Snake Poke Dex Update

I'm down to about 20 Pokemon missing from the main dex and 5 missing from the Isle of Armor Dex. I can currently get 9 of those Pokemon just from taking the necessary steps to evolve Pokemon I already have. 5 of the remaining Pokemon require trade evolutions, and two need to be traded over to me from Sword. I also need a non-Galarian Yamask traded over to me to get Cofagrigus because I must have traded away the one you can get in game facepalm. After that the remaining 8 Pokemon I just need to wait for the right weather for them to spawn... which is going to be sooooo much fuuuuuun! At least two of those Pokemon are Corsola and Solosis, which I can then just evolve with candies, or even breed if I get one of their evolutions first. Turning those two Pokemon into 5.

OK. I know some people really like the Wild Area, but having to wait for the weather in this open world to change, with no way to change it myself without messing with the systems clock, and it only changes once per 24 hour period, is just ridiculous. That's not challenge. It's just wasting your time. It's not like Pokemon gets anything from you logging on to check the weather every morning.

I think I want to create my own Pokémon region. I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be a nice project to work on over the school year.

The base idea is that it’s based off of is the South American and African contingents never separated but were also kind of slightly on top of each other. And they never physically contracted to North America or Eurasia’s Pokémon equivalents. Lots of big megafauna inspired by living and extinct animals, and a bit of a clash between local culture and the remnants of long ago Galarian, Kalench, and Unovan colonization. And a special rule, any regional variants will be the actual original source of that Pokémon. But since most of the big Pokémon Professors were not from here, they get called regional variants anyway. Sexual Dimorphism will be huge in this region, bigger then it’s ever been in Pokémon before. And Mega Evolution returns, but now every Pokémon can do it. If you’re fully evolved you get a Mega Form, but if you’re not fully evolved you just temporarily turn into your next evolution phase until the effect wares off.

Early Morning to you guys. I'm out on a walk before I go meet my friends.

Non Non Biyori OP starts playing while I'm at a park on my anime playlist.

Awkward posting that on phone.

I start tearing up and getting emotional from listening to it

Dammit.

I'm small crying now in public. Thankfully no-one there seems to be noticing.

Honestly if there's anything these daily doodles and art projects have taught me.. it's that I kinda already have a decent base to work off in terms of art skill. It's mainly just that I need to practice. Main issue right now is getting consistent body shapes, and maybe shading.. but speaking of..

question for the people way more experienced in art than I am; how exactly do you shade stuff? I think I got a decent hand on the how and why it works and how to do it but I still feel like I'm missing that last piece that'll tie it all togheter.

So this idea started off as a What-If scenario for AlternateHistory and SpaceBattles but the more I thought about it, the more I thought it'd make for a series whether cartoon or comic.

Basically the premise is a rare mutation that causes sapience in animals giving them human-intelligence and humanoid bodies but its so rare it only affects 1 in a million every thousands of years. These sapient animals would more often than not live in isolation and hiding until, at the beginning of the 20th century, one of them was discovered by one of the governments of the world. Able to not lead to violence, things worked out well with the thanks of Theodore Roosevelt between both with governments soon searching for more of them around the world to give sanctuary to and give jobs within the governments.

Eventually at some point in the present day. Its decided after being kept in secret for so long that the governments around the world decided to reveal them to the public which there were mixed reactions. Some folks accepting them, while others didn't as the sapient animals were integrated into human society as the series will focus on some trying to adjust and find their place in the world. As it currently stands there are currently 1006 of them.

What do y'all think?

First, establish the source of the light. Is it coming from up above or at an angle? Once you establish that, use shadows accordingly in respect to the light. Don't shade by using straight black, use darker shades of the color that will be shaded in.

Among the animal characters will be a crocodile, hammerhead shark, hyena, komodo dragon, wolf, and a saber-toothed cat.

Of all of them. The saber-toothed cat character will be the most interesting I've come up with and already came up with a name for him. Hookfang.

Due to a further effect of his mutation, he's either immortal through natural means or just very long-lived as he's the equivalent to a man in his 30s notably in fitness and shape. What is known about Hookfang is he's probably the oldest being alive approximately 12,000 years old claiming that he watched as the ancestors of Native Americans arrive in the New World which before then had lived off the land before going into hiding and isolation doing so for the tens of thousands of years only killing when it was necessary notably in defense. Eventually, he along with others were searched for and discovered at the beginning of the 20th century where he was brought into the sanctuary of the US government.

Keeps to himself most of the time as a result of having lived his life in hiding and isolation with a somewhat hostile but otherwise mellow personality. Despite this though he possesses no ill-will or grudge towards anyone that would do him wrong always learning to move forward and live on.

Makoto and the Sae/Akechi mistreatment is uncomfortably less heartless in anime form...thank god

Watching the Partner Direct now. I figured that we wouldn't get another one until September or October at the rate that Nintendo's been announcing things, so at least it turned out better than I pessimistically expected. At least this one's longer than ten minutes.

Going by the ESRB ratings at the start, I'm assuming that there won't be any news on No More Heroes 3, Bayonetta 3, or Doom Eternal on the Switch.

-the Kingdom Hearts rhythm game reminds me that I need to play through Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth By Sleep
-of course Let It Go is in here (it's a great song, though)
-watching this makes me wonder why we can't get the main Kingdom Hearts games on the Switch
-I have no idea what any of the Fuser songs that were mentioned are
-didn't expect to hear X Gonna Give It To Ya in a Nintendo Direct
-Taiko No Tatsujin is coming to the Switch; I know the people who support Don-Chan are going to be happy
-is this just a rhythm game Direct?
-this tank game doesn't appear to be a rhythm game, so at least that trend's broken
-didn't expect to see a Rocky game. The characters look kind of goofy, though.
-I vaguely remember Final Fantasy Legend, though I've got plenty of old games to play through, like the Collection of Mana
-surprised that Just Dance 2021 doesn't seem to be getting a Wii release so they can retain their crown as the last game released on the Wii
-Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 - haven't played the original one
-now it's a montage to wrap up, though I assume there will be a One More Thing at the end
-glad to see One Piece getting mentioned along Dragon Ball and Naruto
-I remember Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, though I got stuck at one point. I assume this one won't require everyone to have Game Boy Advances
-doesn't look like there's going to be One More Thing

All in all, not a ton that interested me, though I liked it more than the first partner showcase.
