So we lost five and added seven. Is that right? I think we need to tally up how many kills each revealed character will have.

Regarding the weird shadow Diddy has? That sword is Diddy's tail, and the hand is his foot.

I understand that some people just don't like the idea of leaks and that most leaks are false... but to say that none are ever true is just wrong. We would have never had the Brawl leaks.

Yes, history does repeat itself. We'll get some real ones. We probably already have but won't know it until Smash 4 is released. That too, is a part of history. But we all like to forget that, yes?

If all the leaks were always fake, we wouldn't be in this thread, picking apart false ones from plausible ones to ones people like, to ones people dislike. Must we be so jaded? :glare:

It's time to stop worrying and love the speculation. Don't end up being that guy who chases away the actual leaker(s).

I completely agree. 80% of all the discussion in these forums is speculative. We might as well just delete this whole part of the site if people don't want speculation. It's just easier for people to moan and complain here.

If someone predict a character that Sakurai had said did not fit Smash Bros because they were too peaceful. (Villager)

Someone predicts a character no one saw coming or gave a SERIOUS thought to. (Wii Fit Trainer)

As well as predicted correctly Mega Man and Little Mac being in the roster. Then chances are that what he said was initially was meant to come to fruition originally. Especially if the rest of his leak comes true and Pac Man and Mii are included. He got their release date wrong. How would someone know all of this and get the release date of said newcomers wrong?

Plans changed. Simple as that. That's too much to get right and you get one LITTLE thing wrong.

You could literally say this for every leak.

Imagine the leaks with Dixie/Diddy playable combo in them and keeping them alive because PLANS CHANGED.

Okay, but there's a clear difference in a gameplay mechanic leak and a leak about specific newcomers and their release date is the ONLY thing wrong. Especially when two of the said newcomers are newcomers that had severe doubt placed on them before they were revealed.

If you think those two things and types of leaks are one and the same? Then I just don't even know what to tell you, dude.

What about the leaks that give specific dates for character reveals? When those turn out to be wrong we discard them immediately. You're delusional.

Why are you all arguing over the E3 leak? It obviously had some info correct and some not - IIRC that happened with one or two Brawl leaks.

It isn't wrong - It got 4/6 newcomers right, so obviously at least 3/6 was right in some way.

We discard them because they had nothing right, meanwhile this particular leak has most of it's info correct so far. Example: Shulk on Jan 30 from Mr Prediction. Said his proof was this reveal, got nothing else right prior to it. No Shulk = no proof = fake. If/When Mii and Pacman are revealed, then we can tell if it was fake or not.

Me and my friend made the "2/3" leak. Since then, Mega Man has been confirmed. Does that mean we should now keep that leak alive?

Getting SOME characters correct doesn't give a leak credibility. If everything isn't correct, the leak is dead

And if crossplay WAS possible, it wouldn't be very entertaining. You'd have, what? Two stages to play on, at best? Doesn't sound very fun to me.

As of right now, the closest leak we have is the Betternet Roster leak, atleast in my opinion. The Palutena leak, ChaosZero/Brawl-era Leak, and InfiniteGTX Leak seem like the only other legit ones so far. Most of the other leaks always have something in there that doesn't belong.
