If anything, as I have said, Sora is #1 on my "Dear God, Do Not Ever Put This Guy in the Freaking Game!" list. I've played a few Kingdom Hearts games, because I want to have a logical argument against him, but I never beat any of them besides RE:Coded, and I actually do not have any emotional attachment to Sora. The original hook of the first two games were "Final Fantasy Meets Disney!", and Sora was just a creation for the player to explore this mish-mash. Even if you remove both those assets and explore the remaining details, it's a very confusing story about an old guy wanting to use "Kingdom Hearts" for universal domination, his henchmen who, turns out, can be easily replicated, and since all the games that make the story fleshed out were originally confined to portables, it was easy to forget about them hadn't it been for the PS3 Remixes.
I've, in the past, compared Sora to a "Mary Sue", because the plot of the early games made him the centerpiece of everything where Sora was the end all, be all, and the attempts to diminish that viewpoint, such as how the TWEWY's main hero looks down on Sora as a "softie", and KH III trying to emphasize that Sora won't be able to do it all have barely diminished this look.
Over in general discussions about Ultimate, I made a thread arguing how one reacts to earnest desires for Goku to be in the game, and the comments I agree with were pointing out a rare instance of a "slippery slope fallacy" being correct. As Kingdom Hearts is so Disney-oriented to where you have a hard time remembering the true story, Sora also is the other "slippery slope" character in this scenario, because once Sora gets in, Disney characters will get in, and after that, people will demand Batman, and things just fall apart for discussions.
TL:DR; I just don't want a big budget MUGEN.
