So just got back from King of the Monsters.

So anyway, kneejerk aside...

I don't think any of the nerfed top tiers or going to be bad now. Pichu still has great frame data, but he's gonna be a lot more riskier to play since he deals more self damage. Olimar lost a shield pressure tool, as well as having to be more wary of edgeguards, but Pikmin are still versitile. Idk what Peach got, but it won't gut her completely. And Wolf was never at their level tbh.

It's really good, but it's also pretty weird too. The writers and directors weren't lying when they say that you get a butt**** ton of monster fights in, especially if the lack of them was a turnoff for many who saw the 2014 movie.

I just love the absurdity of a giant Cockroach monster getting drooped kicked by a giant Crocodile monster while being held by a giant robot. This scene is pretty goofy even compared to other Godzilla movies, but still it's awesome in its own way.

Decided to create my own roster whilst waiting for E3, spent all day on this.
Three rules when working on this:
All characters in a series are in the same row.
Third parties are at the end.
No non video game characters, all characters are at least marginally realistic.

So basically Peach, Olimar, and Pichu are still good, it's just that they're a bit more vulnerable (although Peach seems barely effected).

Lucina is still probs up there.

Dunno why Wolf is getting all these nerfs when Nikita is literally right over there, but meh; He's still good.

Dunnk why people are saying the meta changed drastically. I mean, more balanced, but still the same top tier placements overall it seems.

Unless they're talking about BJ possibly rising a tier, maybe two if I'm generous. Oh, and Captain Falcon.

Is still up in the air on how much it changed. Some say it kills 3% later, but others say it had it's base knockback reduced by a bit.

The more I honestly really think about it. G14 is the Alien (1979) of Godzilla whereas KotM is the Aliens (1986) of Godzilla.

I will admit too despite how much I loved KotM that the human element and story was much stronger in G14 (Except for Serizawa where I thought he was better here) whereas this one was much weaker but what made up for it was all its giant monster action.

But all in all though still my favorite movie of this year and it'll remain to be due to bias reasons.
