DEEP INTO THE HEART OF THE BATTLE HE FOUGHT. COVERED ON ALL SIDES AS ALL CONVERGED ON THEM, UNTIL THE AURASAGE COULD NO LONGER BE SEEN. AS TIME PASSED I FEARED HIM CAUGHT, THEN SLOWLY THE TRAINERS SEPARATED, MANY POKEMON WERE CAPTURED. I SAW THE LUCARIO. HE WAS DOWN ON ONE KNEE, ALL STOPPED TO WATCH AND GAZE
UPON HIM WITH A SMILE OF VICTORY BEFORE PREPARING TO CAPTURE HIM. THEN HE ROSE UP TO MAKE A FINAL STAND. WITH HIS LAST BIT OF HEALTH HE ROSE HIS ARMS INTO THE AIR AURA EMERGING FROM HIS BLACK PAWS AND BLUE BODY. HE CALLED UPON THE ALPHA AND PREPARED TO BE CAPTURED.

BUT ARCEUS WOULD NOT ALLOW THE AURASAGE TO BE BEATEN SO SOON, INSTEAD HE SENT THUNDER AND LIGHTNING TO STRIKE THE GROUND, BESTOWING UPON HIM THE ONE GIFT EVERY WILD POKEMON LIVES IN HOPE OF – THE UNCATCHABLE HAX!

NOW FILLED WITH THAT POWER, THE CAPTURE RATE OF A THOUSAND MEWTWOS WAS GIVEN HIM. NO LONGER CATCHABLE HE WERE TOUCHED BY THE GODS. THIS TIME WHEN THEY TRIED TO CAPTURE HIM, POKE BALLS FAILED NOT BY TENS, BUT BY HUNDREDS, BY THOUSANDS. AND WHEN THE TRAINERS RAGEQUITTED, THE AURASAGE LAUGHED HIS MASS OFF, AND GRABBED A PEPSI

...On his own stage. That's how his game works. However, I think it's a different scenario since tons of Game & Watch games have multiple Game & Watches themselves, so... it made a lot more sense in the actual series.

It makes less sense for two Links with the Toon design to show up in one game(not counting costumes, obviously).

But that also proves that people ultimately should not have assumed Toon Link was going away.

I feel the same way. I actually used to defend him every day. It was so surprising to me that people couldn't tell that he was Wind Waker Link (thus making the ST Link irrelevant). Luckily Sakurai is spelling it out this time around. He is actually my co-main. The nerfs to Link were too much for my poor heart to handle. So I had to move on to Toon Link. I am happy that we can leave that stupidity behind as much as the next guy. I just get a lot more of the Jigglypuff negativity because I am so overt about my adoration of the character. It isn't as in your face to other people I suppose.

Yeah, I believe the fact that the Link in that stage wasn't wearing the same clothes as Toon Link as well as the fact that that Link was an entire different person that gave me the hope that Toon Link could still make it into the game. Not to mention the fact that Sakurai did something like this before with similar characters but completely separate entities. (75m Donkey Kong and the SSE R.O.B.'s).

Besides it wouldn't make sense to hint on a character cut as soon as the first trailer where you are meant to hype everyone up. :/ But oh well, what happened, happened. Toon Link is back and I'm happy. Now all I'll be doing now is wait for Mewtwo and hope if any of my supported newcomers will make it in.

I don't think there is any Jigglypuff trophy stage Event. There is one for a Goomba and the Entei and Majora's Mask you mentioned.

Jiggly isn't going anywhere. She's one of the original 12, and she was beastly in Melee. All because she got gimped in Brawl and thus lost what popularity she had, people want her gone.

Some people act like the 3 games she has been in (all as an unlockable character) and 13 and a half years of inclusion means nothing. It is a common argument for people to attempt and rationalize that Sakurai's inconsistent precedent some how alludes to her removal as a character. After Toon Link was revealed they stopped that illogical reasoning. I think that her Fairy Type isn't a big deal, but it does give her the relevancy she didn't have going from Melee to Brawl. Being a part of the original 12 in Brawl wasn't a big deal. It has been awhile since then though. The act of Sakurai putting her in the game (Brawl) in the first place demonstrates that despite her low priority, she was still important enough to add.

Lets not even get into the notion that she is one of the EASIEST characters to develop.

The Smash community here seems to be much more rabid than the Smash guys on my channel. Besides, I get enough hate on YT from the Ridley video alone, one source of hate is satiable enough lol.

I can go in there right now and say "Hi guys, I don't think Ridley could work in Smash." and I'll have iron sights aimed at my head.

Honestly dude, the only reason people get upset by that is because they think the "Ridley it too big argument" is a bit of a cop out, and not really a valid point. I can totally understand when people think he may be excluded for other reasons and what not, in addition to thinking he would look awkward with a re-size, but if the only basis of your anti-Ridley argument is, "he is too big" and that's it, then that's when there's a problem.

He wasn't really kicked out. Only Pichu was of the playable cast. He has data in Brawl.

He was just low priority over the Original 12 and newer characters, that's all.

This exactly. This is what really happened in the end. Characters had higher priority over him.

Pichu definitely was kicked out. There was no plans for him to come back from what could be found. No interviews, no data.

Also, there's one other character that was planned for Brawl, but never made it into the data that we legitimately know of. Villager. Sakurai even said he thought about putting him into Melee at one time. Which is why we got so much Animal Crossing stuff and the main reason we got a stage.
