Long and tedious sometimes, but I appreciate the creativity in telling the story without words. The Boss Battles were interesting. 17/20.

I give it a 17/20. The story and the cutscenes were great and the boss battles were a lot of fun. But I didn't really like the fact that you get all characters by playing SSE, it's way too easy. But oh well, it's not a big deal.

As a fighter, it gets an 16. As treating it as a normal game, it gets a 10.

I'd give it 16/20. Great cutscenes and fun boss fights were a really nice touch...but less original enemies and more Nintendo enemies would be prefered.

The bosses like Galleom, Duon and Tabuu are fine in my book, just more Nintendo enemies like Space Pirates, Zelda enemies (too many to list here), maybe some random soldiers from FE...oh, and deffinately more bosses directly from Nintendo games...I mean really, the bosses were the best part of SSE and they missed their chance for some great ones like Gohma, Medeus, K. Rool, Kamek...any of those would've been great.

won't tell you that...
16. The story is a bit incomprehensible, unless you read the second-to-last dojo update

Also, too many cutscenes. Without them, there might have been a few more characters like Peppy.

19/20. Tons of fun in coop.
And I really like the sticker system.
The cutscenes were like a "reward" for playing, pretty funny stuff in there.

Should probably be in the Single Player board, but I think SSE was an excellent replacement for Adventure mode. In absolutely every way. 18/20. There was a small amount of tediousness that may have been avoided, but overall still very good.

Atleast they tried. But I was expecting a story that actually related to Nintendo, and enemies that are actually from Nintendo. And a plot that actually made sense.

It was fun for a while, but it got extremely repetitive.

Also I think this is the wrong board for this thread, but this'll probably get moved, rather than locked.

Yes, this probably should be in the single message board, but I would give SSE a 17 out of 20.

I loved the cutscenes, the stickers, Co-op, and I never get tired of the bosses. The only thing I didn't like was how easy it is, even on hard. Also, I didn't like that the characters could be earned without fighting them.

Levels too long, bosses too hard to get trophies of, Primids suck, I could go on but I won't.

thanks for all the comments(i read them all), i forgot to say the co-op is really good so that you and your friends can do something other than battle like if they suck

15/20. I enjoyed it, it was a bit like the Kirby games. You could clearly see Sakurai's work, but the Great Maze was a bit too much. I would've preferred a whole new area instead of a recycled mix of already visited places :/

..in b4 lock i guess...
I've been back to General Brawl section for about 24 hours now, and that's the second time I've seen you say that.

I'd forgotten what it was like here. Poor Mic, I would hate to moderate this place.

thats why i unlocked everyone before i started playing SSE

and for jigglypuff and wolf and toon link, i got all them the second method after beating SSE, for TL beat classic as lik, Wolf beat boss battles as fox, and for jiggly, i dont remember how, or what ways there are for unlocking her

id give it about a 16/20

I give it a 17/20.

I liked the co-op, bosses, cut scenes, and collecting extras, but it got tedious after awhile. Some levels seemed too long, especially the maze at the end.

Oh, and I would have preferred some more familiar enemies.

some of the cutscenes were great, but since Sakurai mentioned he wanted a better 1-player mode (which I'm surprised why isn't SSE good?), plus I think there should have been at least some subtitles or dialouge which I guess is asking to much, but some sort of communication would have been better than nothing, plus the story wasn't as difficult as I expected it to be, Sakurai should have made it difficult to the point where players would give up and smash their controller to the ground, overall it's good but nowhere as near as awesome as other story plots as FFVII of Kingdom Hearts, but then again Smash isn't suppose to really be about a story, but Sakurai could have done better

Overall Score: 12/20

I'll give it a 16.5 (I'm being different haha).

Loves:
I love the story.
The cutscenes were epic.
The Cutscene at the end with Link and Zelda reviving Ganondorf = my favorite scene
I loved the match-ups of characters.
Ridely was awesome!

Dislikes:
Sometimes the boards and enemies got repetitive at times.
I wanted some characters to get a little more of the spotlight (I'm just picking favorites lol).
Tabuu's a jerk.

That's all.

I played it with my brother in Co-op. It was fun except for the last level. It's not really something I'd want to play through again.

Seeing as they didn't HAVE to include it, and its not a whole game in itself, I give it a 9. It was fun to play, especially in co-op, and I love the cut scenes, and a pretty cool story. Plus the hilarious capt. falcon-olimar cutscene.

*out of ten. Only because i'm a ninty fanboy, and seeing link, kirby, mario and pikachu in a game fighting bad guys together in a game together is one of my dreams. Although they coulda pieced it together a bit better.

The only gripe I have with the game is the uninspired levels. I mean c'mon! Even the adventure mode in Melee had much more levels from different franchises and they were all awesome. The first level alone beats all the levels of SSE in my book. Do you know why? Mainly because I'd be willing to play that same first level over, and over again unlike anything in Brawl. The boss battles and cut-scenes in SSE were great though. The story didn't make sense, but it doesn't have to. It's a great feat for what amounts as an extra though. Not to mention co-op was fun, even if you had to share lives..

I think that the Subspace Emissary was an epic, game-in-itself-and-why-include-in-Brawl effort, by Nintendo. I really enjoyed it - the highlights were undoubtedly the cutscenes, and the collaboration of certain characters that you thought would never happen (Snake, Lucario and I forgot the other one). Stuff like that made me glare at the TV screen in awe. The only problem I had was that in two player mode, the camera was Sonic 2-esque, where the camera would only focus on Sonic (or P1 in this case). The boss battles were good, but I still can't figure out where this Tabuu guy comes in. That annoyed me, because you beat him without any real motive, he was just there to beat. The ending wasn't too good, it was almost an anti-climax.

But still, epic manoeuvres.

SEE was both an enjoyable and frustrating experience. It was fun overall, though. I'd give it a 15/20.

Here we go, with my RANT.

I was really disappointed with most of the concentration on Mario, Pit, Link, Kirby, Yoshi (I don't even know how many times you had to play them). While the other characters had "ok" to "poor" concentration (e.g. Sonic who was just tossed in there at the ending). Oh, come on! At least have him added to the party sometime during the adventure. I'm also aware that Sonic was added about a year after the announcement of Brawl, so that could have been their reason.

Overall, next time, I wish they could make it fair for the other characters by making them have a good and equal amount of playable parts so people like me, whose favorite character is Fox (Had somewhat an "ok" amount of playable parts), can be satisfied with their favorite character/s role in the story. The story was enjoyable, it's fun to play with another friend/sibling. I wasn't fully satisfied with the timing to beat it (yeah, I'm picky). I believe they will try to improve it in the next game.

SSE was a LOT more than I expected. It was really fun and interesting the first time playing through, but after having to play through the whole thing 3 times.. It's really repetitive and boring. Especially the Great Maze. The cutscenes were really amazing. I didn't think anyone expected the plot to be anything as complex as something like Final Fantasy..
