Could be Capcom if they are hurting as bad as I am lead to believe.
@ Rare Discussion: Rare's legacy IP's may never be on a Nintendo platform, but a handful of the people that made Rare what it was are still with Nintendo. A handful of them are working on Rusty Pup, and by now a lot of people are aware of David Wise joining Retro.

Nintendo would be about guaranteed to gain more revenue if they got Rare back. They just need to storm M$ with guns blazing and peacefully negotiate the acquisition of some of Rare's IPs, if not the whole studio.
Just give me a new 3D platformer that at least plays like Banjo with Grant doing the music and I'll be fine. Come on Nintendo, you know what we want.

Really? haven't heard that one before but i thought FF D was only to the FF cast if that was true then wouldn't other games that square made introduce other charas? but also sora is a popular character

Also, what's this about Nintendo buying smaller companies? I doubt they would go for Sega though. What if they got Capcom? A few series were predominately on Nintendo systems. Like Megaman, Phoenix Wright, Viewtiful Joe and Ghost n' Goblins. The only ones that would be weird to see on Nintendo only are DMC and Street Fighter.
Then again, is Capcom a "small" company? It isn't the largest either, but still.

Okay, is anybody else experiencing a really weird glitch with the site where it displays a page completely empty? I noticed it about a half-hour ago on the Isaac Support Thread, but it just did me again here in the Social Thread on Pg. 1931 (and so I skipped the pages in-between and came right to the last page).

Hypothetical scenario: Sega merges with Nintendo and they buy Capcom.
Conclusion: Moar Sanic and other Sega characters plus more Capcom characters released as DLC for Smash. Everyone dies.

One thing that got me interested wast that Iwata said, "We'll offer discounts to steady, regular customers," when asked for strategies Nintendo will undertake. Sweet!

If it means we can get characters like Viewtiful Joe, Zero, Vyse, Gillius Thunderhead, Ryu, Ryo Hazuki, Jack Frost, Phoenix Wright.... then I'm all for it, actually. Just, be prepared for the Shadow and Hatsune Miku supporters, as I suspect they'll be the biggest and loudest fanbases for inclusion to the point of great annoyance.
