Is it bad if I cheered a bit when Vernal was fatally wounded by Cinder?

She spent nearly all of her screentime being a smug prick to Weiss and later Yang, and her fight with the former is what left Weiss vulnerable to Cinder impaling her in the first place. If nothing else, I found it hard to feel sympathy for her based on the scenes she had.

The entire scene of Jaune's Semblance from it's discovery to Weiss' recovery was awesome, btw.

One of the things I absolutely love about V5 is the sheer foreshadowing and just how cleverly the twist of Raven being the Maiden was hidden and handled.

-Of course, Petelgeuse introduces himself again, Subaru offering himself to be one of the Fingers. Petelgeuse in his madness and joy hits his head against a rock over thinking Subaru is so devoted but was unable to meet him before. Subaru stops him saying that the Witch wouldn't want her devoted to be hurt, just to finish their trials of devotion, to which he agrees, and Petelgeuse hugs him, to which he's understandably awkward about-

-He reveals the trial that has caused the Cult to be around overall is that they think that Emilia, as another silver-haired half-elf woman, can be a good vessel to revive Satella in, which Subaru of course doesn't takes well...-

Medea: "So that's what the fuzz is all about? Explains why she's their target at least"

-Petelgeuse asks him to see if he has a gospel... To which Subaru instead reveals one of the magic communication hand mirrors the Cult used and Felix looking from the screen, and the attack commences with Patrasche tackling Petelgeuse, to which he proceeds to use his Authority which Subaru dodges. Confused upon how he can see his Authority, Subaru be like "oh yeah btw Satella is totally into me and I can see her whenever", which makes him madder-
