I mean I’d be excited for something like that too, but I think it could still work if they went with the Detective Pikachu/Sonic movie approach with its designs.

Let me be clear: I don’t think Generations is a bad game. The duality of older and newer Sonic games existed well before, but Generations firmly galvanized the idea that Sonic can't ever coalesce into a singular idea that the fandom can rally behind.

Well who’s an actor that naturally looks like they could play Santa, even if he hasn’t played him before?
That fits as Wily perfectly.
Although he doesn't look like Santa, Tom Hanks can pull off the Fatherly Scientist if they played their cards right.
