I was thinking, with regards to Isaac’s possible moveset, that he should be as simple as possible. No Djinn with the exception of something I’ll discuss later. I might as well post my move set speculation/desire here since I haven’t done so since joining this forum.

Normal attacks: simple sword strikes.

Smash attacks: either stronger sword strikes or my personal preference, using Force and other various “hand” Psynergies to smack the foe.

Down Special: Earthquake/Gaia
Isaac violently shakes the ground dealing minor amounts of damage over time for a few seconds. Foes caught in this are stuck in place. After a few seconds Earthquake turns into Gaia, dealing a burst of damage with minor launching capabilities. If Isaac takes any damage that would cause him to flinch during this, it cancels it.

Up Special: Retreat
Isaac dispersed into energy that can be controlled.


Side Special(charge): Growth/Spire
Charge 1: Isaac creates a small field of plants that latch onto enemies in front of him. Enemies can escape with repeat button presses.
Charge 2: Isaac Summons a large stone spire that comes crashing down in front of him. Contacting will break it apart, causing lesser damage on either side of the spire.

Neutral Special: Move
essentially Brawls AT, but with less range.

Grab: Catch
A range grab and can even grab ledges from a distance.

FS: Judgement
Isaac Summons Judgement causing a large AoE explosion. Isaac uses his Djinn to summon Judgenent, but instead of using Djinn for different levels of smashes I thought it’d be better for the flow to simplify it. Isaac doesn’t have to use his Djinn to put them in standby. But when he uses Judgement he becomes weaker (losing the stat bonuses from his Djinn). The Djinn recharge over time. If he uses his FS at any point before all 4 are ready he’ll use Ragnarok instead (If Felix makes it in he’d use Odyssey instead).

Just a thought.

I think an interesting alternative to Isaac using Djinn would be to have them as an item instead.

Maybe you could summon the basic Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Mars summons by picking up a Djinn and using it on an opponent.

It would be similar to the orbs on the Midgar stage except when you "pick them up" they'd just float over your head until you used them.

Instead of Judgement, I would like to see Iris instead because I would like the final smash like Ness's final smash so they can include Garet, Ivan and Mia with Isaac to unite their djinn and summon Iris.

Then if Felix is a echo, then his Iris summon would include Jenna, Sheba and Piers.

Basically Iris would be like Pit's old final smash with Palutena in the backround except with solar beams raining from the sky instead of guys flying around bumping into everybody.

So in the latest direct there is some footage of the Camelot angle during ratholos boss battle.Interesting because they showed multiple angles and this was a boss fight with 1 single character and sakurai's post had multiple characters so he really went out of his way to capture it that way.

First I've heard of this. Everything he posted prior implied he didn't know for sure K. Rool was in, just that he speculated based on the info he had.

If they were drip feeding them false information, they shouldn't have told them about K. Rool.

The rumor going around is low level Nintendo employees are given some true information when needed, but are also given different tidbits of false information so they can catch leakers. If anyone did get information of a real character they may also have received information on something that was fake. Obviously some people need to know specific information, such as if they have to test or translate dialogue for a character.

He got a lot of E3 stuff right (the fact that every character was coming back, character moveset specifics, etc), a Direct in August, and K. Rool. I think he did know about Ridley? But I might be misremembering on that one.

If you own a Wii U, you can buy the games off eShop. Otherwise, you either emulate or use actual cartridges.

Why Nintendo didn't bother porting the GBA Virtual Console to Switch but will drag out NES titles for Online is beyond me.

So I know that we all want Isaac in smash, but I m curious to know if you all could pick any other gaming character, regardless of what system they were on or liscensing issues etc.,to also get in who would it be and why?

I would say Gunstar Red and Blue from the Gunstar Heroes game for Genesis.
They are set up pretty well to be transferred to a fighting game with various kicks, punches, and throws. As well as 4 different bullet options to use as attacks. Homing shot, laser, flamethrower, and force shot. These can also be combined to create unique shots. Example flame and force creates large balls of energy that explode on contact. Flame and laser creates a lightsaber looking energy stream that can block projectiles. They would be very unique compared to other fighters already in the game. And they have 2 great designs that could be alternate costumes.

Raz from Psychonauts. Psychonauts is just my all-time favorite game and I think all the Psychic powers would make for an amazing moveset.

But i doubt they were doing it in this instance.

