Nah, I like it. I was trying to use other languages and was trying to play with words like hearing, acrobat, and stuff but then decide to go for this.

On another note I really do hope for more people to read my thing as well (don't know about you), problem is that I don't know if anyone else is interested in it. And wouldn't want to throw it here. Just hate asking people about it. Makes me sound really damn desperate and clingy.

Feels like as well with the Discord chat today I've put people off because of my rant.
Ehh, I have no shame about it, if I feel like asking people for help, I usually will. You never know if people are interested if you don’t put yourself out there. Nothing wrong with asking for help.

Yes. It's part of the reason I wrote little bios. I can elaborate if you would like.
Be my guest.

Now let's just hope they won't nerf the difficulty. As someone who hasn't played Nocturne (I simply really wasn't into the PS2 for whatever reason), I'm excited to finally experience Matador for myself.
If it's a straight up remaster, I doubt it, one of the best parts of any SMT game is they really don't hold your hand and are not afraid to let you die a lot.

Nocturne's battle system is heavily focused on making the player improve, you gain more turns by hitting super effective stuff and you can also lose turns by making big **** ups like throwing an attack that doesn't effect the enemy. I never played an Atlus game but just reading about how that system's designed and how it naturally forces players to improve, I'm really excited for it

One of my favorite parts is, your team customization is pretty limitless. There are definitely 'top tier' choices, but you can build your team however you want.

You can take early game characters, max their stats, and give them some of the best skills in the game with enough time and patience if you want.

Yeah but online wise I only trust like a number of people from here to read it and they know who they are.... I hope, maybe a few more in the future. And there are a few I haven't properly talked to in a while. (Including the two people who I owe my thanks to getting over my mental barrier when I came here.)
I am literally waving it out there without tagging them.

(Talking now out in general direction)

Just hard getting away from my clingyiness. I really want to interact more with friends here who have been one of my main pillars of support these past few months. It's how you do it is the issue and as mentioned there sometimes some of my comments, while to friends IRL might come off as fine doesn't exactly work to you guys as I can come off a bit rude or a bit of an ass.

Really making friends is a balancing act, even as an adult. Something we could all relate to.

Again post burying makes me paranoid sometimes.

Yeah, me too!

Sounds like a really challenging Game, which is cool to play from time to time.

And apparently It is the hardest SMT game according to what I heard, which makes It quite more interesting.

Also, one of the best things in Nocturne.

Everyone knows of Matador for how annoying of a fight he is...

But have you ever seen

Btw, haven't played a SMT or Persona game so I wanted to ask the fans here about something I am frequently told.

People around Discord tend to tell me that SMT is kinda like Pokémon in the sense that you collect demons and level them up, but at the same time with a way more mature and darker theming.

Would be curious for more context if true.

That's 100% true.

SMT pulls from real life historical/religious/fantasy themes.

So you'll have characters like Beelzebub, Surtr, The ***** of Babylon, etc

Yeah, difficulty is kinda Atlus' trademark as a whole, that's why I'm optimistic. Though SMT4:A felt somewhat on the easy side, though I kinda stopped playing around close to the end. But reading about the last dungeon, it also didn't sound like I missed much.

SMT4 (and Apocalypse) use the same system, while the Persona games use a similar "one more" mechanic. So maybe you can find any of those games for cheap if you wanna try that system out.

That’s completely fair, I guess that makes me think if I’ve been too open here in the past.

I intend on pre ordering this nendoroid, It looks so silly and will look neat standing behind my smash main nendoroids.

Fitting as I main him in that Takara/Konami Smash clone.

Yes the games are monster catching games. But in these games the monsters aren't really your friends, just a means to an end for fusions and spells.

I believe the Takara, Hudson and Konami crossover is called Dream Mix TV World Fighters. I have played it on the PS2 a long while back in which I also main Optimus Prime, Tyson Granger and Megatron. It even had Solid Snake, Simon Belmont and Bomberman as well.

Also can we please get the media uploader fixed? I can't upload gifs here from anywhere! And it would have been nice to use them earlier and now.

Unlike Pokemon though, SMT and Persona encourages you to fusion and swap out demons though. While you could in theory keep using your low level starter demon, it would be very grindy and not worth it. As an example, here's a link to the fairy class. You'll notice that Pixie, for example, tends to be a low level demon, quickly overshadowed by the others in that class. Think of it like a Caterpie or something, a low strength demon for early game you aren't supposed to actually keep around.

