Perhaps I can start by explaining other types of monsters, or at least what Mewni considers monsters. Some creatures considered monsters here are actually more like other species of animals rather than people. Hydras, flower beasts, giant spiders...Some are hostile, others are passive. Mewmans tend to view them all as a menace regardless of their behavior, and place them in the same category as all other monsters.

As a consequence of that and the enduring conflicts Mewni has had with the native monster population, there's been rise to the fears and claims that all monsters are vicious, uncivilized barbarians who thirst for mewman blood.

I don't blame you for that. This kingdom may not be perfect, but it and this world still has a lot of beauty. Even these royal rose gardens right at home here were one of my favorite places to visit growing up.
