I'm glad Falcon is the way he is in smash, but I find it odd that Sakurai didn't include a lazer-gun special for Captain Falcon in the original Smash Bros. since it was the only combat ability he ever displayed outside of his car. He could have just copy/paste Fox's Laser and give it to Falcon too.

He's just a cool dude. A shame we won't get more into the bounty hunting side of Captain Falcon, let alone F-Zero alone.

ARMS was supposed to have a Dark Horse comic but it kept getting pushed back. I have no idea if it even still exists now and I live a few blocks away from Dark Horse HQ. I've asked the people I know who work there and no one knows **** about it.

I know I'm late but I'm pretty pissed off on this silence. Last year's Free Comic Book Day preview was such a fun read and I crave for more. I asked the writer Ian Flynn a few months back and he doesn't know either. I thought we'd know more about now to coincide the final Party Crash but no...

Ever think about how weird some idioms are? Like, there's two right here. "Last straw"? What, did people use to be horses? Grounded? Was suplexing your children into the dirt as punishment just something the Romans did?
That's just the tip of the iceberg, but I just thought there's no point in beating around the bush anymore. Oh well, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

The mechanic they have was probably not possible for the 3DS to handle.

Probably because Sakurai knew Splatoon deserved a better welcome to Smash than just DLC. Better to save it as the next big franchise for a sequel than to immediately rush forward with it.

Might be hard to implement their mechanics in an already finished game. Granted the Wii-U version might've been able to handle it, but the 3DS likely had a ton of issues.

Now that I think of it, the ink sticking properly could've caused some headaches when making the game.

It's been very surreal for my friend and I as well. Going all the way back to Smash 64, thinking they should be in (now, I know the reasons of course). I told myself I wouldn't believe, however credible the rumors, until I saw the splash screen. A week later, after seeing Nintendo/Rare tweet about it, and Bowser talking briefly about it on the Nintendo Power podcast, part of me still doesn't.

Their tagline is way more creative and interesting than what Chrom got. I have to give them that.

Assuming Sakurai wants to surprise us with someone bigger or unexpected? What characters do you guys think could possibility top Banjo or at least come close?

Only one I can think of is Geno honestly. I could see Waluigi too him being upgraded from being an assist especially after the outcry over it.

Few others I can think of to is Sora given his popularity and Kingdom Hearts fanbase. Crash Bandicoot as well given his legacy as an iconic gaming mascot back then.

Other then that really can't think of anyone else.

There's only one character that could possibly top those who came before, and I hope he never happens.

I believe Sakurai said he couldn’t think of a move set at the time. He was dealing with other development stressors like subspace and 3rd party characters, so he probably thought it was better to just give it a good amount of representation instead of making a rushed character for the sake of it.
