Dead. *****es.
I think its time Wolf o' Donnel got his own game.

One that is actually LONG and has a lot of lasting appeal. Some thing that can make star fox not sucky anymore.

What do you all think? any ideas?

That would be pretty cool. Don't know if it would be a popular idea, but I would sure love it, especially being a Wolf fan.

Plus I feel like Wolf's "popularity" in Brawl would help increase sales if the game were to come out.

It could be cool, but it would have to have something to differenciate it from the main Star Fox games. Like how Wario land had a greater emphasis on fighting enemies than Mario, and the treasure collecting.

I would actually like to see Star Wolf in sort of a spin off from the main series. Keep the space battles and stuff, but just tell the story from his perspective. Maybe even have some run ins with the Star Fox team.

And more flying levels than on-foot levels. The only time I enjoyed on-foot in Assault was in multiplayer.

I was thinking of that too.

Nah, I never see Wolf on the ground anymore. Keep the flying levels and up the grounded levels.

Make it the complete opposite of Star Fox.

If you think thats bad, its not. Seeing Star Fox is a On rails, why not make Star Wolf a dog fighting game(no pun intended) Wolfens seem to be more suited for chasing and doing maneuvers while chasing airborne craft, while Arwings are like Fighter Bombers giving air support shooting both Air and Ground targets. When you met Star Wolf it was always during a Dog Fight Scenario. Like on Fortuna(64 that is. Forgot the name of the real planet lulz) was a Dogfight mission.

I mean it would be awesome to play the Hunters in a aerial game of Wolf and Fox(Cat and Mouse NOT Mr. O'donnel and Mr. McCloud)

I think they need to make a game where you watch Star Fox the entire time. Then, when they're about to do a specific thing, you press a button and you shoot everyone, at which point Wolf says "Can't let you do that, Star Fox!"

Thoughts?

I think they should just pull an Sonic Adventure 2 and have a 'Light' storyline (Fox) and a 'Dark' storyline (Wolf). Then at the end, they have to join forces to completely pwn Andross for trying to kill everybody.

On-foot Star Fox is awesome. They just, you know, need more actual flight levels in the next game.

And a spin off in which you sit outside your local coffee house, and whenever you see one of the baristas making some bad ****, Wolf says "Can't let you brew that, Starbucks!"

I would love a Star Wolf game. It would cool to see everything from Wolf's point of view and find out about his origins and how he met his crew members.

But, shouldn't Bowser or Ganon get their own game first? They're more popular Nintendo villian characters.

I feel like Bowser and Ganon basically chill out in their evil lairs and stuff and just wait for the heros to destroy them.

Wolf on the other hand, he seems like he spends time doing missions and such.

Agreed. A SA2-style game would really work, I think that that SA2 had a great concept that more games should pick up, and it would work well for the franchise.

Haha, that'd be great.

Well, despite how good an Idea that might be, I kinda doubt it's actually going to happen. If you think about it, Starfox is one of the seven main Nintendo series, and of those, Pokemon doesn't have a regular cast, Samus is the only real protagonist character that does any real fighting for the federation (and doesn't die), Link is so Iconic that Nintendo can't have a LoZ without him being the main character, and Kirby has sub games to do that (Check, several Kirby games allow you to play as someone else too, just you have to play as Kirby first). Really, the two oldest of Nintendo's Known franchises are the only ones who's characters get a game of their own outside the major Character, super Mario, and Donkey Kong (although DK is limited only to a spinoff and a remake of said spinoff, Diddy Kong Racing). Luigi got his own game (Luigi's Mansion), and Yoshi & Wario got their own franchises (Yoshi's Island **** and Warioware for example). Starfox is really, Really tiny in comparison to those 6 other franchises, so just jumping from 5 games backing one Character to their rival is kinda crazy right now. Besides, if they do that, Wolf, unfortunately, isn't likely the most likely one. There was a game called Dinosaur planet that was supposed to come out on the N64, but was scrapped due to the fact that the N64 was ending it's life (Mother 3 suffered similar fate). Guessed who was the main protagonist? If you can't guess, the game was remade into Starfox Adventures after the fact that one of the Characters looked similar to Fox. The other one got a redesign into... I mean come on! If you call yourself a Starfox fan you can answer this one!

I think wolf is a bit too mysterious to have a full game. Having one would damage his epicness rather than build it. I like him just fine flashing in and out of games and trying to kill/save fox depending on how he's feeling that day.

Pretty much it was Krystal. For Dinosaur Planet. Rare canceled it and then made it into Adventures. Which proved the Cube was on par to the Xbox, with all the fur rendering.

But in all things that is Star Fox, Star Wolf are the Dog Fighters of the Star Fox Universe. Any time you encounter them they do all the Aerial jobs and when they teamed up with Star Fox, Star Fox always gets the Ground Targets. In SF64 Arwings were as i said the Ground attackers. Their design and Weapon Loadouts, the 2 wing lasers for Strafing and Nova bombs for obvious reasons, are ground attack weaponry. Plus Arwings are laggards when it comes to a dogfight. Wolfens on the other hand load outs are suited for Aerials dogfights. 2 lasers in the fuselage, for closer ranges(the converging points don't need a extreme range to meet each other) and missiles were used in the Star Wolf fight in Assault.

If they are gonna make a Star Wolf game they better makes it a dog fighting game. I mean piloting Wolfen's and then strafing Bombers attacking your clients illegal activities then taking out the Fighter escort picking them off while they burn and explode in a shower of flame and metal. That seems awesome.

EDIT:On the topic of a possible star Fox spin off game, what would happen if Great Fox II got attacked out of nowhere and then damaged critically that no arwings could lift off. I mean would it be awesome if you then control the firing controls for the missiles and possibly turrets with the Wiimote? That would be epic.

I kind of agree with this. It's Wolf's (Star Wolf's) mystique. A game like this would need to have a story that's very worth telling and/or some awesome possum gameplay. If the game mechanics are good enough, they could integrate it into the main Star Fox storyline (because we need a little bit of consistency there).

This.

Also, be wary of spinoffs. We all know how the game Shadow the Hedgehog went...:burst:

We should get Crush40 to do the main theme XD.
And make it like on Secret Rings, so that every time you press a button on the menu the song loops.

I'd like a Star Wolf game though.

I feel like a game where all you do is control the Great Fox would get old real fast.

I also wish the Great Fox didn't get its *** kicked all the time...

I remember being really pissed when they cancelled Dinosaur Planet. Not only did it look like an awesome game, but Fox should not have an on-foot game! Also, there has been a LoZ spinoff: the Wand of Gamelon! XD

Well its only going to be say, half amission. You control Great Fox II defense systems until ROB can get the Great Fox II runway cleared. OF course true to the Star Fox series, that part is going to be on rails. Possibly a 10 minute time space for the fist part.

Then you go all range mode and blast any remaining in the sky.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsFRuvQ6EwU could possibly give you an idea of what i'm talking about.

Only reason why Great Fox I and II keep getting ***** kicked is because its a carrier. Take out the Carrier the planes are doomed.

Yeah a mission like that I could deal with. An entire game based on the premise that you're controlling the Great Fox? Probably not.

Sometimes I wish the Great Fox were more intimidating and powerful you know? Maybe so it could serve as more of a battleship than a carrier/dreadnaught. I'd like to see it bristling with weapons like a Super Star Destroyer to be honest.