Do people have a reason for thinking there could be any truth in this? It kind of sounds like a wacky conspiracy theory to me.

Usually fake information has to be specific to that person. Labeling some employees by giving them different fake information, then BAM! You are able to know who leaked the info.


Usually these kinds of practices are done to ensure security and test trust among employees.


You see how Verge doesn't seem to leak that many characters unless he's really sure of it? (Or if he's speculating.)

KMDP Geez, the old Brawl topic. I just read the last few pages, and geez I rejected any chance of the final Brawl roster leak as being real. It was a very depressing time as a Smash fan.

That reminds me, both in Brawl and SSB4, the final leaks were very odd and questionable in the beginning, and not from leakers we had considered credible all along. I remember the SSB4 final roster leak was actually posted in images, and everyone tore it apart as being PhotoShopped. Lol.

I think it would be nice if Sakurai would get to reveal the rest of the characters to us for the first time instead of being revealed in one of these leaks which brings so much controversy to the fandom. I like how Sakurai revealed so many characters in the last Direct. It kind of shows he's not playing around this time.

No, low-level NOA employees do not know anything to weed out leakers. As one of my buddies who works for NOA stated to me
"This game has been pretty under wraps" to which I asked "You would assume that the leakers are pretty much fake" with him replying "Yeah, I would"


I am going to assume Loz go his info from the E3 demo.

i mostly got spoiled by those ESRB leaks. And Youtubers put them on their thumbnails...

KMDP Geez, the old Brawl topic. I just read the last few pages, and geez I rejected any chance of the final Brawl roster leak as being real. It was a very depressing time as a Smash fan.

That reminds me, both in Brawl and SSB4, the final leaks were very odd and questionable in the beginning, and not from leakers we had considered credible all along. I remember the SSB4 final roster leak was actually posted in images, and everyone tore it apart as being PhotoShopped. Lol.

I think it would be nice if Sakurai would get to reveal the rest of the characters to us for the first time instead of being revealed in one of these leaks which brings so much controversy to the fandom. I like how Sakurai revealed so many characters in the last Direct. It kind of shows he's not playing around this time.

It's funny that the Brawl roster leak was met with much dread seeing as how much I love it. Of course, seeing as I had no expectations and was never part of the speculative community, I had nothing to be disappointed about.

I hadn't considered Isaac for Smash until after I had seen him as an Assist Trophy, and then I accepted it for what it was at the time.

The complete and utter lack of Isaac in Sm4sh inciting my full support.

I think you guys are missing something very important here... his taunts. What would they be?

I can see one of the taunts being the animation and sound effect when setting a djinn in battle, nothing crazy but it would be neat

Same, I've known about golden sun since at least a year before brawl was released and I still didn't even think for a second that Isaac would be represented in smash

Wow finally managed to catch all those pages (more than 20) and well I fall in the fake "leaks" you've created like the venus lighthouse song ahah

Then like everybody said, now more than never is Isaac's best chance. I the first too don't want to put my hopes too high to not be disappointed back to smash4 era which was difficult to live. Yes we don't know yet if Isaac might be in or not. But we are the voice of Isaac, if us the fans don't believe in his chances then it's over. We don't want to be like "if only we had made that, if only we spoked more of Isaac etc." Like we say in French "We can remade the world with ifs". Well before this thread even if I was positive til the end of smash 4 for Isaac's chances this time I have the feeling that this is it. He is going to make it. Sakurai more than never should have known about Isaac's popularity back in Smash 4. He MUST know now that the Isaac's fan base is here and ask for him I'm sure he does, he couldn't have seen that huge chain reaction about the rathalos picture, even if this picture could bring us to nothing Sakurai. IS. Aware about Isaac.

If we let our positive influence go down it would result in an useless battle. Come on guys let's "March forward with determination!" until the very end. I won't stop to support Isaac until he is in the game or until we know for sure it's not going to happen. Do not let the anti Isaac people, leakers, doubters speak for you. We have to Reveal to the others we control the Move of our Golden Boy!

I'd say he has. I mean we've gotten characters even if they weren't highly requested. Isaac and Geno are next in line if they are to be added as characters, if not as an AT.

Geno and Isaac man...I got ridley and dark samus, but my dream roster would be complete with those 2 (I want crono pretty badly too but it's not happening)

On a completely unrelated note, since Diablo 3 is coming to the switch how would you guys feel about a blizzard character as dlc, like someone from diablo or overwatch?
