What about Shadow of the Eternals? That entire thing was fishy as hell.
Fishy? I noticed a lot of people were unable to put their money towards anything Denis Dyack is a part of but I never saw anyone calling the project fishy. Hopeless but not fishy.

Because I said all of your opinions are ****ty and that you are ****ty overall? Way to blow things outta proportion. But aside from the "astronomical" costs, though, are there any other reasons why you feel Inafune could be likened to a money-grubbing pig? Hopefully I can get a "mature" response outta that one. Oh, and maybe an educated one, too!
Ey! This is a formal discussion we shall not have "name-calling" in this classroom!

Eh, I didn't get to even pay for the Kickstarter myself, but I'll buy Mighty No. 9 when it comes out. From what I've seen, the concepts do look promising. We did get a simple alpha gameplay vid and a few good screenshots. As for the Stretch Goals, I didn't really care for those, the only ones that mattered were the 3DS version and the challenge modes. If people feel the need to throw extra cash at them, so be it, I would hardly call it money grubbing. At least, not any more so than most other Kickstarters. Many Kickstarters at the time pretty much destroyed their goals. But Mighty No 9 and Shantae were the biggest examples of just wrecking their goals.

I don't remember the details but I remember reading an article pointing out a lot of discrepancies/contradictions within the Kickstarter which made it appear fishy. Again, I don't remember why, but I'm sure the article or video, whatever I read/watched, is still out there.

For some reason, I still think the name sounds stupid as hell, like, it should be Eternal Shadows instead. I don't know, it just doesn't flow well. It would be like Eternal Darkness being named Darkness of the Shadows.
Shadows of the Eternals hints at powerful entities (Eternals) leaving an impact (Shadows). If there are powerful entities the title 'Eternal Shadows' does not really serve the plot justice as it lacks the inclusion of the entities.

Or Lords of Shadow. But who'd think up a stupid name like that?

Hmm, I didn't know that. Still, whether the title is plot-fueled or not, it still doesn't roll off the tongue very well.

I thought the reason that the Shadow of the Eternals game was screwed over because they found out one of the guys who was making it had been accused of being a pedophile? Or something along those lines. It's all weird stuff. It's like the game was destined to just not happen.

I heard about that. Pretty disgusting.

The Kickstarter was doomed to fail anyway but they cancelled it themselves fairly soon after that.
I think it goes without saying that it's pretty messed up. Not just the situation, though that's clearly the worst part of it. But the fact that many people no longer have jobs because of it falling under.

What if you learn something in your dreams?
Dreams can't be trusted. I mean, sure it starts out with you waking up normally but then start fighting King Kong whilst in Mecha Godzilla getting back-up from Optimus Prime. Soon you find yourself in an island of pastries and super models in skimpy clothing. So at that point you begin to wonder if it's real.

Making video games isn't cheap. You should look at the breakdown for the cost of making a single character in Skullgirls.
A word to the wise, if you want to be taken seriously in a conversation, it's usually best to not needlessly insult people. Also, I asked why my opinion on Kickstarters was ****ty, nothing more nothing less, you are the one who misinterpreted, not myself. That, and giving details on a fighting game isn't the same as the overall costs for a platformer. Besides, if we were to look at overall platformer prices, let's look at Shantae: Half Genie Hero, a game with a huge open-world environment, all platform play, and added in bonuses, all for a little over 3/4 a million dollars. Mighty Number 9 ended with over 5x said amount at over 4 million dollars, and it took them 2.5 million dollars to put it out for all platforms...almost 4x as much as Half-Genie Hero made in total. You really going to look me in the eyes and tell me it takes 2.5 million dollars to make a platformer on all consoles? And that it takes 4 million to get an online race mode? It's a load of bull****.

Do we even care? I think that's a better question.

Anyone got some good topic to go over? I can't think of anything at the moment. Oh, well the weather still sucks, but that's a given.

Normally I can't tell whether my dreams are real or not until I wake up and realise Batman isn't in Brawl. But lately I've been realising my dreams are fake while I've been dreaming then. Coincidently the ones where that have happened involve me getting SSB4 and playing it.

I remember learning how to get to the last platform for Jiggs Board the Platforms in 64 through a dream. Weird huh?

I also learned of Samus' gender through dreaming. In the dream, my younger bro told me that Samus was a girl, and for months I thought it was reality until one day I told him about it. He didn't know what I was talking about and was shocked as hell.

Huh, that interesting. Most of the time I can control my dreams with no issue. I think they call it lucid dreaming. Though a few times where I'm in a deep sleep my mind wanders on it's own, though nothing too weird happens.
