Did anybody ever talk about how Luigi's new Poltergust 5000 final smash challenges/supports the E. Gadd Leak?

As far as I can tell, as soon as the PG5000 showed up, the E.Gadd leak was dismissed.

Might be too early to tell though, but honestly, that's too many vacuums.

So I have a theory for why we didn't get any new characters last month.
This month we get a newcomer reveal in a Direct, and that Direct is followed by a Smash Dev Direct.
The last Dev Direct had 3 featured characters and I feel that they can highlight the next batch in this one.

Playing devil's advocate because i do agree that the E.Gadd leak was silly to begin with, but why are all the sword users okay but God forbid we get two vacuum users...

That's a fair point. I do think however that depending on how Luigi's new final smash works, having a character that just uses the Poltergust in general could take away from it being Luigi's time to shine with the Poltergust.

Though that reasoning is kind of silly, but that's all I've got right now. That, and it seems like an odd choice for a sixth Mario rep (since Luigi doesn't have his own franchise icon...or maybe he DOES but we don't know it yet..) if we get one.

That's a fair point. I do think however that depending on how Luigi's new final smash works, having a character that just uses the Poltergust in general could take away from it being Luigi's time to shine with the Poltergust.

I doubt they would switch Luigi's icon from the mushroom to something else. And i don't want E.Gadd in there- there're more important characters who aren't represented yet.

We've had game centric Directs.
Pokemon comes to mind.
I can't think of any Dev Directs outside of Smash to be honest.
So it's certainly not out of the question that we get one this month.

imo, it's very obvious that a direct is coming because of the drought (rosalina situation) but I don't thinkit will be a dev one I think it will be one newcomer in a regular direct.

I feel that we would get a normal Direct with a normal newcomer, and then we would get a Dev Direct featuring Rosalina, Little Mac, and Chromarutena (Chrom, Takamaru, or Palutena). Again, just a thought.
The drought is fishy considering that we've been getting a lot of updates before that.

the same happened with rosalina and this is what was the reason I tought that there would be a newcomer revealed in a direct so it's not fishy it's just the same as rosalina (check pic in December in that time, the amount of useful info drastically increased compared to November and before).

I agree about Rosalina, but we got a lot of updates before Mac. And we got Zelda right after Rosa too.

Well during E3, there was a direct for a lot of the games announced. But game centric directs have happened afterwards, but usually close to release. I would love to see more of them though.

I've seen this thread and it made me glad that others believed in his character potential. My only other retro request at this point is either Takamaru or The Amazon from Pro Wrestling.

EDIT: sm anniversary but it seems far I doubt it but yes it is a possibility.

I see your point, only the part that this could be a stage builder with new themes behind it. I stay skeptical because of the spike ball (Not Kirby, Im sure some sort of motion would be occurring around it) and the generic spring that NEVER appears in KI:U whatsoever.

People's position is that it's perhaps possible that stage builder has been expanded upon and can use elements from actual games or themed templates. Nothing to really debunk that idea until we see an official remark on the stage.

Well, if it's actually Palutena's Temple, the spring could actually just be one of the jump pads from Uprising. Just not implemented yet, or it's an older screenshot chosen to confuse us into thinking it isn't Palutena's temple. Graphical details aside, it would've been a dead giveaway.

Yeah I was think that the jump pads would be more realistic in terms of a KI:U stage, but why put it there?

My breakdown:
Orange- A rather generic block, that doesnt look like it fits there.
Purple- A generic spring, not from Kid Icarus. Im sure Sakurai wouldnt have shown this part if it wasnt ready. Besides, why is it in that position. Im sure all of the fighters could reach the area where the Villager is.
Blue- The generic steps from Brawls stage builder
Red- A random spike ball, not seen in Kid Icarus and its not Kirby:

See all the debris collecting around Kirby. By the time all of the debris has been collected, he would have already been going down.

There shouldn't be a placeholder on any stage at this point in development since the game is coming out this year and is most likely in the final stages of development, if not, it's pretty close.

Haven't we been over this already? Lucario was revealed on Brawl's anniversary in Japan and I'm pretty sure that Peach and Little Mac were revealed near anniversaries too.

So it's definitely not out of the question, especially with the lack of games we're getting this month.
