First a really big one before I go into character specifics:
Newcomers can only receive invitations after they beat a character already in the roster. For example, when
beat at the end of Punch Out Wii, he got his invite (and then things came full circle when beat him). In smash 4, lost his battle against , and and “avenging” him actually gave them spots on the roster. Come ultimate, got his chance for a rematch and won. Most fighters who aren’t fighters in their home series (like ) got in because they were supposed to fight but he forgot what he was supposed to do and then just played with them the whole time and sent out invites to his new friends.
Now for the character specific ones (I’ve previously posted some of these elsewhere, but I’m spreading the word I guess):
-They all live in the palace that you see in the background of HRC
-Speaking of which, fighters like,, and all get more competitive during HRC than any of the actual battles.
- and both compete over being the best dad. Other dads like and choose not to get involved, for fear of being burnt to death.
- has been giving banjo/kazoo lessons, and in return he’s been giving them ocarina lessons.
- makes uneasy because he has human level intellect and near-perfect free will, but can’t read his mind because he’s still a robot.
- is actually from an alternate “bad future” where won, forcing both and to flee to New Donk City and become back alley doctors. is also slightly evil.
- sometimes gets visions that he chooses to do nothing about, except maybe get a camera out to film what’s about to happen
- and are total bros.
- think they’re good with kids. They aren’t.
- thinks she’s bad with kids. She isn’t.
- thinks she’s good with kids. She is.
- has been secretly taking pictures of everyone’s feet. He’s not even into feet, he just sells these pictures on the black market. is aware of these crimes and has done everything in his power to stop him, like sneaking into his room and destroying the camera before can print/upload the pictures. No one else knows about any of this.
- and are both the biggest trolls in the entire roster and sometimes team up to do Epic Pranks ™ on the other fighters.
-/+/=Metroidvania. I just realized this and I feel very stupid for not shipping any of these two sooner.
- has trouble sleeping because she’s used to staying awake to scout for danger in the post-apocalyptic word she comes from. On nights like these, she’ll just sit outside until she feels safe enough to sleep. Occasionally, or will still be awake training when she does this and will talk to her to help her feel better. Even more rarely, sometimes she’ll just wake up or and vent to them about her PTSD and insomnia and stuff.
- once had his wife Tharja over. Most people didn’t get the appeal. absolutely did.
- is really a sarcastic son of a gun who manages to sass everyone in robo-speak.
