Finally, making some progress. As soon as I find a quality picture of the Moon, I'll have that one finished.

I unpacked the Yoshi's Island Brawl file just to take a peek...I almost died. So. Many. Texture. Sheets.
Aren't you able to keep the stage as one form, probably making less work required? The Wastelands texture for that stage is a simple dirty brown that doesn't change. The flowers look dead. And lastly, there are magikoopas instead of shyguys.

^There is the chocolate island, in case you haven't seen it. I'd hope that some brown and gray would be simple if it didn't change. Mountainy, paragoombas, etc.

Don't worry, I've played plenty of SMW in my life. I'm not quite sure how to go about freezing YI on one season, though.

And more problems - it's telling me the file size for my Moonified PAC was too big, and tells me to reduce the pallet on +1 and +2 textures. I have no idea what that means. When I go to Mode>Index and reduce the max number of colors, then Convert the image, it just gives me an error message when I go to recompress it and tells me that file will be skipped. Anyone?

Touhou final destination. Preferably based off of Yukari Yakumo and her borders. >_>
I'm still looking for a brstm of her theme. I saw ninjalink with one on Youtube but I guess I'll make my own...

Taken from the readme in STASH v10:
4. Too big file?
If STASH tells you that the file is too big, you will have to modify some textures (reduce number of colors, make simpler patterns, etc.) and try it again. NOTE: Problem can be also in any normal texture (non +1/+2).
Image that end in +1 or +2
Before saving you must give a palette to the image.
* Go to Image > Mode > Indexed Color.
* Be sure to uncheck the 'Transparency' box.
You can usually use 256 colors, but some images need a smaller palette (you will know it when you go to the next step).
* In the 'Palette' box select: Local (Perceptual) and type a small number.
From the Q&A thread:
Q: After running Step 2 Create in STASH, it runs almost until completion and then it says the final file size is too large. What should I do?

A: First of all, you'll need to know how to index an image. In GIMP or Photoshop, go to Image > Mode> Index and choose the number of colors you want. So, index the picture to anywhere from 32 to 150 colors (higher is better details), and then before exiting, switch its mode back to RGB (Image > Mode > RGB). Now save the file. You should notice it gets smaller, and do this with many of your images until the file size does not go over the limit.
Hope this helps.

I haven't tested it myself yet, so no pictures, but that should be the correct download link to the Mansion stage.

And that should be the FalconWare link. Sorry for all the confusion.
Just played on them now, they both work fine. I love the scribbly Falcon face in the background of Warioware. The moon is awesome. The only suggestion I have is would it be possible to lower the moon a bit so we could see his face a bit more when playing? I imagine that the only way to do this would be to make the moon picture smaller but move its centre father down. I guess you'd have to make him a lot smaller so I'm not sure if it would be worth it or not.

I could certainly try, but I'd like to test it myself first to see just how much I would need to change it.

Once again, I fail at texture editing. I keep trying to shrink the moon into view, but every time I test it, it has the original-sized moon with the smaller one on top of it, even if I erase the original one in GIMP. I give up, I'm moving on to another stage.

Can you make stage textures transparent at all? like all those clouds (and castles and trees). I might take on that yoshi's island final boss stage myself if I can learn to texture. I've never done a texture before so im playing around with things.

You might be able to, I've never really tried except with the moon, which didn't quite work the way I wanted it to. If you have any other questions, I'll answer them the best I can - I'm using GIMP at the moment.

I was sort of hoping this thread would die.

Plus there's no giant lamb head on the front of the Rainbow Cruise ship, so it would be pretty tough to recreate the Going Merry or Thousand Sunny.

Someone needs to post pics of the moon texture. I'll do it myself if no one else does.