As for fusion, it's the mechanic used to, well... fusion two or more weaker demons into a stronger one. It's kinda like evolution in Pokemon in that sense, just that you get a completely new, stronger demon which is usually of a different "type".

In short, don't get attached to your demons.

In the case of Persona the Joker you play as in Smash is his weakest version since Arsene is the starter demon you get and he sucks, really badly. Overshadowed almost immediately by other demons you can catch in the game.

If you are going to aim for the true ending, I wish you good luck.

If you want the Godhome ending, then may mercy have your soul.
Think I'm just going to play the game normally before I start going crazy lol.

Sounds like Pixie will actually be story relevant? Well, I'm actually excited to try it out.

It sucks, too, because I do really like Arsene's design. Much more than Orpheus or Izanagi, that is.

Has anyone else been using the eshop recently?

It won’t let me add funds with the eshop cards I bought. It says the right number next to its value when entered but then gives me an error saying it can’t be redeemed right now.

Alright. Spoiler tagging this one. Some are a bit deeper then others.
  • Leonardo’s twin katanas are best for footsies, and his bread and butter are swift, calculated, powerful strikes. He is the most all-around character in the game.
  • Donatello has the most range. He also has assist from a couple of the gadgets strapped to his shell. He has a lot of pokes and staff flips.
  • Raphael has trained more than the other turtles and is physically the strongest. He has a lot of defense and strength, but no projectiles at all. He is entirely up-close.
  • Michelangelo's weapons, Numnchucks, do not deal a lot of damage, but he can do very many attacks in a row. He is the glass cannon of the four turtles.
  • Splinter fights using his jade walking stick, a tail whip, and his Ninjitsu skills augmented with his rat claws.
  • April fights using a steel fan. It can be thrown as a projectile, but needs to be reclaimed before it enhances her melee attacks.
  • Casey Jones's hockey stick is a fast but low damage weapon, and he can hit pucks with various enhanced effects.
  • Leatherhead is a super-strong grappler, he even has grabs with his mouth.
  • Slash fights with a Morningstar and he can swing it pretty hard.
  • Wingnut has brute strength slashes, with a couple of homemade ranged tools. Screwloose assists in combat by draining health from the oponant and attacking from behind and above.
  • Man Ray’s sonic burst attack stuns the opponent, and his strength makes him a grappler.
  • Mondo’s skateboard functions as a high-speed dash, and his paint cans allow for both long and short-ranged combat.
  • Mutagen Man is a striker character with goo projectiles and a health-siphon move.
  • Bishop is a master acrobat who uses pressure points.
  • Fugitoid is capable of telekinesis, he has eye-lasers, he can project force-fields, and his arms extend for better throws.
  • Mona is a footsie character who wields a plasma sword.
  • Hothead has sharp sweeping claws, a wing dash, a wing bash, and lots of fire breath.

