It's an hour an half for me in Jersey. I already know there will be cats that are camping out the night before, for dibs on the kiosks...

Seriously? My most local city isn't even included? It's at least the second largest city in the state and has many Best Buys.

Oh well, Super Smash Bros. 4 won't be one of the games demoed anyway.

I'm so salty right now.
Not as convenient as I would like, but Harvey is on the same side of the river as I am so there's some good news there. It's also the place where I got my Wii. Now to make a schedule where I have an additional day off that week so I can go there.

Oh ****, the Best Buy thing is in Flint lol that's what's up

As far as the whole friend zone thing, I actually don't mind being in the friend zone with a girl at all lol I'm that way with a lot of girls I consider to be attractive

I don't consider it to be near as bad as people make it out to be, then again I'm not exactly in pursuit of any romantic relationship or sex or anything either so maybe that's why

Then I don't think it would be considered friend zoned if your not pursuing a romantic relationship. I would just consider it being friends with and attractive person.

Good boy. There is much value in friendship if you actually like somebody.

Trust me, though, you don't want to get me started on this subject.

You're right Poppy, it won't be that easier.
IT WILL BE EASIER!!!

And I will finally CAPTURE that historic championship title.

For years I've sought to become a smash world champion, only to not even come close. Heck, I've never even won a tournament, and I've entered at least a dozen of them. Every competitive smasher dreams of one day becoming the best, and now, my opportunity sits before me. I will finally be the echelon of world champions like Isai, superboom, Ken, Azen PC Chris, Dr. PP, Armada, Mango, Ally, ADHD, and Mew2King. I will be one of the line of many great Smash Bros world champions... and all I got to do now is beat this measly Poppy!!!

Oh, trust me, you're underestimating me, and that will prove to be your fatal flaw.

Exactly. Otherwise it's just well, charming your way up to the pants. :smirk:

I've been friends with girls I found attractive though.

[Sappy Advice]Agree'd. And if Highschool has taught me anything it's that: romantically pursuing someone just because they are attractive will most likely end up in a disaster.
The relationship is just built upon external love. I try find someone is attractive externally and internally. [/Sappy Advice]

How are you suppose to know what they are like internally unless you pursue them to get to know them

Yeah, I seriously have no clue where this story is headed. I'll just leave the writing to you guys. I'll just stick to what I do best, drawing. I've already had a say on what I wanted to have a say in, my death scene.

Anyway...

There's so much I could say here, and I think I've talked about this in the past, but I'll just keep it short.

"Alpha Male" is a term made by clueless idiots who have no comprehension of the simplest of things. You can't make someone like you, you can't trick or seduce someone. They either like you or they don't, simple as that. Love/Attraction isn't about how many times you've complimented a girl vs. how many times you've teased her, to raise her "attraction level," it's about compatible personalities.

Some people have more "chemistry" together (to put it in simple terms) than others, and it's something you should always try to gauge and measure. It's something that's more predisposed from the getgo based on how well you can get along together and how easy it is to talk to each other, as well as how much BOTH of you anticipate your next encounter/conversation/etc...

If you wanna have a strong bond with someone, no amount of teasing, or acting like an "alpha male" will do you any good. If a relationships is built on lies and cheap tricks, then that's all it's ever gonna be, one big lie. A strong bond is built on intimacy, and to have intimacy you must have communitcation and trust. This is why friendship (and I mean a REAL friendship) is the best way to truly get to know someone, especially someone you might be romantically interested in. However, most people confuse friendship with just being friends and forget that "the lets just be friends zone" isn't friendship, it's just a girl's way (and a guy's way too, I've friend zoned my fair share of girls) of telling someone they aren't interested.

^^^That's another topic I could go on about, but there's no point.

Anyway, my advice to anyone wondering what the hell I'm talking about is: Forget about being "The Alpha Male" or about trying to be attractive to women, and just be genuine and be yourself, this of course doesn't mean forego self-improvement, it just means don't fake it, you'll never make it.
Nicely said, Manly. I hate the "Alpha" and "Beta" terminology since it is mainly used by ridiculous man children who treat seduction and relationships like a game. That being said, there are some valid points brought up when analyzing the BEHAVIOR of these labeled groups. They key to attraction is not being a douchebag or an asshole, but the key is also not being painfully nice and emotionally supportive. It's about confidence in yourself and a sense of life that makes you desirable.

On your point about the "Friend Zone," I would say it's more complicated than that. A lot of times the friend zoner has no idea that they are doing the friend zoning (it kills me to use this vocabulary). In many cases of this, a generally awkward guy with low self esteem will have a friend that likes him as a person but either doesn't find him attractive, or at the very least would not like to be seen in a relationship with him. This SHOULD be fine, since almost all friendships between different genders lack this desire for something more. However, these insecure and emotionally stunted guys view this as their big shot at "A RELATIONSHIP," since they've had it ingrained in their heads since they were born that relationships are the key to life and the most desirable thing in existence (absolutely monstrous, no doubt, but we'll save that critique of our culture for another time). Obviously, this is a laughable illusion that leads to all sorts of drama that generally destroys the friendship, because as you said, it's not REALLY a friendship, but for slightly different reasons than "it's just how they say they aren't interested."

