Yeah, let's be realistic here.
The chances of a Western person joining a Japanese company, becoming an important figure there, convincing higher ups to revitalize a dead franchise and give that newbie the reigns beyond every senior before, and letting them rewrite the main-series lore is... uh, zero.

IDK. Maybe. The more I think about it the more I think that i’m not the right person for a project like that.
I’ll keep the project idea in my head, but it’s a genre and style I really don’t have any passion for. Maybe if one of my co-workers or friends has a passion for it, they can head the project.
