Hydrualic Hydra
Smash Ace
Nintendo:
*adds Ridley to Smash, a character who has been desired for 17 years but seen as a joke due to statements from the creator himself
*adds K. Rool to Smash, a character that's been desired for about as long but hadn't even been seen in a decade, nearing the peak of irrelevancy
*brings back every single character, even managing to work with both Square AND Konami, even getting a whole second franchise out of Konami
*creates what's arguably the best Smash yet for the best-selling console of the generation
*creates the fastest-selling console game of all time in multiple countries and continents

Yes, listening to consumer feedback can be helpful in raising sales. But more goes on behind the scenes than just 'it makes people happy.' They are ultimately a company that do things that lead to making more money, and there are arguably MANY choices beyond Geno that would make them a boatload more money. The Smash fans want Geno? Okay, people who play Smash will get the Geno DLC, maybe a few SMRPG fans who didn;t already have Smash. SORA comes to play? You've got Smash fans getting DLC, as well as attracting the interest of the massive Kingdom Hearts fanbase. Erdrick drops by? Smash players will more than likely buy it, but at the same time, you have now attracted the community of the highest-selling franchise not already in Smash.
We are free to push for our characters, and voice why we feel they should make it in over other people's favorites. But we don't 'deserve' any of them. I don't 'deserve' Amaterasu just because I bought the game, and you don't 'deserve' Geno just because you bought the game. Tough luck, but that's how the cookie crumbles. We didn't 'deserve' Ultimate in the first place, it's already just such an inherent money-maker they'd have been foolish not to make it. We. Deserve. Nothing.

You really are a piece of work. Nintendo, Sakurai, and the development team already did their job by piecing together this absolute masterwork of a fighting game, and for you to insist that their job isn't done and that they somehow aren't going to be successful just because some fans don't get the character they want is mind-boggling. Every single Smash game would fail at that rate. Ultimate would have already failed, given the notable ****storms thrown over Waluigi, Ashley, and Isaac. DLC will succeed with or without Geno. This game would have succeeded without Ridley or K. Rool. Get over yourself and stop acting like you, or the fanbase deserves anything.I'm so sick of this "owing us nothing" ****, I really am. Nintendo isn't some humble indie dev pumping out free games on steam for us. They are a multi million dollar business. In order to be successful; they kinda have to cater to us, the customers. Not to sound ungrateful; but this is how it works.
