showing Reggie playing as his Mii. With Miyamoto, Iwata, and Sakurai too probably.

Gonna be great.

I'd almost be able to stomach the Mii with that.

Not quite, but almost.

Don't forget Naruto.

Why? She would cry and apologize for calling her opponents and attackers a mean word.
Cowards aren't fit for Smash.

I just read what she did. lol.

Stupid *****. Even if you do say ******, don't admit it and lose MILLIONS in endorsements. I thought she'd be smarter than that.

So people have to lie?

She had a gun pointed to her head, and she's treated as the bad guy for insulting her attacker 30-40 years ago.
Is someone automatically in the right just for being called a nigg-er?

All this talk of Mii's actually makes me want them now...
I guess this is what Smashboards does to you.

I would totally secondary my boy, the face with only a dot in the center.
