How would Mewtwo and Dr. Mario get along? Well, they're both cut Melee vets that got a second chance in Smash 4, so I imagine that they'd be pretty tight. They'd probably be sparring buddies and fight together in Team Battles a lot. Mewtwo would get a little annoyed by Dr. Mario's cheerful nature sometimes, and Dr. Mario would sometimes be put off by Mewtwo's stoic and occasionally angry nature, but they'd always be best friends in the end. I imagine that Mewtwo would use his massive intellect to help Dr. Mario on his quest to cure the common cold and his psychic powers to help treat patients, while Dr. Mario would help Mewtwo through his occasional bouts of sad and awful emotions. He'd always be there in case Mewtwo needed a shoulder to cry on.

Hmm. I feel like Pit would be rather polite, considering Dedede's "royalty" and slightly fearful of Mewtwo's power. Constantly trying to maintain a conversation with Palutena and Mewtwo simultaneously.
Dedede would be brash, but generally pleasant.
Mewtwo would be...tolerant. Probably irritated.

I have a feeling that we might die down in activity a fair bit a few months after the release of Mewtwo. This thread was pretty slow a while ago, and picked up very rapidly as more news about Mewtwo came to light. We've experienced bursts according to recent news leaks.

I'm sad to think that I won't have anew notification pop up every time I refresh the page on this thread, but nothing can last forever.

Well, there's still a bit left such as traction, jump height, fall speed, weight, teleport distance, and potential sweet and sour spot hits.
I don't think this will take too long of a time to get down, and we can probably expect to have that info within an hour of Mewtwo's release.

The real issue, though, will be getting damages, kill percents, and lag on attacks. I'll probably be contributing to giving Mewtwo's damages if I get him fast enough.

You're right though, we did get a ton of info from the trailer. Most notably, his moveset.

I can answer this already. Traction can be seen in the trailer, jump height as well, fall speed is floaty, teleport distance is same as Palutena's. No sweetspots aside from Bair.

I dunno, you already have coverage on most fronts. I strongly dislike Robin, but I'm going to recommend you play as them because they have the one playstyle not already in your mains of your TBD list: Slow, bad recovery, ranged, gimmicky, strong character.

Okay. Here goes:

Lucario, since you're deciding on multiple mains, should be your main counter pick character for certain MU's. He can go ham on some of the cast, and for others it's an uphill battle. Since Lucina, Meta Knight, and Mewtwo require rather specific spacing, I suggest Lucario. Also because he is a rushdown, spacing, and defensive character all in one package. His Aura and rage can lead to amazing comebacks or early leads, plus his combo potential at low % and his kill potential at high % is huge.

Also he's voiced by Goku, which is a good enough reason, alone.

xD I put a Teemo icon in my original post. His smile is all a ruse, because on the inside he is actually Satan.

But Satan is no problem for the likes of Mewtwo.

Well, Mewtwo, Lucina, and MK are all my #3 favorite video game characters. As for the others: Greninja and Lucario are tied for #3 on my favorite Pokemon list (hard to choose between them both) and I need to decide between them both whether I main them or not, Rosalina is my favorite Mario character, I really enjoyed Robin as a character in Awakening, and Sonic was a favorite series of mine for awhile there.
Another thing to keep in mind is I am an offensive player. I've been debating this since the game came out, and I even talked with Miidas, a ROB player I met on Twitch, and he told me Sonic would be perfect as a rush down character, he classified Lucina and Mewtwo as spacing fighters, and Meta Knight as a Bait and Punish fighter. (from what I recall).

Even Mewtwo, despite being a rangier character, can't attack as effectively from afar as Robin or Rosaluma with his one projectile.
