I'm going to try a lower-mid tier tournament. Anyone interested?

The allowed characters are:

Samus
Falcon
Yoshi
Jigglypuff
Link
Ganondorf
Bowser
Pokemon Trainer
Ike
Shiek
Sonic
Lucas


Allowed stages are FD, Battlefield, Yoshi's Island, Delfino Plaza, Hanenbow, Corneria, both Pokemon Stadiums, Brinstar, Norfair,

Sets before final four will be best of five; sets during and after final four are best of three, with each particpants playing remaining opponents. If a participant goes undefeated in that round, he will be given a won win advantage over the second best player of that round in the championship. Championship will be best of seven.

Three stocks, twelve minute limit, and no items are the settings.

First match is automatically FD, with the losers picking each of the next stages.

Tournament starts when we have 32 players.

"Official" tier lists aren't inherently reliable, to me.

Vic, in my mind Marth is one of the five worst defensive characters. He moves like Bowser and has a lot of lag after several attacks.

Heck, I play Marth pretty frequently--and I'm a very conservative player--and it's hard to not eat up damage when playing him, as opposed to Falcon, Shiek, Ness, and Samus ( some of my other competitive characters), who move quickly.

This is trial/ test-based "tiers".

I really like the idea. Remove DK and Marth though.

I understand that they're pretty high on most people's list, but I find it takes a LOT of precision, and pretty much just more focus and probably pure talent to win with those two than it does with close characters like Lucario, Peach ( who requires a lot of skill, but she's naturally very technical and has that advantage over everyone except maybe MK), Lucas, Shiek, etc.

I'm can be pretty darn good with Marth and play a competitive DK, but I know I can ONLY win if I play my best, unlike other characters I use.

Marth and DK will possibly be removed ( not likely with DK, though), but Mario is easily one of the top eight characters on the game ( just play Huy and you'll see how nearly impossible it is to have any combo on a good mario), Sonic is too fast to be below mid tier ( high-mid on my tier), while Ike's offense is utterly ridiculous.

Also, Kawaii--of course.

And no ZSS. Period.