  • Muckman can hurl parts of his body, spew toxic waste, and piledrive opponents with super strength.
  • Nobody’s Exosuit has electric escrima sticks and an anti-gravity cannon.
  • Bebop shoots lasers from his hips, can throw an energy mohawk, and turn invisible.
  • As the mutant rhinoceros Rocksteady, Ivan Steranko’s strength is tripled. His brass knuckles have been fused to his flesh, he carries a Gatling gun, and a hammer and sickle set.
  • Tokka was mutated with a mixture of alien and terrestrial DNA into a fire breathing alligator snapping turtle. Tokka’s claws are strength combined with long reach, and his fire breath is deadly.
  • Mutated with both alien and wolf DNA, Chris Bradford became Rahzar, a slobbering mass of fur and claws. Rahzar is fierce, quick, strong, and cunning.
  • Fishface’s slippery skin lets him slide all over the battlefield, his mechanical legs grant him enhanced kicking power, and he wields a custom switchblade dagger.
  • Tiger Claw uses a sword, blaster pistol, and a jet pac in conjunction with super strength.
  • Karai is deadly with a blade, and can transform her arms and even her whole body into a monstrous snake form, capable of striking from afar with snake arms and a venomous bite.
  • Shredder’s tekko-kagi claws are deadly, and his martial arts talent is only equaled by his rival, Master Splinter.
  • Hun uses mutagen to enhance his musculature, but the effect is only temporary, he needs a constant feed of is to stay strong. During battle he can up his mutagen intake to become even stronger!
  • A human scientist and a lead researcher at TCRI with a strange love of insects, Baxter Stockman fell in with the Shredder and became his robot/mutagen technician. At first, he fought using a insectoid battle-mech, but after accidentally mutating Karai, Shredder punished him by turning him into a cyborg fly monster. Stockman’s wings give him increased mobility in the air, he can spit balls of acid, and fire a laser beam from his cyborg fly eye.
  • Chrome Dome wields a deadly plasma whip, a high-tech Utrom blaster pistol, and he can teleport.
  • Krang can fire missiles and lasers from his android body’s head, transform his hands into buzzsaws and axes, and increase his size for more powerful attacks.
  • Lord Dregg can hover, spit acid, fire off his hand to pull opponents in, and fire insect missles from his chest.
  • Mozar fights using a standard Triceraton blaster rifle, and his horn charges are equally deadly.
  • Armaggon fights using a jaw-like weapon on his head, two shoulder missile launchers, and a devastating tail whip.
  • Null’s magical powers allow her command over hellfire, demon minions, and magical enchantments.
  • War is a monstrous purple demon with giant claws and the ability to induce rage and conflict in human beings. War is dangerous, quick, and strong. He can summon Death, Pestilence, and Famine as assists in battle.
  • The Rat King can control the minds of rats, and he uses them as weapons. He can command them to swarm his oponant, fire off balls of rats, create rat armor and form a gigantic rat golem.

  • Usagi = Samurai.... prettu standard
  • Play Battle for the Grid

  • Kitsune uses magic to charm and zone her opponents, and she can turn into a fox to slip past enemies.
  • The Dragon Lord dual wields a sword and an ax, and he can throw fireballs from his mouth.
  • Alopex wields a pair of hook blades which curse whoever they cut.
  • Ch’rell fights using plasma tekko-kagi, laser eye beams, and telescoping mechanical limbs.
  • Play Injustice
  • The Ghostbusters use the weapons from the video game and have no melee attacks aside from a sprint and a weak kick.
  • Marshal Moo Montana is a cowboy. He does cowboy things. He has a revolver, a lasso, caltrops, etc. He also is a bull, so he can charge like a bull.
  • Draxum is strong and fast and can make portals and control vines. I don't know why, that's just what the wiki says he can do. I haven't watched Rise.
  • Meat Sweats can use his arm tendrils to latch onto foes and siphon their essence, which causes him to temporarily gain whatever powers they possess. Think Shinnok in MKX or Kirby in Smash. Even without his power absorption abilities Meat Sweats has tremendous physical strength and is every proficient using a hammer in battle.
  • Yaotl... sword, demon powers, and magical monsters.
  • Metalhead has a laser machine gun, flamethrower, rocket fist, eyeball missiles, and a taser punch.

  • Bloodsucker is a slippery and fast character with Mira's bloodsucking mechanic from KI.
  • Hattori Kinzō makes use of the Muta-Stones he gave the turtles in the anime himself and uses the corresponding abilities.
  • Ace Duck is Remy (Street Fighter) with wings.
  • Old Hob is basically just Kano with Cat powers
  • Viral is Green Lantern mixed with Wolverine and Omega Red.
Oh god, and I thought my Sonic Clash stuff was a lot.

Sounds like Pixie will actually be story relevant? Well, I'm actually excited to try it out.

It sucks, too, because I do really like Arsene's design. Much more than Orpheus or Izanagi, that is.
It's a really stylish monster. Yeah, it's cool that he's the main one but he's really useless .

SMT seems like something I'd be interested in from a gameplay perspective, but man, a game series where you can only have downer endings just doesn't sound appealing to me.

Has anyone else been using the eshop recently?

It won’t let me add funds with the eshop cards I bought. It says the right number next to its value when entered but then gives me an error saying it can’t be redeemed right now.
Weird.

Today I was able to buy the SEGA Ages Port of Alex Kidd in Miracle World and some Mii costumes without any trouble.

I suppose It could be specific to where you live.
