I'm not a fan of Isaac or Golden Sun. That being said, I do hope that he's in this game just so history could be made once more and to please his fanbase.

That's honestly the biggest problem with Isaac at this point: with the only virtual console release being on the Wii U, you can hardly blame younger Nintendo fans for having never played or even heard of Golden Sun. An Isaac reveal alongside Golden Sun and the Lost Age ports to Switch would be ideal, but I'm afraid that's a bit of a reach right now.

As a Floridian, I look at hurricane projections always expecting them to hit florida at some point... Irma brought tornados to my area last year and pulled 100+ pound limbs off of pine trees and flung them around at 100 mph. Stay safe carolina bros

I know that feel... My street floods so every summer/early fall my family and our neighbors prepare for splashing each other's lawns with nasty water
But during hurricanes the street is pretty much unusable by cars

Charleston, SC forecast has actually improved substantially since the evacuation order went out: expectation is 1-4 inches of rain and tropical storm winds, which is honestly no big deal. Still taking the opportunity to visit family in Atlanta, but looks like I can worry a little less about the storm and continue speculation on the rescheduled Direct.

That's fair. I'm definitely a fan of modern FE (see Lucina symbol), so really my only gripe would be the focus on a 2019 game.

How are they lower? How does this change Isaac's chances to appear in Smash? Unless, they delay/cancel the game (Highly unlikely I know) or they announce something for the game that lowers its value somehow, I don't see how this lowers hope.

It used to not be a waifu simulator. Just play any of the ones from the Gamecube and before. Although Echoes would be decent too as it's just a remake of FE2 I think?
It's just my pessimism at play. Plus enough time has probably passed in the case that they needed or wanted to change what was featured in it in some form.
I dunno. Maybe I'm just used to being disappointed..

I am sorry. Personally I am blown away with Smash Ultimate. After Smash 4 I had a feeling that all future Smash games would be structured the same way, so when Smash was set to appear at E3 I was preparing for disappointment. Now with every character returning plus many characters I wanted (Ridley, Inkling, K. Rool, Dark Samus) finally here, this feels like a dream to me. I know many people still have not gotten characters they want so not everyone is as hyped as I am. Try to stay positive, my friend.

I have gathered around 30 songs altogether so I think that should be enough. I'm still going to make a poll but that will go up after Isaac is hopefully confirmed. We are going to also select songs based on a mix on how well they fit in certain aspects of the video and the popularity in the polls

I'm in a similar boat. The idea of a new Smash with literally every previous playable character returning is still crazy to me, and the new characters have been pretty great all around so far. Heck, I'm even a little excited by the prospect of starting with the tiny N64 roster and having it expand to possibly 80+ as you play the game, not to mention whatever Spirits mode might be. Obviously I'm still hoping for playable Isaac to make the game truly "ultimate," but even without it's liable to be my favorite game of the year.

Yes, Echoes lacks those elements. Its also a good game and the art is beautiful. Only Awakening, Fates, and the Heroes mobile game play up the waifu stuff. The new game, 3 Houses, looks like it will follow in Echoes's path and lack the pandering dialogue. I'm pretty excited for it.
Metal Gear actually has the same problem, though its a larger franchise. "If I wanted to watch a movie I would go on Netflix", "Oh you mean Cutscene Gear Solid ", "lol I have to watch metal gear to play it right", etc.

Just tried to log onto the eshop on my switch and I got a message saying servers are under maintenance. I might be looking too much into this but do you guys think they could be adding something smash related? Like possibly an info page or Smash Ultimate or something like that?

There was maintenance announced yesterday, I believe. I'd assume it's all prepping for the inevitable Thursday or Wednesday Direct (I'm pretty confident we'll be getting it before the weekend at least)

On the subject of the Nintendo Direct. Even if they edit the Direct it should still have a lot of content. It was originally going to be 35 minutes long. Even if you take out everything that has been announced since the delay, that feels like it will only lose roughly 5 minutes (or less).
They will still likely bring up Pokemon and Megaman 11 the only difference will be that those sections will be shorter. Even then they may say something like "did you know that the demo for Megaman 11 is available right now?" Sure it is information that is already out there but they can still bring it up. I think people are overreacting to how much it will be changed.

It's not really that I'm disappointed with the game right now. I'm pretty impressed so far. It's kind of a...side effect of being anxious and being depressed at the current moment. Sorry for that. I don't mean to be negative.
