Smash Obsessed
No. Bi-Han was still Noob (if I remember correctly, this was the first time it was confirmed in game. Smoke stayed human and Sub-Zero became a cyborg ninja.I mean, they're core costumes and part of the Reboot too. They show up in the Reboot as is, so it's pretty important to their lore now. It was eh back during MKGold, where it was just a quick bonus. But they make sense as special costumes.
That's not what I mean by Scorpion. He'd obviously have his masked(human) and unmasked(undead) variant costumes. I'm saying that Cyrax himself has his own human form he's used through the series, but he looks too similar to Scorpion, so all they would need is some costume differences to avoid that issue. It could even be that Cyrax and Sektor don't wear actual masks, and perhaps a small color change. You could make sure the color changes are vibrant too in the same way that Scorpion's colors are a Yellow and a darker or lighter yellow. That way it's programmed so they never would be the same color-coding. I also feel if you want to include the secondary roster, you should have all their proper forms, even if they're just costumes. The oddity is Cyber Sub-Zero, though. Should it just be a costume for Sub-Zero now? ...I forget which Sub become Cyber this time. I think it was Unmasked? And didn't Smoke become Noob instead? I can't remember all of 9's awkward lore and reboot changes.
Nonetheless, I think everybody should have their logical costumes, up to 2 each(since we're talking 1 on 1? If 2 on 2, then it'd be 4 each).
Can't their human forms just be alternate costumes? Could you even have alternate costumes in a game made in this way.
