That looks really nice. Wouldn't mind a traditional entry with the same style and visual fidelity as the renders for MoM. No, the HD remixes don't count, as they don't look this good.

Let's not forget the Kingdom Hearts phase two roadmap, there's a LOT of empty spaces and one could easily be KINGDOM HEARTS X SMASH BROS ULTIMATE

The possibility of KINGDOM HEARTS X SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE being a thing to be marked on the roadmap, also means that there's a possibility that (if it actually happens, hopefully) Sora being in Smash can become canon to the KH Timeline. KH plot is so insane and convoluted that I think it can legitimately happen. Imagine when Sora
, he starts explaining to everyone that he had these weird dreams of fighting plumbers, gorillas, witches, gods, and phantom thieves on giant airships and floating islands. "Or was it a dream? I dunno..."

OOOOO! Could you imagine the possibilities of Sora getting a legit crossover with series like Persona 5 and Dragon Quest or making a cameo appearance in FF7R as a result of his appearance in Smash bros. being canon?

I was actually thinking about that for quite awhile, where Sora could make a brief mention in a future Kingdom Hearts game "a journey where I met and battled loads of people, it was fun." or something along the lines
I'd be really down for that, and that wouldn't be the first time this happened, as something similar was in Bayonetta 2 for Switch as well.

Oh, you’re referring to the amiibo letters? I find it funny how Rodin expresses interest in joining Bayonetta’s “fight club”, then he was later revealed to be an Assist in Ultimate.

I think if any crossover with another series is possible, is Sora appearing in TWEWY 2 seeing as how his fate has led him to Shibuya. I doubt a Smash appearance would be considered canon either; Sora has been in Record Keeper and Brave Exvius too, but that never gets brought up as canon
That said though, I still believe Sora in Smash is possible

Know what? I really don't think a visit to Radiant Garden (with Leon as a party member) in the Misty Stream would've taken away from KH3's story at all. It probably would've been a little short like Twilight Town, but I'd take it.

I've been playing rhythm games in preparation since I'm not all that good at them. I know we're not getting much so I'm not really looking forward to the plot this time around.

I'm not expecting anything major either but I am looking forward to see what little new hidden plot there is gonna be. Especially revolving around Kairi because we honestly dont know too much about her.
So I decided to spoil myself on Cyberman65’s playthrough of the Japanese version of MoM. Something that really irritates me with how they handled KH3 content:
The only KH3 assets SE could be bothered to make lower-poly are the Keyblade Graveyard (KH3 version) and the Final World. Everything else is Memory Dives over and over.
Also, Kairi and Sora’s KH3 models were recreated, but only used for the final FINAL song of MoM’s World Tour.

Probably just my KH1 nostalgia talking but if Sora gets in I hope to see the Destiny Islands theme and Traverse town as some of the songs. Wouldn't mind the Destiny island theme mixed with Bustin' up the beach. But Traverse town is such a catchy and memorable song and screams nostalgia for me, hope they'd put it in. Otherwise I like the list, Maybe a fight medley with a bunch of the battle songs would be cool.

Weird to think it took this long to make a KH rhythm game but now actually was a good time to make one as it gets to cover the Dark Seeker saga.

Probably too late to have a positive impact for Smash, unless Disney saw this coming a while ago. It could have an interesting effect on future KH titles in terms of world choice and creative freedom.

So I beat Melody of memories and all gotta say is holy **** was that a fun time. Ending was great too in my opinion. It answered some questions that were left to be answered by KH3's ending and it set up the next game quite well in my opinion. We now know what everyone's doing to progress their goals regarding Sora. Kairi also got some much needed work in regards character progression. All in all Melody of Memories is a great game in my opinion.

I was just rewatching some reactions to past Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentations and, while rewatching the one from November 1st, 2018, something clicked. When Sakurai goes onto talking about the Spirits, he recalls that in the world of Super Smash Bros. (i.e. the lore), the fighters are actually toys that engage in epic battles in the imaginary World. Their goal however is to be able to reach the real World. Rewatching that segment, it reminded me of
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory's ending.
It is revealed in the ending of KH:MoM that Sora has wound up somehow in an unknown World entirely; not the World of Light, nor Darkness, nor In Between; but one referred to as an Unreal World (a World of Fantasy). In KH 3's ending, players do get a glimpse of the Unreal World and the location shown looks a lot like Japan's Shibuya district (the 104 building). Earlier today I saw HMK discuss KH: MoM's ending and what possible routes it could take and I believe it was the second one he mentioned that as I rewatched the Smash presentation, a theory started to build up. What if, the KH lore moving into the exploration of the so-called "unreal World" begins to line up to the end goal of the fighters in the Super Smash Bros. universe? Of course within the KH lore, Sora (and eventually Riku) will traverse Quadratum; the "Unreal World", but this plot line serves as a way to also explain a potential scenario for Sora's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC fighter. Dunno, the idea came to mind and thought it could be an interesting scenario.
why would they need a plot line to explain sora in smash?
Because it feels like something Nomura would do. He hasn't done this for the current crossovers Sora appeared in yet, but it's a gut feeling (but NOT a guarantee) that he might do this for Smash.

I... REALLY doubt this... I get the angle you're going for but I think you're looking at this too hard. Cloud nor Joker nor Hero needed a narrative reason to appear in Smash, they just did, and so would Sora
