I really want Green Hill Zone in Brawl, both as a stage and music. It's my favorite Sonic music.

I couldn't ask for a better Sonic song then, Live and Learn, but I'd like to see a few more newer songs. I guess that there will probably be a song from Sonic and the Secret Rings at least. And I like the old Sonic stuff, don't get me wrong, but I think they need to chill on trying to be too "old school" with him. (no offense to everyone else though! I love 90's stuff! )

I LOLed here at work. That has to be the best inclusion of music for me. I watched that gameplay like 10 times just because of the music. Sonic CD is my fav Sonic of all time closely followed by Sonic 2.

Same here, I watched that video more than I should have. If you look in the backgroung you can also see Tails run through the loop while Sonic and Pikachu are fighting.

Then again, it's not like there was an incredible amount of rep to go around. And it's not like you see a lot of classic rep coming from Sega these days, either.

Still, massive SA2 fanboy inside me was hoping for an ARK stage. Eh. There's always SSB4, right?

2 New Songs: His World (Instrumental Rock version) and Seven Rings in Hand (Secret Rings) are apparently confirmed.

And a total 12 Sonic songs will be in the game (Minus the Victory theme =D)

So let's see

1. Live & Learn
2. Angel Island Zone
3. Sonic Boom
4. What will obviously be Green Hill Zone
5. His World (Instrumental once again)
6. Seven Rings in Hand

and if 12 is true, then there are still SIX MORE SONGS

Although to be fair, all those songs are all fairly enjoyable, except Sonic Heroes vocals *shudders*. I hope it's non-vocal. It's much better without lyrics.

sonic heroes is meh. I personally prefer what I'm made of.
amd Work it out would have been a much better choice for a sonic R song.

They all seem awesome--except Super Sonic Racing; Anything from Sonic R sucks

I'm glad they put in Green Hill Zone, Live & Learn, Sonic Heroes, His World, Seven Rings in Hand, and, particulary, Sonic Boom, but I was saddened by the lack of Marble Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog) and Ocean Palace(Sonic Heroes)

Is anyone else disappointed we got Crap 40 instead of more Genesis themes?

Green Hill - 16 recycled crud.
Scrap Brain - Same lame crap
Emerald Hill - Same
Angel Island - Sounds great! lad to hear it redone!
Live & Learn - Recycled, but still good
Open your heart - No improvement in quality, but the original is still good.
Sonic Heroes - Unchanged crap.
Sonic Boom - Still no upped quality, but an awesome song.
Right there, ride on - Sounds better than the DS version, even though it's not really top quality. Still a decent song.
7 Rings in Hand - Unchanged. Still a great song.
Super Sonic Racing - Blech. Unchanged.

16-bit songs were great on the Genesis, but not in this era of gaming.

What is wrong with the originals? As much as I would prefer Remixes, the Originals still have their nostalgic value.

Besides, not all music will be remixed besides Sonic's classic music. I'm sure there will at least be the 8-bit Mushroom Kingdom song somewhere. And don't forget Ice Climber stage is bound to have a very retro song.

Smash Bros. isn't about having Music of "This era". Braw; is pretty much almost a Nintendo (Plus Sonic & Snake) encyclopedia + fighting. It covers stuff back from the early 80's to present day. Not all of them had to be remixed.

Sorry to say it, but nope, there isn't. There are some 8bit songs, but only, like, two; both medleys, if I recall.

The difference between NES and Sonic though; NES music kinda belongs. But the Sonic recycles... Are completely different. There's no excuse for copy+paste every single Sonic Songs into the game except one.
