that time you only get a third of your security deposit back because the rest of your housemates choose to not clean anything

and your landlord bills you 1800 dollars to make the place acceptable
1200 to paint
and throws in an extra 280 dollar water bill

and you only get back 180 dollars

instead of 570

irate right now

Take him to court. Did you take before and after pics? I don't see how he can charge you for painting unless you and your roommates damaged the walls. So file a claim and send him a letter.

most landlords will just give in if you threaten to take him to court because housing court is a pain in the arse.

The same thing has happened to me. One time we threatened court, another time we just ignored the bill. You can get out of this if you play your cards right.

there were a couple holes in the walls, but the smaller ones we fixed with spackle and the larger ones we fixed with those repair kits. i'll ask my roommates if they're down to do something court related, cuz one of them is still living in the house

however, it's not a bill that we have to pay, it's from our security deposit that we gave with our rent last june. so it's more of a summary of what that was used for upon our moving out.

Every time someone on the reddit group asks about 64 they get a bunch of melee players telling them that it's a cool game but dated and simple compared to the glorious melee master-game

kinda dumb

Smashboards is way better because you get to read posts for yourself and decide how trustworthy the guy posting it is. On reddit there are more melee players than 64 ones so they just upvote the post that reflects their own ignorant-*** beliefs about how it's impossible to play competitively.

/rage

There was this thread of someone asking what each character's gameplay consists of and what they do. This was the first reply I saw:

I would recommend you to start with Mario. Mario is an overall balance character with both melee and range attacks, so you'll learn the basics well with him. Afterwards, you'll be ready for more specialized characters.
Mario
  • Balanced overall
  • Has both ranged and melee attacks
Donkey Kong
  • Strong melee attacks
  • Heaviest weigh
  • No range
  • Very slow movements
Link
  • Two range attacks
  • Efficient in melee
  • Slow movements
Samus Aran
  • Long reach specialist
  • Heavy weigh
  • Slow falling speed
  • Two range attacks
Yoshi
  • Defensive
  • Strongest shield
  • Range attack from below
  • Slow grab
Kirby
  • Can copy opponent abilities
  • Light weigh
  • Best recovery
  • Fast
Fox
  • Very fast
  • Use a long range laser pistol
  • Can deflect projectiles
Pikachu
  • Zoning specialist
  • Light weigh
  • Fast
  • Powerful range attack
Luigi
  • Moveset based on Mario
  • More floaty than Mario
Captain Falcon
  • Fastest runner
  • Both fast and strong moves
  • No range
  • Falcon Punch is deadly
Ness
  • Range specialist
  • Two range attacks
  • Absorb energy-based projectile to heal
  • Difficult to master recovery
Jigglypuff
  • Lightest weigh
  • Floaty aerial gameplay
  • No range
  • Overall weak attacks
  • Has the single most powerful attack in the game

I feel bad for his son. The vacation in italy was supposed to be a big graduating 8th grade present and he was the one that found his dad and had to call for an ambulance

Doesnt matter, the spurs could've sealed the deal last game if they made those free-throws (Possibly). Then they had a hard time handling the ball in the last game. Like Green handing presents to everyone and Ginobili mishandling the ball in the last minutes. Not to mention Duncan failing to tie the game. When its all said and done they had their chance. They just choked and lost. EOD

And Lebron had way to many free looks that entire game. Of course he's gonna have a good game

yeah if leonard and .. parker? made those two free throws at the end of 6, this would have been a nonissue. but let's face it - joey crawford ripping the ball out of manu's hands as he's about to inbound it and forcing them to check if ray allen's shot was a 3 was completely uncalled for. the heat were scrambling to get into position, the spurs were gonna drive up the court and take the last shot - miss and it's OT, make it and you're champions...and that referee nonsense allowed the heat to set up a defensive play. it basically gave them the entire advantage.

but yeah. green made some dumb plays and manu had one or two nice layups and a 3 and that was it. duncan too should've tied it.

but i truly despise the way the heat are treated. for example, manu came charging down the court, went up for a layup, got tangled up, threw his arms up, missed, fell. no call. alright, cool. lebron came charging down the other end, exact same thing happened, i'm talking practical doppelganger play, and he gets the foul.

not to mention the foul on...leonard? or ginobili? near the end of gm6 on a rebound that would've sent the spurs to the line to go up by 5 and allen's 3 would've been inconsequential. i just can't stand getting a call for 46 minutes and then the last two the refs swallow their whistle...

i'd live with lebron taking jumpers all day though. i'd rather he take them than battier...or allen...or miller...

i dunno. as a basketball fan i don't feel the heat are champions with all their acting and preferential treatment (see: double tech on andersen/psycho T when it should've been an ejection on andersen, or anytime battier held duncan's arms down when they were in the paint, or practially any call lebron got (because it's total horse**** that he can go down to the ground when he's that huge, i mean come on, tony parker isn't gonna push him around, ya dig?)). i don't feel they outplayed the spurs. they successfully quelled green, but it was not their defense that stopped manu. duncan shut bosh down tonight and played spectacularly.

they just happened to be on the favorable end of the whistle most of the time and were very lucky san antonio's offense was poor.

but what do i know, i only play pickup games in the park with a bunch of other guys for fun.

This is by far the most irritating thing about officiating in football and basketball. "Let the players decide the game" is the silliest thing I've ever heard. Refs are such *******. I should be a ref, I would call the **** out of a game in the last 2 minutes. Also I'd call lots and lots of travels.

+1

Yeah but he did take them, him and battier, thus killing the spurs with the 3 pointers. Lebron was hesitating to shoot the 3s they were practically GIVING him in previous games. Wade was the same way, but he never shoots 3s as much.

I remember there being some bad calls in Miami misfortune in previous games though. The refs aren't gonna be able to call a perfect game. Every call is made in an instant,so they're bound to make mistakes or miss some (but that one where they should've called when gino was going for that layup in game 6 should have been a foul, no excuse for that). Let robots officiate the game it will be a lot better!

exactly, go away outsider:awesome:

yeah that block was dirty. we need a gif of bosh on green though SO WE CAN SEE HOW LEGIT IT WAS

i mean the refs have replay. ****ing use it. they already stop the game for TV timeouts, so use that time to review the previous play.

also clubba haha. i'll be at the park with people and they'll call a travel because they don't understand what the half step is. or they'll get pissed if you're wrestling for a ball and they move their feet and you call a walk.

let's just hope the young gun teams put the heat to sleep. i'm looking at you chicago, golden state, indiana, grizzlies...

If indiana had granger this year, the heat would not have made it to the finals.

thunder with westbrook should be able to contend out of the west for a while.

Are you seriously trying to blame the refs on why the spurs lost. Heat won, they played better, made more crucial plays. Spurs lost, get over it.

Green wasn't moving toward the basket and went straight upward and he basically fell because of bosh's manly block.

But I doubt the ref took any of that into consideration, considering all the no calls/bad calls.

it's not like he fell because bosh had a hand on the ball and pushed it back - he fell cuz bosh made contact, his body went right into green's. it doesn't matter if you're going towards the basket or not, it's just a basic shooting foul - you must let the player land.

it was a good block but he bumped him down low. and that was a foul the previous 46 minutes.

Good news. The date for the Kanto Tournament has been finalized. It will be on August 3rd. That means madrush, Brenda and I will be able to go. :happysheep:

Thinking of using FOX for the tournament. FOX is fun. Except for his down smash.

EDIT: looks like the date may not be final... <__< but that's what's on the mixi page for the tournament
