Welcome to 2 pages ago my friend. ;)
Not gonna lie my heart sank when I saw Banjo and Kazooie.
It's good to actually have some sort of confirmation that it is fake though.

You'll live longer.
Sorry if it came off that way bruh. Just throwing joke jabs
No harm done.

BTW is that Capcom line-up fake also? or is it still unverified?

The common internet chuckler throws joke jabs.
The uncommon internet laugher gets buckets.

If there's one thing I learned in Martial Arts, it's that combos exist in real life, and you don't stop attacking until they're on the ground, disabled due to laughter. If that's your mission, that is :3

Every time I think of LeFou singing "No one's neck is incredibly thick as Gaston's!" I always replace neck with *** edit: booty.

If you want a pretty good incentive to hate Microsoft and be weary of the Xbone, here it is. It's a big image and if someone thinks it will be an annoyance or a breach of forum rules, let me know and I will link to it instead, and be warned, because it will make you well angry.

I literally have no words to even describe my distaste towards Microsoft right now.

If it weren't for the fact that the vast majority of computers and software use Windows, I'd say **** Microsoft.

@PSIGuy
Basically, Rare had been working on Banjo-Threeie for a while prior to the Xbox 360 launch. The game had a lot of heart, soul, passion, and potentially unique elements put into it that the fans would love. However, Microsoft execs decided to be all business-ey citing things like demographics and stupid **** like that they told them to cancel it. Eventually, another Rare team was working on an inventive vehicle game, but it was all concept, no characters, setting, etc. Meanwhile, Banjo-Threeie was without a concept. On paper, the combination seemed like a good idea, but in the end, we all know what happened.

So what you're telling me is that JonTron was right in his theory.

I have nothing but unwavering hatred for Microsoft right now.

I really, REALLY hope their ****Bone crashes and burns like the goddamn Titanic.

They have done NOTHING to contribute positively to the industry and then they went and ruined my favorite franchise. I let Rare share the blame with them in the past, as sure, the Stamper brothers had left, but now... Now that I know what was up, I'm pretty pissed.

Doesn't look like a troll either, that's /b/ ain't it? You got a link buddy?

So does this mean that L.O.G. represents Microsoft and possibly EA and Activision?

If you're really feeling angry, you might want to listen to something like this:

You know, I took that as satire back then, but in light of this 4Chan thread, this was their way of giving MS the finger in a way they could get away with it.

And I'd say Mircosoft contributed to the industry by setting the standards for online play.

Except Nuts & Bolts is a great game.
Yes, it really is.
I wonder how many of the haters actually played it.
Even Jon, he clearly played the game for half an hour, like he always does, without attention (you see Game Grumps? Half the games they play "suck" because they don't know what to do because they don't pay attention).

Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is a GREAT game. Believe what you want after that guys

PC

I was playing CnC online way back in 1999 with the original and then Red Alert.

I owned it, I beat it, and I got every Jiggy. It's not a great game, its a decent to mediocre game, all of the challenges were dry and repetitive, the worlds were largely empty with nothing to do.

The best aspect of the game was that trial room where you could build all sorts of different vehicles, I liked making fast things that would blow up. It was an interesting concept that needed more polish and more content.

However, it was a HORRIBLE Banjo title, it'd make a decent spinoff, but to call THAT Banjo Threeie is a kick in the balls. The game had no heart, though, seeing that 4chan post, I can't blame Rare.

I played that game for a few days and just couldn't get into it, and I enjoyed Starfox Adventures for what it was. What he said about the levels was a very valid point. They're so well laid out and designed, but there's next to nothing in them and their whole existence is to pretty much go find missions that use parts of the level when those missions could've been done at the select screen similar to Mario 64. The old B&K games had an incredibly large emphasis on exploration as you didn't know where your next jiggie would show up, giving it a strong Metroidvania taste.

Then there was the whole car building aspect. I tried to like it; I really did. I think it's an interesting concept, but it did not sync up with the core gameplay elements of Banjo-Kazooie. Compare this to Starfox Adventures where the gameplay elements, save for a handful of level transitions and the final boss, were built up from the ground without any constraints so the synergy between the mechanics worked out there.

The game mechanics for Nuts & Bolts are pretty unique I did play it along with Viva Pinata. The issue people have with Nuts and Bolts isn't that it is a bad game, it's the fact that it isn't what we were lead to believe.
Banjo-Kazooie is known as a 3D platformer collect-a-thon. The teaser trailer they first showed was exactly what Banjo-Kazooie fans have come to love. BK N&B isn't remotely close to what was teased at the end of Banjo-Tooie or that initial teaser trailer.

That's like buying a 3D Mario game expecting similar elements/mechanics to what has been shown in the past, and instead getting Mario Saturday Night Poker as the sequel to Galaxy 1 & 2. Which is NOTHING to do with what the series is known for.

I guarantee you if this game had a totally new set of characters and lore surrounding it. It would receive none of this backlash.

I bought a 360 for Banjo Kazooie. I got both N&B and a 360 on the day it came out. (Only current gen console I had was the Wii).

What a terrible game. Atleast the investment paid off. After the horrible N&B I recieved Soul Calibur IV for Christmas that year, and later purchased more games.

I played several hours of this game, got through most of BanjoLand before a thief stole my first 360 and games from my Dad's house I kid you not, and I will admit as far as vehicle based games go it wasn't half bad. The physics were great and it was admittedly a lot of fun building your own vehicles. My only complaints with it as a standalone game was that the missions were a little tedious after awhile and, as Jon Tron said, the levels were massive yet nothing was in them. I remember searching around the giant worlds for hours just trying to find anything. I must have spent 2 straight hours just trying to jam the gears in the first world to see if anything would happen and nothing did. I suppose an intractable world is not really the point of a vehicle based game, and like i said as far as vehicle games go it was quite good. With all this said no other game disappointed me quite like this one. Not because it was necessarily a bad game mind you, you can actually tell by playing it that a lot of work was put into this game and it comes out polished, but because it just isn't a Banjo game. The reason I wasted so much of my time playing just exploring the worlds is because I was in denial. I wanted to believe the huge open 3D adventure series I held so dear had returned. If N&B had any other characters on the box I would actually like the game. But after years and years of waiting, to get that first trailer that all but confirmed Banjo-Threeie was on the horizon only to get a vehicle based game regardless of quality is sure to be controversial and bring some haters. I only hope that if Rare makes another Banjo game, they go back to the series' roots. If they want to make a vehicle game, a party game, a fighting game, a music game, or anything else, fine go for it. I am sure they can make a polished experience with anything that they put time into. But please, don't use the cast of a beloved 3D platformer that has been all but dead for several years and call it a direct sequel.
