I'm actually pretty excited to see how Yoshi's New Island turns out.

Considering we haven't gotten a Yoshi game in a very long time, I'm fine with it.

We just got some Mighty No. 9 screen shots. It's still in the alpha stages. But it looks good. In one screen shot we see an emblem for a burst of energy and one for a boot. I wonder what's so special about that boot. Maybe it makes Beck run faster. Or let's him jump higher. Just guessing. Either way, I guess I'm a little more interested than I already was.

Side note, I like the look of the health gauge. It's got a cool style to it, very similar to what Beck has on his arms and legs.

In stark contrast to the regrettable disappointment that is Yoshi's "New" Island, it appears the previews for the upcoming Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze are glowingly fantastic; in fact, dare I say, perhaps a foretelling proclamation for high-ranked quality we can fully expect from Retro Studios.

So far, Nintendo seems to be directing Tropical Freeze into the pathway of the rosy highroad, especially with the commendatory previews. I'd be considerably hard-pressed for Masahiro Sakurai to not commemorate the month of February without, at the very least, Donkey Kong-related material (pertaining to either stages, items, or a returning veteran in Diddy Kong/debuting newcomer in King K. Rool and/or Dixie Kong).

Though Meta Knight himself isn't in Triple Deluxe, his Mirror World counterpart on the other hand does. He's also the third Kirby boss to bleed (which could lead to an E+10 warning for Animated Blood in the West) in the series based on the new fight against him. He would be a better option of an alternate costume than Galacta Knight since the costume and weapon overall would be much easier to model.

Triple Deluxe looked like a boring Return to Dreamland 3D. It then proved itself unique with the modes and great new power ups.

Yoshi's New Island looked like a boring Yoshi's Island 3D. It still looks like that.

I think 3D World looked unappealing too, but it managed to prove itself. NSMB2 looked unappealing as well, and it also proved itself (and yes, it's less enjoyable then 3D World, but it wasn't terrible).

It's when he swipes his blade before the battle and before he split in three halfway through. Just a tiny splash compared to that hot mess called Zero.

Does anyone else think that Yoshi's New Island looks like a terrible game?

I consider Yoshi's Island one of the best Mario games of all time.

I also consider the fact that they are making sequels to it very convoluted and pointless, since the first game ended with them going back home.
See, there's a difference between avoiding a Linear storyline and doing things that doesn't make any bloody sense....

Well, that's kind of.....dumb. Was their really any point to that? I actually find Namco-Bandai to be the better name. It rolls off the tongue. Well, I still call them just Namco anyway.

Also the 3DS Yoshi game doesn't seen all that interesting. Even more so compared to the other platformers on 3DS. Might as well stick to Mario 3D Land and Kirby Triple Deluxe. But the Wii-U Yarn Yoshi, that one looks like it can offer something interesting. Since Yoshi seems to split between 2-D and 3-D models.

I loved the original yoshi's island, but the new one hasn't really popped out as something i'd want to get. Not like the new kirby has, anyway.

Nobody has reported Nintendo's stocks returning to normal, but it's something that should be known.

I was actually thinking of getting Yoshi's New Island, but then again I never played a Yoshi's Island game before so I can't actually offer a opinion on the rehashing. xD

But given Psycho's post about what IGN said about, I dunno. But it is IGN and I've never seen them as very reliable on game reviews.

I probably still won't get it anyway as there are other games I want a lot more anyway.

Earlier when I posted the Mighty No. 9 pictures. I should have mentioned one little thing that slipped my mind. Beck is seen grabbing ledges. If he can do that, it would be something really minor that's different from Mega Man. It doesn't seem all that huge, but it gives you a bit of an idea how the platforming can work for the game. The only 2-D platformer I can think of that used that style was the original Prince of Persia. And maybe Spider-Man and Batman games too.

Eh, not saying it's not important but as a fan of Nintendo I never saw the need to worry about stocks and their financial situation. I understand it's a big part of every console war but like I talk about with my friend fun video games are most important to me, I could care less who sold more units. You can't be completely oblivious to the stuff but yeah...fun first, playing pretend financial advisor later.

Though technically the new edge system gives a slight recovery buff.

Also since the game is assumedly having a more offensive style then Brawl, he can probably go back to being a more offensive force again.

F.L.U.D.D seems to travel a lot farther than in Brawl. If you look at Rosalina's trailer. Or in that Mario vs. Mega Man fight. Though I also want to see some cool changes for Mario. He's one of my favorites to play in Smash.

Yeah, that's it. Do you think it looks stronger? I think it does. But obviously I can't say whether that's the case. I hope it does damage.

Anyone see those ads for that animated movie "The Nut Job"? It seems like a complete clone of "Over the Hedge". Which was already a sub-par by the books movie with little to no stand-out qualities. Same premise, similar characters and the whole sha-bang. Then again I wouldn't have much hopes for an animated movie that came out in Janurary, which is just a dead zone for movies as in the U.S. But it has 100% less Bruce Willis, thus making it completely un-watchable for me.

I don't even know why I'm talking about it. Guess I'm bored.

Eh, I'm more interested in Mr. Peabody and Sherman (I think that was the boy's name). That looks like it will be fun as, well I was about to say hell but hell doesn't actually sound fun, so umm, how about, talking with Hades in the Underworld.

I remember something about Disney making a Maleficent movie, with Angelina Jolie. Can't say I'm extremely interested in a spin-off of one the classics. But I will say that the Big Hero Six movie has some potential. You would think that it wouldn't take this long for a Super Hero movie to be fully animated, but it did.

Y'know, I'd drop kick a dude for Marvel/Sony to make an animated film of Maximum Carnage.

Eh, ever since Disny took over Marvel I lost interest in cartoons of Marvel. I'm just going to stick with the live action stuff with Marvel. But then again I was never interested in super heroes all that much to begin with.

Angelina Jolie as Maleficent eh? The only movies I watched her in were Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Kung Fu Pandas, and Shark Tale. The last 2 don't really count since it was more of hearing her than watching here lol. That ought to be mildly interesting.
