i'm a firm proponent of getting decent with your secondary controller type. I think it forces you to think more and makes you realize the lazy **** you get away with.

Also wtf, since when can't we talk about alcohol? I've been doing it for 1-2 years with no problems. I don't like that the rules (or at least there enforcement), is getting all strict now :(

A$ for pres

I can almost play keyboard Falcon at the same level as controller Falcon (not quite, but not too far away). And I've started training one-handed controller. Clubba gave me the idea, and I think it could be too funny to beat noobs like that. I can beat lvl 7's. Haven't tried 9 yet.

Even if the 64 controller has obvious flaws. I still just find it so perfect for smash. Hard to picture me getting used to another controller for that game.

I got it, I was just like "meh, I'll respond later" and then forgot about it lol

Sorry bro, thinking in Russian is a pain. There's a reason I don't like talking to my parents' Russian friends.

I have a Hori and a Gamecube controller in my room too. No 64 controller though. My weapon of choice to fight off burglars is keyboard anyways

its more like 4/12

i see your point
12 controllers? thats legit. I got 9. 3 of them are horrible. ( I allways let other players borrow them when we play other games than smash) >=)

5 of them is really good since I havent used them so much yet. And one is untouched extreme green mint wet in the panths.

Either you should upload the greatest video you ever made. Or upload something totally unexpected, like the sopranos ending on the shows last episode.

I got 98 ARRrr!

Also, Eggland and Hype have exactly the same views...

o____________O

What does it mean? :scared::scared::scared:

EDIT:
Did a (smash) controller count in my room:

7 64 controllers (1st party) - only one is mint.
5 Mad Catz/random 3rd party controllers- Something is wrong with all of them.
1 Hori- Mint condition.

1 new Japanese Gamecube controller- Mint condition.
4 ghetto janked Gamecube controllers- Something is wrong with all of them.

I can now 4-5 stock level 9 CPUs with one hand héhé. Next time I'm playing my mate, I'll use only one hand.
Nice man. What's your technique? I go left handed, gripped just like regular play, using my left thumb to hit both A and B. I'm limited to jabs, neutral airs, shield grabs, dash attacks, neutral B, and when recovering up-b though its pretty hard coming from the right side.

I hold it with the right hand.
Thumb on the joystick: a bit awkward, especially when I need to smash.
Middle finger on R: really powerful, you can grab, usmash, any aerial, z-cancel, tech.
Forefinger kinda on a/b: this one is really awkward and unreliable, since I can only use the inner side part of the finger to press the buttons. I mainly use it for up b (recovery and doug hug) or down tilt edgeguard (so I can prepare my finger to press a).
The other fingers (ring finger and little finger) grip the right part of the controller.
With Fox, I can also quickly hold it the normal way and SHDL as edgeguard or camping.

What I can't do:
-Shield. The z button is too far for the ring finger to reach it without moving the hand. I can roll from a ledge though, since I have time to reposition myself.
-Short hop. I would have to work on my forefinger precision. Now I mostly stick hop.
Then there are some unreliable/inconsistant stuff:
-Use the joystick precisely.
-Use a attacks that can't be performed with r.
-Z-cancel
-DI
etc.

If anyone has another/better technique, feel free to share :).

edit: I remembered this one-handed combo vid and went to watch it once again. It's funny, because I actually hold the controller the same way as he does. Not quite at his level though.
