So if it got thrown at Lucario from the side he's facing then we wouldn't see it?Kind of bounces off them.

Hmm, by my testing, if a banana peel was thrown at him, he wouldn't trip forward like in the shot, he'd trip backward. So if it got thrown at Lucario from the side he's facing then we wouldn't see it?
http://kotaku.com/no-more-tripping-in-the-new-smash-bros-513187770 ...He did not actually say random tripping. People just think he implied it due to his tone. But who knows? Maybe he meant it. I hope he meant it, and I even think he did. But I nor anybody else knows what he meant, so... that's life.....I'm going to hope that it's because of an off-panel banana peel from a soon to be revealed Diddy and not because Sakurai lied about removing random tripping....
What if it was thrown from above?Hmm, by my testing, if a banana peel was thrown at him, he wouldn't trip forward like in the shot, he'd trip backward.
What if it's thrown towards his back? Would the banana peel have fallen far enough to have been hid on the screen?Hmm, by my testing, if a banana peel was thrown at him, he wouldn't trip forward like in the shot, he'd trip backward.
We would see that banana peel if that was the case.Perhaps I'm late into this conversation, but isn't it possible the banana was on the ground and he ran over it?
Same animation. From what I can tell, only the random tripping causes a forward slip. Forced tripping causes a backwards slip. What if it was thrown from above?
If thrown behind him, he will turn around, and do the backwards slip. What if it's thrown towards his back? Would the banana peel have fallen far enough to have been hid on the screen?
Another few options that I would suggest is that it's just at the beginning of the animation so the banana peel didn't fly up from the floor yet or there's a new item that does it.
Would we? Or is the screen shot taken at just the right angle to hide it?We would see that banana peel if that was the case.
****.Same animation. From what I can tell, only the random tripping causes a forward slip. Forced tripping causes a backwards slip.
Huh...I'd like to bring to attention the item near his feet which is blacked out... Perhaps it's a leaf, but it appears to have a stem much like a Banana's.
Maybe an invisible Zelda did it(inb4CloakingDeviceisback).Though, something interesting I found by testing Zelda's down-tilt (a move known to force tripping), in instances where the attack doesn't cause tripping, Lucario will occasionally keel over to the floor on his front paws as if he had the wind knocked out of him, then push himself up to recover.
This pic could be from that weak low attack damage animation.
No downpour of tears tonight... the trolls must be thirsty by now.
Also, if people think Sakurai is going to recognize Brawl's 6th anniversary after essentially ignoring Smash Bros 15th, there is going to be a downpour of tears tonight.
Why would he turn around if... Nevermind. If thrown behind him, he will turn around, and do the backwards slip.

To be honest, you may be on to something there...To make people scramble to find something, there is a reflection off of Dedede's crown. See if you can find Diddy in it.
Pretty sure the reflection is of Lucario's behind that Dedede is gonna clobbah. To be honest, you may be on to something there...
Snoop around....in his behind?Pretty sure the reflection is of Lucario's behind that Dedede is gonna clobbah.
But feel free to snoop around.
Never say "deep" and "King Dedede" in the same sentence again. ._.There does appear to be something reflected in King Dedede's crown, but I think that might be looking a little too deep into things.
Never say "deep" and "King Dedede" in the same sentence again. ._.
If anything, Lucario should give more reason for Mewtwo's return, considering that it dispels the (already idiotic) thought process that Lucario would be replaced "just like Mewtwo".I don't see why Lucario means no Mewtwo. Heck, I'd kinda like to see Mewtwo return, and I don't see Lucario as a threat. I'm still indifferent towards him, but I don't consider Mewtwo's chances hindered in any way. He was almost in Brawl after all.
Sweet expressions all around. Even MEGAMAN has em! Makes Brawl look soul-less in comparison. :D
I snooped. I'm pretty sure I saw Diddy Kong there, staring at a picture of Impa.Pretty sure the reflection is of Lucario's behind that Dedede is gonna clobbah.

I was still curious about something, so I looked through more of Lucario's animations and found something kinda funny.
So, the picture that everyone thought was tripping was nothing special, and the picture no one thought was special actually was tripping. Figures. This is one of Lucario's damage animations.
I was about to make a Mewtwo joke out of this but never mind, I think I've had enough for nowSums it up.
