Super Jump is now a lot more viable

The Super Jump, as most of you know, is a way to use our double jump twice by using a DJAD from the ground when already in the air or our of a DR-like button input (just press shield instead of attack in the input). Most people think it isn't very viable in a match because you have to set it up, but I've found a few more ways to use it and I've busted an old theory about it that I don't think was disproved till now.

As for the theory, it was that the Super jump can only be used once. Once being one DJAD from the ground and one extra double jump. I actually DJAD'd twice to get a total of three super jumps at a time. That isn't as important, but I guess it could help some.

The biggest thing I found today, though, is that you can full hop to Super jump on smashville's platform, which is a really nice fit with pretty easy timing. You can even Full hop Uair from the ground and then hit the Super Jump, which gives a total of about 6 Uairs in one go with that hang time. Something I've found really nice is that you can Get a nice running start after that awesomely placed fsmash from the opposite side, then full hop, super jump off of the platform which is on the other side, then double jump again, with which you can actually kill yourself by jumping into the corner. I'm saying nobody should be able to live after an fsmash on this stage you can get this down and finish with a rising nair (supposing the other player doesn't airdodge). Another thing is that after super jumping off the platform near the edge, you can do like 4 bairs off the screen and egg toss back to the stage. This also works on other platforms, but SV's works the best. BF's low platforms will do this if you use Nair and Fair also, due to them being a lot lower, and YI's platform will let you do just about anything with it since it always changes.

I think this makes the move a LOT more viable and much less situational now since at SV, BF, YI, and basically anywhere with decent platforms, you can just use this straight off the ground without even having to set anything up

Just another day.
Nice find, although I'm betting that the second "super jump" you did was already founded and claimed as the infinite jump (the thread is somewhere in the tactical boards).

No, this is different from the infinite jump. IIRC infinite jump where you end an aerial before you hit the ground and jump again, whereas this is just all timing with the DJAD.

DJAD and DJatk give the same thing when you time it right. This is of course when you're in the air, landing towards the ground. So if you're talking about something else, then my mistake.

I talking about the super jump which is when you hit DJAD right before you hit the ground which gives you another DJ to use after the first one.

well the airdodge is done right after you double right above the ground, whereas the aerial for the infinite jump is done right before and must be completed in order to regain the second jump...

nice find, however, i don't think it needed an entire thread on its own. XD
at least people will see it though. =)

:yoshi: You know, I was reading the first paragraph and thinking to myself, "I wonder what could make this more viable."

The idea of platforms came to my head, but I was like, "Dude...no effin way."

And now I'm like...

..."way."

I already knew about the platforms for BF, but I never considered using Smashville's platform before. Good idea. This can really help with high-recovering Snakes. :)

I already know this in his full potential (I'm messing arround with it from time to time)

you can use this in many ways but you need a tremendous among of techskill =P

Super Jump Waveland at the top platform of Battlefield is nice but its hard to do because of some frame exceptions.
Full Hop Super Jump at some plattforms.

its nice to do and makes you more mobil because you jump high and have your jump left.

well everything helps, so this is a good thing ;D