I think it would be so easy to eliminate the "Friend Zone" if people were taught to actually value THEMSELVES instead of being told that it's a virtue to put the entire worth of your existence on the shoulders of someone else. Not only would people not fall into desperate obsessions, they would be far more attractive to the opposite (or same) sex. How did we get on this topic, anyways?

That's why I said externally and internally. You go for the looks, but you should ideally stay for the personality in addition to the looks.
We all are a bit shallow whether we admit it or not. :p

Does that mean you accept Kuma=??? Because you (and N3ON) could do GREAT THINGS with the MEN (and one potentially one WOMAN) OF MOONKNIGHT!!!

STOP TRYING TO TAKE MY TEAMMATE YA MEGALOMANIACAL JERK! I was lucky to be given the distinct pleasure of not having to fight N3ON, I'm not giving that up for your lunatic dreams of Smash conquest! The Smash scene is for everyone, not just for you Moonknights!

Though I'd really appreciate if the story went back to being simple like how it was XD

Wait, what? So I can't go to the BB down the street? I have to travel 5 hours just to play Smash? Actually, that's not too bad..
But still salty. :link2:
YESSSS Huntsville is not very far from where I live!

I'mma stay there and play their Wii U and let no one else have a turn to play it.

And now there seems to be relationship talk. We're really bonding now. :awesome: My last relationships were in high school, since then I've kept to myself. Being content with just me is great. Avoid the negative energy of most people. Avoid the difficult socializing. Avoid the social dependency. It's a shame that, in terms of relationships, during high school I thought they were so important. Wish I'd have been fine with myself! :chuckle: Lesson learned!

since they've had it ingrained in their heads since they were born that relationships are the key to life and the most desirable thing in existence (absolutely monstrous, no doubt, but we'll save that critique of our culture for another time).

I think it would be so easy to eliminate the "Friend Zone" if people were taught to actually value THEMSELVES instead of being told that it's a virtue to put the entire worth of your existence on the shoulders of someone else
Well said. I've grown up with those delusions, and they've resulted in the worst experiences of my life, especially the second part about putting your worth on another. One particular relationship was like this, for almost an entire year it went on, and it was THE single most awful experience of my life. So awful I wouldn't dare describe it to anyone I don't know intimately.

So all the Best Buy locations in California that will have the demos are at least 6 hours away from me.
This one is amazing.
I love how the manager (head coach) for my football (soccer) team is all over the internet after that penalty shootout celebration. /sp/ had a goldmine of his reaction GIFs on Sunday night.

Well, as animals isn't the only purpose of our existence to procreate and continue our species existence into the next generation? Or more specifically to make sure our DNA continues into the next generation

For the record, I meant "Alpha Male" as a joke, and as in like a leader of a pack seeking dominating the smash WiiU/3DS scene!

And the best way to do that is to break their will to not be in a relationship with you by being awesome and doing things original that showed I care about her. Be original, or as my pal Brucie from GTA IV would say, "BE GENETICALLY... DIFFERENT!!!"

Reminds me of that 2010 FIFA World Cup match where one team (I forget which) kept the game 0-0 in the first round with only 10 guys for most of the match. That was beautiful defense. Also, I still laugh at France being ranked a top 10 team in 2010!

Actually, no. As HUMANS, the only purpose of our existence is happiness, which is achieved through self actualization.

Also, you can pass on your DNA without a relationship.

Whenevr I check this thread, I can't make out the heads or tails of the discussion. @_@
It's because you're not looking at the heels with your feels you silly, silly pills.
It's the General Discussion Thread and Johnknight1 posted. What did you expect?
Correction: It's the General MOONKNIGHT Discussion Thread, and I am posting on what I naturally control.

Tracy=???? San Jose=??? I have to drive 30 minutes!!! There's one in Plesanton, and that city has way more money than either city (it's the richest town in America in terms of average income with a population between 75,000 and 100,000). I'm so salty!!!

False: people are useful as friends as well. I'm sure there's thousands of ladies who feel that way about me and my Johnatude. :shades: (sounds like an insult, but isn't)

Your right, a relationship isn't important in the act of spreading your DNA

I wonder if the Alpha male IS Superior after all, since it seems spreading DNA to the most people = biological superiority

Do other great apes attempt to "Mate for life" like humans? If not, it seems we're creating some kind of false societal act

According to neogaf Sonic Lost World on the wii-u is just an upscaled port of the 3ds version.

Even gamefaqs is smarter then this.
We already saw the trailer, and no way the 3DS can handle that. It's too well-detailed and has way too much going on for it to be on the 3DS.

I'm so salty right now.
Well gee, for "allowing fans across the United States and Canada to experience Wii U titles" they sure have a wide selection of Canadian cities with participating Best Buys. Oh wait, no, they don't have ANY. They don't even have Seattle. :glare:

The Canadian list better just be not out yet...

The point is that spreading your DNA is irrelevant, as we are humans. We aren't mindless apes ruled by primal instinct. We are sentient beings that are capable of unfathomable heights. What the great apes do has and should not have any effect on what is proper for humanity.

@ N3ON
Lynnwood is just North of Seattle if I remember correctly.

There's many different species of animals that do that actually. And actually I'm pretty sure people who do that generally are able to have more offspring.

N3ON's not your teammate... not yet. And currently, she's a free agent. Free Agents gotta do what Free Agents gotta do, and that means JOINING MOONKNIGHT!!!
