I love Zelda 2 and quest 64

I suck Darknuts at Zelda II, but Quest 64 is beyond fun. Zelda II to my knowledge is still the least popular Nintendo-published Zelda game. Quest 64 never gained much popularity, but it does respectively have awesome gameplay, and one of the most interesting battle systems ever made.

On another note, I've been wishing to see Brian in Smash for ages. Of course, I know it won't happen unless Nintendo buys own the dead Quest 64 series from whoever owns it. He's a neat retro pick as well, being his last game was on the Game Boy Color.

However at least I could rest assured that you'd put a Digimon on the roster. I hate even saying it'd be Agumon, I would like him to just be "Digimon," lol.

Honestly, I bet The Johnknight1 could pitch some really good character moveset, skillset, and playstyle ideas to Sakurai and co.

I'm no expert, but man, I got a basic grasp of how a lot of characters could work, as well as how to make those engaging, interesting, and fun for the players.

However, The Johnknight1 is too busy defending the Ridley and Smash Boards World Championship Belts, with over 150,000 title defenses for each belt.

Truly The Johnknight1's cause is too great for Smash Brothers or Smash Boards to understand, comprehend, or relate to.

I would imagine you'd think Sakurai has the best tastes, since he **** on everyone's expectations and wants in favor of giving us something we didn't know we wanted. ISN'T THAT UP YOUR ALLEY? He doesn't like a boring roster any more than you do.

Like, yeah, I think I could make a roster that I know I would be happy with and that I think a lot of others would be happy with too, but even though I would strive for variety and interesting fighters, I wouldn't even SEE character like Miss Fit, and I would disregard Toon Link as trash even though I know people like him. I think Sakurai finds a good balance, though maybe I'm one of those Sycophants BKupa goes on about??

Well, nah. I think you could do a much better job in my eyes than him. Like, Smash as a whole has enough characters and stuff in it that I like so I would buy it regardless of the roster, but I do not really like WFT, Megaman, Little Mac, and Pac-Man. I mean, I like them alright if there was two of them on the roster, but we have four characters I'm so.. meh about. But I guess that's where playstyle and movesets come in. I'm sure I'll love WFT and Megaman the rest of them once I play as them

Each new smash game has gotten at least like a bagillion new franchises with content in Smash.

As for playable character, Johnknight1 would only pick from the most important characters from currently continuing IP's (and the most important characters from 3rd party companies and from lowly 1st/2nd party IP's). That would get you in the discussions, but ultimately, what gets a character in is whether they would be fun to play as, interesting, unique in regards to their playstyle(s), skillset(s), and moveset(s)/movepool(s) in the final game.

Basically, to heck with franchises or representatives, give us characters that are fun to play as.

Why do you care so much about what franchises characters are from=???

The Villager, Mega Man, and the Wii Fit Trainer look like amazing playable characters that are fun to play as and totally unique, which is ultimately what we want in newcomers.

Plus, having characters from major franchises like Animal Crossing, Mega Man, and Wii Fit (all of which have sold well over 20 million copies) characters from a marketing perspective will attract more users than say another Mario, Donkey Kong, or Zelda character.

I would pick like, 10 old franchise characters, and then three small franchises. U want dat Rildey, King K Rool, Dixie, Palutena, Toad, Junior, Goroh, Ghirahim, Tingle, Krystal goodness. I mean, I guess that's my personal preference though. I know a lot of people like Little Mac, Takamaru, Starfy, Isaac, ect. I mean, I like Shulk and Zael as much as the next guy, and the others are alright, but those two are the only stand outs to me. Well, and I guess W101 would be pretty cool.

Eh, most of the "big name" top tier playable characters from large franchises are playable... now including the Wii series (Wii Fit Trainer) and Animal Crossing (the Villager). The only two realllllly heavily demanded Nintendo characters are K. Rool and Ridley.

Of course, things will change around the time the next smash bros game(s) are around the corner.

I would like Little Mac A LOT more if he was a kickboxer instead of a boxer. That is because kickboxing is a better and more exciting sport. So hardcore.

From a marketing standpoint they introduce new audiences. I wasn't too big on the Villager, but man, he looks awesome to play as.

Opening yourself up to characters like that is great. I thought Lucas was a terrible idea and a terrible character pre-Brawl, but man, I now love him as both!

To be honest, it's hard to feel bad for him when his reasons are really poor for Toad. None of those really make sense. He knows Toad is a major Mario character. Some other guy not in the game can do it too? Really? Come on, let's be realistic, that's just lame.

Bowser Jr. is a bit different, since he actually has similarities to Bowser, and outside of his Paintbrush isn't that different from him. That bothers me less. I mean, my choices are still Bowser Jr./Shadow Mario and Toad for Mario reps, but still.

I don't really feel strongly about any Mario newcomer at this point. I'd much rather Kamek as a Yoshi rep, or even a Wario rep.
