If true then Nintendo has bigger plans then we the last trademark has told us. By the way, nothing of substantial value was found while I looked through the Golden Sun trademark (the one I posted).

Music files received and saved using the internet seems consistent with both Sakurai's statement that the soundtrack is downloadable. At bare minimum, we still exist. If we count downloadable YouTube songs, it's a hopeful indicator.

Program for commercial TV game machine is for the Switch, no question. Cartridges and storage mediums are super interesting, if it was just VC they have no need for anything like that. This makes me think we have more to us.

The various smart phone programs seems not to indicate mobile Golden Sun. Seems something different entirely.

As a whole, the trademark actually seems non-routine. I'd go into it more but can't rn, but anyone thinking differently from this?

Could it just be a way for nintendo to stop downloads via emulators? I hope not at the very least.

Ok so, regarding this whole copyright thing, from what I can see it’s covering all the bases.

Physical copies of Golden Sun (cartridges and storage medium).

It also covers digital forms of Golden Sun. Digital downloads, essentially.

It also covers the music.

As well as the stuff regarding smart phones.

We can rule out this meaning that there will be a mobile GS as it’s covering more than just mobile. It’s cobering physical and digital versions as well.

It’s interesting, but until we can compare it with other trademarks made by Nintendo I don’t think we should take this as confirmation of a new GS. It’s important that we keep a leveled head and do more digging.

It is setup to both protect Nintendo's ownership of the Golden Sun franchise and cover all bases on how Nintendo sees fit to use Golden Sun.

In other words, it is worded to both harm potential piracy and is broad enough to allow Nintendo to do anything they wish to the franchise regarding:

• Porting Golden Sun and TLA to Nintendo Online Service/Eshop channel
• Provide a lee-way to disrupt all piracy of Golden Sun
• Allows Nintendo to make Golden Sun Phone Cases and/or shut down any manufacturer wanting to profit off of unauthorized Golden Sun phone cases.
• Allows Nintendo to make a Nintendo Switch cartridge based version if they so wish.

The idea of getting the Golden Sun games on a "GBA Mini" is actually pretty exciting.

Personally a GBA Mini and/or N64 Mini would be the first mini consoles I'd actually consider buying.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cherish knowing how many people had to eat crow the moment “KING K. ROOL COMES ABOARD!” came on screen.

you know i probably will have that feeling if isaac is in

its annoying to hear the popularity/relevancy thing because its not just an insult to isaac. its because its indirectly saying

captain falcon, mr game and watch, ice climbers, etc. are non needed and a waste of space

or even worse

it implies things like custom robo do not deserve a sequel. its a very darwinistic approach to newcomers or games in general. im glad we're in a year of remake/sequels for things like megaman, devil may cry, shenmue, metroid, streets of rage, soul calibur, samurai shodown, and more.

A spokeperson told ...Kotaku iirc something like "There are currently no plans to bring classic games together under the Virtual Console banner as has been done on other Nintendo systems". As they're using the online system as a "virtual console" over time I think.... but I'm not 100% sure.
