Super Smash Bros 4 (Wii U/3DS) Topic

FE Wii U-stage makes me very curious. I guess we might get a stage based on Marth's world finally OR Ike's.

Most least (but to me most wanted) would be a stage based on Jugdral-games (FE4-FE5). Or at least PLEASE REMIX THE MUSIC

The KI 3DS stage looks really awesome. I hope the 3DS stages get released as DLC or something for the Wii U version, I'd hate to miss out on all these slick creations.

Even with the different games getting stages based on handhelds/consoles, I can't see series like KI, Pokemon, FE, or any other series that recently has had most of their impact solely on portables not get a stage on the Wii U version as well... it would just feel like a huge omission. Same with like... Metroid or other primarily console-based series on the 3DS.

I'm still expecting a stage for every series (or at least major series) on both versions of the game.

I'm still holding out for something from Radiant Dawn for the Wii U stage. Preferably something with the Greil Mercenaries Fighting the Dawn Brigade in the back. Really, any stage with that will be perfect for me.

Battle Revolution, Colosseum, XD, Pokepark 1 & 2, Stadium 1 & 2, Hey You Pikachu, Pokemon Channel, Mystery Dungeon (thanks to the WiiWare games in Japan)... Pokemon actually has quite a bit.

Well the first couple Fire Emblem games ( I think the first 5) were on the NES-SNES, and the most recent FE game like Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn were on the Gamecube and Wii. The very first Kid Icarus game was on the NES-SNES. Which I guess we can consider home console systems.

As for the Pokemon series, I'm sure they'll be fine with games like Pokemon Stadium, Colosseum, Rumble, Revolution, and possibly Snap??? that they can pull level ideas from.

I would LOVE to see something from XD or Colosseum, but that's rather unlikely, since Nintendo/Game Freak haven't really acknowledged them all that much(possibly because they weren't made by Game Freak).

Yes, Sakurai can (and likely will) pull from older titles for most series, I was just saying while the focus for some might be on portable/console, I don't think that will necessarily stop the other from getting the occasional stage based on a game not on it's type of system. Though all the major series have been on both console and portable at one time or another, so... who knows.

I want an Uprising stage on Wii U too. Embarrass

I think it'd be cool if we had a stage in Lanayru Desert from Skyward Sword.

The music would change along with the backround of the stage, as well as the platforms and hazards.

I think it would be cool if they reverse engineered the Super Smash Bros series and made an 8-bit version of Smash. Just for novelty sake.

As for console Fire Emblem stages I think we'll end up seeing Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn Stages for the console versions. (Which will hopefully help Ike's chances of returning)

Yea, but if they both have the same stages and content, a lot of gamers won't feel the need to get both versions.

It really makes me wonder how things like secret character fights, Classic, and All-Star will turn out.

Also, if the 3DS doesn't have the necessary power to essentially run the engine of the same game on the Wii U and would hinder the content for Wii U or butcher itself for more space, would Sakurai even bother developing for it?

Any environment from any of the Prime games (with the exception of Hunters and Pinball) would be far more interesting than any area from Other M.

Actually, the environments from Hunters were also far more interesting than Other M.

That's actually pretty cool looking.

It's a good thing they didn't actually try to make something like that during the actual 8-bit era.

Other M was an abomination that should be forgotten entirely (the wound is only worse when you remember that Sakamoto doesn't consider the Prime series canon, that asshole...).

I'd guess that what is selected for stages would be from either what is very old or from what is most recent, not anything more much from anything in between if at all possible.

And don't try to convince me the game sucks, I won't have an opinion on it until I play it myself.

This, so much this. I'm really tired of all the "OTHER M IS AN ABOMINATION PRIME ALL THE WAAY" and "SSTICKER STAR HAS NO PARTY TTD IS THE BEST" and Melee to an extend, but I'm not stupid enough to bring that up here... Oh wait, yes I am.

Sadly some people think this was a bad idea, and changed Samus's charactere drastically and in a bad way.

At least, from what I've heard, that's what causing a lot of Other M hate.

I'll just wait and see what the game is like.

The gameplay was meh. Yeah, the engine was drastically different from something like Super Metroid. Terrible first Metroid for me to start with.

Other than that, they made Samus's monologue sound like a whining emo.

Of course the engine was different. Other M is 3D, Super Metroid is 2D and a sidescroller.

I still refuse to listen to anything anyone says about the game until I play it myself.

That's a commendable attitude and I wish more people would think that way rather than following the mainstream.

But Other M still sucks, Prime is a much better game in every way. You'll see once you play it, especially if you're coming from Super Metroid and Prime. If it's gonna be your first Metroid game, start with Zero Mission, Fusion, or Prime, and then play Other M last, trust me.

Sakurai himself said Melee was his magnum opus because of the effort he put into it.

I haven't played Sticker Star yet so I can't give my own opinion on it, but TTYD is incredibly charming.

And Other M is easily the worst entry in the Metroid franchise. It takes away the exploration and solitude that built the series and it tried to become this boring action packed narrative that basically revolves around Samus going around, being useless and crying like a little *****. Really think about it, in the context of the narrative, Samus wasn't even necessary. And lets not even get into the gameplay elements. You can't seriously play the refined game that was Prime and then go play Other M and tell me you think Other M is better, or at least a worthy of sharing the spotlight.

It's like comparing a Vanilla Creme Brulee to Skittles an saying the Skittles are just as good. No, they're not. Not if you have taste at least.

The best part of Phendrana Drifts was the music. The environment was awesome too, but there are so many memorable areas that it's hard to settle for just one. So I can settle for having Skytown which would make for a neat stage to fight in, and having the Phendrana Drift music play in that stage.

Look, I don't really understand why you would still say that. Not everyone thinks it sucks, I might be among them. Your views aren't the same as everyone else.
