Gen 4 and 5 felt like the series was really preparing for something grand for the series. HeartGold/SoulSilver are still absolutely one of the greatest games on a handheld ever, Black and White was great thematically, features, location etc and Black and White 2 bulit upon.

Felt like after, it just messed up. Ironic when it transitioned out of sprites it felt like the series began to lose it's way IMO.

Just finished watching through MHA Season 3!

Very good. I would go back to starting the show if it weren't for other stuff.

Thankfully tomorrow is Suffering Season 2. I might also start watching something a bit more heavy hitting. Maybe Soul Eater because of Fire Force.

Can I just say something personal regarding Pokemon? I feel that I prefer the 3D games rather than the 2D titles, tried playing Silver in the past and it was just so different from what I've experienced with Omega Ruby and Moon. Maybe I need some more exposure to the other generations.

What were your thoughts on it? When will you begin S4?

Yes, I intend to go through the whole series up to the current season. It was good enough for me!

I feel USUM in particular really soured people on it (and Alola as a whole). It seems like a lot of fans became more negative on SM after they released, and I feel it's because it didn't really address too many of the flaws people had with the originals on top of having a few of their own. So it exacerbated some of the negative aspects of SM since you're playing through them essentially twice, and due to the fact that USUM is more contested Alola doesn't have a definitive version that the overall fanbase remembers it fondly for.

It unfortunately gets dumped on for the same reason M&L Dream Team gets dumped on: Unfortunately long tutorials.

SuMo and Swoshi were so damn boring so I never ended up completing them, but I've enjoyed my time with the other gens.

My problem with Gen 7 is that it focused too much on its story.

Alola feels like a cool region but you never get to really explore it because Hau and Lillie keep pulling you around places.

I mean, yeah. The current arc feels like its building up to a climax or sorts. So I can easily see the series reaching its end before 2030.

So just found out The Batman wont be part of the DCEU. My interest has been peaked. Helps too Matt Reeves is directing having liked three of his films (Cloverfield, Dawn and War of the Planet of the Apes).

Will also see The Suicide Squad just for King Shark. Plus James Gunn directing. I still wish Croc returned. A missed opportunity to have a bromance between and King Shark. Two apex predators. The crocodile and the shark.

Also, it says "Totalmente en Castellano"...does that mean there are no other languages option other than Español Castellano? o.o I think very rarely there are AC games that are dubbed in Español Latino. xD Though I am glad it is that way, I got used to the original voice acting in English myself.

xD Of course, this is the only one I got, and it's actually just for display since I play Rogue on PC. :V It's "Limited Edition" because it includes the cute little seal. xP And it's damaged by the sun because I got it on a second hand sale, and since my friend was selling it and he knows how much I love Shay, he gave me a really good discount. Oda said last year he expected to be done in 5 years and his editor agreed with that.

They probably mean saga, rather than arc and with how the pacing has increased lately I can see it happening. Not sure it will hit the 2024 end date but I'm predicting it wouldn't miss out by a lot.

Funny to think Oda originally intended the series to go for 5 years but thought up enough stuff during serialisation to keep it going.

I've seen a lot of people complain about the bad voice acting in Shenmue 3.

Is it weird that I actually find it kinda charming? These are good voice actors who were specifically directed to sound weird because that's how the first 2 games sound. I think it adds to the charm of this series tbh.

It makes sense; by the time that this arc is over (barring a massive twist where the Straw Hats lose and everything goes to hell in a handbasket), they'll have almost everything that they need to reach One Piece. (3/4 of the things that they need, along with the means to translate it)

Though that quote could also be in there just to hype up current events and/or encourage people to buy older volumes.

The whole Gen 5 resurgence is hilarious to me, having grown up in the era where it was the red-headed stepchild of the internet. Now everyone treats it like the blood of Christ (probably cause all the kids who played it as their first game are in their 20s now). Makes me wonder, in 2023, are we going to see all this happen for Gen 6? Can't wait for when everyone talks about how much of an underrated champion Diantha was.

In all seriousness, I have to give Diantha one thing. Her quote 'Everything changes, I want to live and change like that too' is literally the only quote from a Pokemon game I can remember off the top of my head.
