In other news, I was underwhelmed by that Direct, but I really shouldn't have been, considering it ended up about how I thought it would. Nintendo having an exclusive deal with Sonic made my younger self defending Nintendo during the 16-bit console wars (which I was a little late to) feel vindicated.

Excited about that the Direct we're all waiting for is happening before E3, but now the days are going to start to crawl by. Ugh.

Also there better be a Best Buy by me that has playable Smash. Though I'm willing to make quite the journey if need be.

So in the realm of other obvious factoids like the sky being blue and fire being hot, Super Smash Bros will be in the next Nintendo Direct. My best guess would probably place the stream being aired Sunday, June 9th. Last year Nintendo aired their Pre-E3 stream that Sunday before E3 began, so going off of that same precedent I could see that happening. Problem is how many people will be tuning in on a Sunday during the NBA and NHL playoffs? Not exactly an ideal time. Then again, the direct is aimed more for the Nintendo community anyways. At least on Sunday less people will be working than during the weekday, in turn meaning more viewers. Whichever the case, we'll find out soon enough.

I came when I saw ALL the Pikmin 3 stuff (my most anticipated Wii U game). Stinks that Japan & Europe is getting the game a few days before North America (as in Japan & Europe has it July while NA has it August.) And I wasn't expecting a September release date for the Wonderful 101 either (another game I'm wanting badly).

As for that Iwata tweet, I wonder how early "before the start of E3" he means? A day or two? A few hours? Either way, I'm super excited we'll still get Smash news before E3.
