That's funny. My aunt's uncle's cousin's dog's hair groomer's gay best friend's hooker's pet pigmy who is good friends with Sakurai said he knows for a fact that Sakurai has no clue who Impa even is.

He's a two-handed swordsman people. Marth and Chrom are far more similar in design than Ike could ever be to Chrom.

He's a two-handed swordsman people. Marth and Chrom are far more similar in design than Ike could ever be to Chrom.

Nearly every character is unique now, so if sakurai is gonna make some significant cuts which looking at the link I posted is very possible, unique movesets may get cut.

Sheik hasn't been relevant since OoT. Impa is the next best thing in the current game. I am just being practical. If I request a Skyward Sword redesign... a design that doesn't have Sheik in it. I had better think of a realistic alternative. That would be Impa. She could easily replace Sheik. I don't really know why Impa is undeserving compared to a character that wouldn't exist within canon. My favorite character is actually Wolf. As I said in my post. I don't care if they keep Sheik. I actually like Sheik more than Impa. Even if it is just slightly. SMH.

I think it's still too early to have that sort of mindset. We just saw only three newcomers and as some of them being mindblowing (depending on the person), we still have most of the newcomers unveiled.

At least Miss Fit and Villager (and Megaman) show that:

- Expect the unexpected. You can never predict Sakurai.

- Assumptions/Traditions can change. And change is part of nature.

- Even your wildest dreams can come true.


So with that said, keep an open mind. Maybe you find new favourites during this game. At least I did from Miss Fit.

And also if you feel like Sakurai's not aware of the fanbases when doing rosters, go read up some articles.
He really is more dedicated to us than we can think.

So no reason to have your hopes down. Like Frost said, just don't put up expectations and watch what'll happen.

Zelda transforming into Sheik is the same as Ganondorf turning into Ganon. A different form, but the same character nonetheless.

And, before you spout your Sheik transgender bull****, Sheik is mistaken for a male, but I'll make you think about this:

Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time was looking for Zelda, princess of Hyrule, in other words, for a girl. Zelda taking on a masculine identity and removing any traces of her true self would be perfect to deceive Ganon into never finding her. After all, Sheik was easily mistaken for a man (and Princess Ruto DOES mistake Sheik for a man) and Ganondorf was looking for a girl, not a man.

I don't really care in the impa/sheik debate, but I guess I prefer impa because 1) I like things to be new and fresh, it's a new game afterall so put in new stuff. 2) one of my dirty pleasures in life is seeing people get butthurt over cut veterans and characters that "shoo-ins". I don't know why I find it so entertaining, I should check with my psychologist.

I love seeing people get butthurt over things, I don't get butthurt. I don't really care that much. The only thing that would make me blow up about this game if the roster is too small and even on that I'm lenient. Seeing people whine and scream about geno and Ridley during brawl just makes my day a little better.

Oh and for impa they could easily just make him a separate character and have both impa and Zelda have down Bs. I'd definetly be down with that.

If Brawl is any indication, Link and Zelda in Smash have elements from all Links and Zeldas.

Zelda in Brawl has spells and Sheik form from Ocarina of Time, while also having Light Arrows she used in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

While we keep things new and fresh we might as well add characters from Chinese rip-offs of games like Somario or Sonic Adventure 7 to keep people guessing and add in a tiredness effect after 2 minutes of gameplay and it slowly wares on your character as time goes past 2 minutes. **** continuity and well based foundations.

Btw, Captian Falcon is cut. He got old.

Yes and to second sentence NOOOOOOOOOOO. But honestly I think the DLC doesn't count much, because nearly every important character from fire emblem was reped in awakening in some way.

Okay, romanticist time!

The reason we don't like discussing Sheik vs. Impa anymore is because wayyyyyy back when smash 4 had only just been announced, when the forums you all see now were all actually just one thread (and an idea thread before THAT which was before I came into the speculation scene), Diddy used to create page-long arguments about how Impa should replace sheik (absolute no disrespect to Diddy btw, he's cool, this story is just funny as heck to tell!)... and no matter how much reasoning and logic we came up with to dispel the idea (for you see, we were not opposed to the idea of Impa coming in so much as the idea of Impa REPLACING Sheik), Diddy would come up with his own logic and reasoning which usually happened to be on a completely different tangent from ours.

And as such the argument would die down, then start up again, then die down, then start up again.... and so on.

And this is why we must never speak of romanticism Impa and Sheik in the same sentence again. :3
