Not trying to change your mind though, it just really bugs me, it starts great and then bam, that high pitched chorus is what takes me off completely, I usually turned off the volume every time I battled team flare. : /

Why can I imagine that? :laugh:

I actually do the opposite and crank it up, but I know what you mean, the harmony is a little dissonant, so it can get irritable. I wouldn't mind if it didn't get in the game, I just thought it was a good idea at first.

Do you guys think this may point to a Kirby's Air Ride stage? Were they remixes or not?
A KAR stage one of those things I'm really confident about for no apparent reason.

I'd like to hear more medleys! It keeps repetition down, often filling out a song so that a single loop is at least 2 minutes, ideally; and it allows for tunes to appear that might not otherwise get their own track. And concision, concision. So here are some ideas I had for medleys/mashups:

  • Final Bowser themes from Super Mario Galaxy and SMG 2. They start similarly, so it isn't hard to imagine how they'd connect.
  • Punch-Out!! themes: fighting, jogging and player-down. In fact, I think the Wii Punch-Out!! already did something like this, though the "Little Mac Down" jingle is often left out of what I'm seeing on YouTube.
  • Splash Hill Zone, Sonic the Hedgehog 4. All three acts have short but equally charming synthesizer music, so why not stitch them together? It was already done for one of the Olympic games: Right here!
  • The last one that occurs to me is Pokemon X and Y's gym leader theme and the "Successor Korrina" theme. The latter is essentially a remix of the former, except with the lead taken out, which I think would make a good "verse 2" before looping back over.
